Ayden's POV ...
ever since the day he had ice cream with Alexa,he was in his best mood and would always smile.
He lived alone in his apartment so he was never disturbed but his neighbor Ashley never missed an opportunity to talk to him.
The next day she asked him to lunch and since he was in a good mood,he agreed as he had no plans yet for the day, and she was happy and dressed pretty.
when he arrived at the restaurant,she handed him the menu to order for the two of them.
He didn't think much to it and just selected a few dishes and a soup,she topped it with orange juice.
He was on in phone typing something when she finally spoke up breaking the silence.
So how are you doing?,she asked and he looked at her but didn't reply and continued what he was doing,she was too happy to care at the moment and just relished on the fact that he was having lunch with her.
There was silence as she ate while he was still using his phone,out of the blues he asked"if I was to ask a girl out,how should I do it?,he said and she choked on her food but he didn't make a move to help her but looked at her from across his chair.
she coughed as he face was red"um..,wh..why do you ask?,she asked with a bright look in her eyes.
Are you going to tell me or not,he said again and she finally spoke.
Well I guess of dinner...if you to ask me out..,I would love it over dinner as the scene would be romantic and my favorite dishes prepared and I would like it in weird setting,she daydreamed as she talked about how she would like him to ask her out.
Weird?,he asked and she understood he didn't get what she said.
Like different from usual,not like boring dinner and stuff,she said and and he made a 'hm.
he called over the waiter and settled the bills before leaving not sparing her another glance.
Did he want to ask me out?,she thought inwardly as she was clouded with happiness.
She went home that day feeling happy and delighted,she was fawning over him and didn't care how he treated her,just being close to him was enough to make her happy for a long time.
Ayden walked pass a bookstore as he thought about what Ashley said.
If I asked Alexa to be mine that way,would she agree,he thought as he entered his house.
I should consider the weird setting thou,she is an adventurer,he thought with a smile as he reached his house but as soon as he entered in the smile on his face faded.
What do you want?,he said as two men from the palace were in his house.
The king asked for you,one of them said.
I'll come when I feel I should,he said and was about to take a turn when one they both pulled out their swords,he stared coldly with a raised brow.
He said to bring you with force if you don't cooperate with us,please cooperate my prince,the other guard said and he had no choice but to go with them,it wasn't that he couldn't fight them but he didn't want to drag attention from the neighborhood to his house,so he voluntarily followed them.
They arrived at the palace and the king looked worried when he saw them he was finally kind of relieved.
You summoned me,my king,he greeted as he stood in the throne room.
you may leave,he said to the two guards that came in with him,when they were no longer close to the throne room he said"I need your help".
Ayden looked at him coldly and replied "what does the king want from me.
Your brother..,he started but was cut short.
My brother,Ayden mimicked him with a raised brow.
Well the crown prince is in trouble,he went to the forest to kill wild animals but haven't returned,I need you to go find out where he is,the king said all in a go.
When does the king want me to go,Ayden said.
Whenever you feel ready,the king said and Ayden turned around leaving without saying another word to the king.
He was in the palace patrolling in case he saw anything strange, finally the gala day arrived and he executed his plants to ask her out.
She seemed happy about the surprise,then he proceeded to the next stage when they watching the stars,he finally asked her out before kissing her,he had no idea how she would react but seeing the shock on her face left him anxious and nervous so he just said "you don't have to give me an answer now"and she obliged.
They both were happy and rejoicing inwardly as they went back to the gala to tend to her slightly drunk mom.
After the gala he went back to the palace and the next day concluded to go find the prince,he went back to the palace and left for his room which was in the other corner of the palace and called his trusted allies who were also his guards.
Incase something happens to me when I am gone,DO NOT INFORM ALLIE,he warned.
His men were already familiar with Allie,as they were secretly around protecting her when their prince wasn't with her.
Yes my prince,they both responded with a bow.
when he entered the room he immediately thought about Allie.
Should I perhaps give her a call to tell he where I am,he said to himself.
na she'll just be worried,he replied to himself.
How about I just ask how her day was,he kept on thinking about what to tell her but he finally decided not to text her so as not to trouble her,he would be done with his work and go back to her so he didn't need to worry her.
The next day,he called out the palace guards to assist him on his mission to find the prince,the guards were hesitant to follow him but as soon as they got permission from the king they agreed to support the prince Ayden.
They started their journey that morning and went into the forest where the prince, Ayden's half brother went into,the vampires had a strong sense of smell and could get hints of the prince but as a half blooded vampire he couldn't sense him so he followed the guards.
