Maybe… he needs to check it. His thoughts were interrupted when he saw that Ophelia apologized with a lot of 'sincerity'. Note the sarcasm here.
"Maybe you don't need your eyes anymore. Since you are daring to glare at royals. Lower the gaze and apologize!" Lenora's voice resonated in the wall.
Her Highness Eudora said nothing but a smirk was hanging on her lips. Indeed… her education and teachings didn't go to waste. But it's such a pity that… if that thing didn't happen… she wouldn't have put her away for the past two years.
Sighing…. She looked at the apologizing Ophelia. Eudora has to pull tricks to defeat Ophelia, but Lenora could control her like she was dealing with a bug. She wondered what made Ophelia this obedient toward her.
Ophelia entered Eudora's husband's harem in the name of the homeless thing. Even as a human... she never let anybody harm her. But she made her husband turn her into a Vampire and became his wife. Eudora has to do many things to stop her from snatching her seat. At those times, it was very hard for her to make her position stabilize... only she knew how she stabilized her position. Now again she's trying to snatch the power from the Werewolf Kingdom.
This woman was crazy for power!
How Eudora wished to kill her, stake her, expose her to bright sunlight and then burn her. Aye... she got many other ways to kill this one.
"On your knees!!" Lenora's voice resounded again, bringing Eudora out of her thoughts.
'Just like how I prepared her to become a queen. She would be a great Queen!' Eudora praised Lenora in her mind. But she felt bad for her. She wanted to praise her out loud and tell the world that Lenora was her daughter. But she couldn't. Her eyes brimmed with tears, but she blinked them away. Deciding not to think about the things from the past, she diverts her attention back to Ophelia.
Ophelia apologizes to Adira for the third time. She couldn't help but grit her truth. Once she was inside the palace… she would teach this Adira and others a lesson.
"I guess my maid doesn't even know how to apologize. She forgot that her head should hit the ground," Lenora said. Lenora was very satisfied with this sudden opportunity. This wasn't a daily opportunity to make things go in her way. She will make use of this opportunity and will show her rightful place to her. Aye... this was such a golden opportunity to her.
Her actions showed that she wasn't taking things lightly. And here… everyone can understand what Lenora was trying to show.
Lenora's words shocked everyone in the hall. She not only surprised Werewolves but also Vampires. Ophelia was shocked too. She never thought that her daughter would be this heartless.
Maximus smirked at her actions. It looks like her wife was someone who surprises him and people from time to time. His smirk was turning into an amused expression. Maximus waited for her next actions since she was almost done.
Also, He could understand what she was trying to say. She was trying to tell her that she was no lesser of a person than her. A beauty with brains was surely trouble and his future wife was exactly that.
And... she was wearing a white gown with a golden thread design, her body hugged her in right place... uff... she was looking hot. He wanted to look at her for more time but he controlled.
Ophelia gritted her teeth and kowtowed thrice in front of Adira. Ophelia's hatred towards Adira increased further.
"Princess Adira, she is yours to punish if you are still not satisfied," Lenora said with a gentle smile. Her features softened when she saw the expression on Lenora's face. She looked gentle, harmless, and innocent. She felt pity to throw her in between blood-sucking vampires.
Lenora wondered how Adira would handle this arrogant Ophelia right in this situation. She wanted to know if she could be a good queen of the Vampire kingdom and get into the history books of the Valorine family.
