As soon as Alora came to hell once again, the head maid glared at her with a frown and questioned, "Was it you?"
Alora blinked as she got a little taken back by the sudden interrogation, "What do you mean...?"
"There was a fire in the demon prince's room. You were the only one who went there prior to the fire."
Alora gulped as she heard this and contemplated on whether to come clean or to run away.
It wasn't like either of the two options were going to be any better than the other, but she still thought about it and decided to choose the more daring one.
"I might have been a little involved in that. Just a little," Alora awkwardly smiled as she spoke.
The head maid looked to be shocked and horrified as she heard this, "Oh my..."
"Is the demon prince mad about it?" Alora scratched the back of her neck as she tilted her head innocently and asked.
"Child, you should go and find that out for yourself," The head maid sighed as she spoke and this was enough to tell Alora that the demon prince was certainly not too pleased with the incident, "If you are lucky enough, your death would be short."
"..." Alora gulped as she heard this but didn't say anything.
Before anyone could say anything more, the door opened and two guards came in.
Alora was sure that they were the guards simply because the guards around here looked to be quite different. They had the head of a hawk with two horns and four wings that were always folded behind them. Their hands looked to be more human but they also had long and sharp claws that a human hand would naturally not possess.
Alora didn't know who it was but suddenly, she was pushed forward towards the guards who immediately grabbed onto her arm and put a chain on her wrist before dragging her away.
"W-Wait a second!" Alora spoke up as cold sweat started forming on her forehead, but the guards naturally did not listen to her and acted as if they were deaf.
"Wait, let's talk first...!" Alora tried to pull her hand back as she wanted to reason with them first, but the guards were much stronger than her and were not affected by her strength at all.
Alora didn't know if she was supposed to laugh or cry as she felt that she was being taken to her grave.
The guards dragged her all the way towards the room that she had previously burnt down and to her surprise, it seemed that the room had already been repaired.
Alora gulped as she wondered if this made any difference.
If they were able to restore the room this easily then there was clearly no need to punish her too harshly, or at least, that was what Alora thought.
The guards said nothing as they let go of the woman and removed the chains from her wrists.
Alora immediately winced as she rubbed her wrist that had turned red.
"Brother, you should have been a little softer. What if this leaves a scar?" Alora frowned as she glared at the guard accusingly and questioned.
The guard didn't even bother looking back at her as he kept his eyes in front and ignored her skillfully.
Alora's frown deepened as she saw this and she no longer wanted to make a fool out of herself by trying to talk to these deaf guards.
The girl turned to look at the door and this time, she actually remembered the warning that the head maid had previously told her.
You must always knock three times before entering.
Alora cleared her throat as she took a minute to calm her mind and gathered up some courage to knock on the door three times.
"Your highness, it is me, the one who accidentally got involved in the fire-" Before the girl could even complete her sentence, the door opened wide as one of the guards lightly pushed it open with his spear.
Alora pursed her lips as she glared at the guard before stepping into the room.
She was clearly ready to meet the one that she was tasked to kill but as soon as she saw the man's face, her entire body froze, almost looking as if she had suddenly turned into stone.
Her face turned white and her mind was simply too chaotic.
This revelation... Was a bit too shocking!!
Leon's lips twitched as he looked at the girl and he didn't care what went on around her mind as he spoke up first.
"So you were the shameless one who tried to harm your royal prince?!"
Alora gulped as she snapped out of her thoughts after hearing this. However, she also ignored what the man had said as she took a sharp breath in and shouted at the top of her voice, "You're the demon prince?!"
Leon's eyebrows creased together as he heard this and he was also too stunned to give a clear response.
He was sure that Alora would not be taking the first initiative, but somehow, it seemed that Carmen had been right and Leon was proven wrong.
Alora was really a dumb ridiculous mortal who dared to come back and meet the demon prince.
Alora gulped as she stared at the man's face with an indecipherable expression plastered on her own face.
It looked as if Leon wanted to say something but when he saw the girl looking at him like this, he couldn't help but feel like a prey who was being eyed by his predator.
It was truly a refreshing change of positions and he wasn't sure if he liked it or not.
"This can't be!" Alora exclaimed and it looked like the girl had gone crazy as she started talking to herself, "It can't be you!"
Leon frowned as he heard this and felt a little offended, but Alora didn't let him say anything as she continued.
"How can you be here?! This has to be a joke!"
"..."
