"Looks like I am letting a child instead of a grown-up into my home. I am glad I have someone to pamper." Eudora said.
"But you already have two children. You could pamper them. Why my daughter?" Serene asked.
Serene was quite satisfied with her daughter. She was afraid that her daughter would mess up things at the banquet. And may lead to complications with the pact. If that happens it won't be good for her future. But Adira surprised her. And her daughter-in-law was a good one but a mysterious one.
"Hmm… Well… these two people aren't my children but rather, my parents. They act like they are my mothers and I am their daughter. Adira has some child-like behavior. At least with her, I can have someone to pamper." she answered.
Serene just smiled at her and said nothing.
"Why don't you sit beside me, lovely?" Eudora asked.
Adira heard her future mother-in-law was someone hard to crack. But she offering her a seat was something suspicious. She wondered what she planned. Maximus nudged her bringing her from her la la la land.
Maximus helped Adira to sit beside Eudora. Zaros had to admit, he was pretty impressed by his future wife. It's been a while… since his mother called someone to sit beside her. Unknowingly Zaros was becoming a little attracted to his wife.
He noticed her skin was not as pale as vampires. She was fair. Eye pleasing. There was something about her that made him unable to get over her. From the moment she entered the venue she had stolen his heart. He wondered if she could be this outgoing with him when they were alone. But that just depends on fate and time. He just decided to wait for her to enter the palace.

After dinner, Lenora excused herself saying she needed some fresh air. No one said anything to stop her and let her be. After all, all the vampires knew of her reputation.
Lenora walked inside the garden. The garden was filled with different kinds of flowers. Despite being night… The flowers didn't lose their beauty in the night. As she walked through the garden, she felt extremely calm and cool in the garden. She just hoped no one would come in and ruin her peaceful moment.
Inhaling the air, she looked around. Despite everything, she was still a female who loved flowers and other girly stuff. She didn't think that being feminine was bad. She liked expressing her femininity. It's just that… Eudora taught her that strength was more important than being beautiful.
Bending down, she took a deep breath in the sickly sweet scent of the flowers around her.
"Looks like you don't like crowds, My Lady," Lenora heard a voice saying to her. Her heart skipped a bit looking at him.
"Yes, your highness. I like quiet places," she answered him.
"I can see that," Maximus said as he tried to control the trembling nerves. His wolf was asking him to claim Lenora as his mate. This thing never happened to him. His first mate died unexpectedly without any reason. There were no leads to find the culprit too. From then, his wolf has always been aggressive and rejected every female who came to him. But, he asked him to claim her. How could a werewolf have a second mate? He needs to go through the werewolf history books or meet a witch.
She wore a white dress that looked like royalty. Unlike Adira's white dress, Lenora's white dress is different. It's a white long sleeve dress that hugged her body above her waist tightly showing her shapely breasts. The golden leaves crept around her chest and then like a creeper tree the leaves crept down the skirt in a line making her look like an angel descended from heaven.
She tied her hair in a bun, making showing her slender neck. She didn't graze her neck with any ornaments, which allowed Maximus to look at her exposed skin. Maximus felt like sinking his teeth into her neck and leaving a mark on her neck. His brain was turning mushy and many sinful thoughts were floating in his head.
[God! Remember a werewolf bite can kill a vampire! Remember!] he warned his wolf.
