"How can you be here?! This has to be a joke!"
"..."
Leon took a sharp breath in as he stood up from his chair and looked down at Alora as he tried to intimidate the girl with his voice, "Are you trying to say that I'm a joke?"
Alora was not the least bit intimidated as she saw the man and contrary to the reaction that Leon had expected, the girl clicked her tongue as she snapped, "Do you have a hearing problem? I called this situation a joke, not you!"
Leon immediately shut his mouth as he heard this and for the first time in his life, he no longer knew how he was supposed to deal with such a person.
"Actually, forget that," Alora spoke with a sigh as she shook her head in disbelief, "Why are you acting as if you don't remember me?!"
Leon blinked innocently as he heard this and tilted his head ever so slightly as he asked in confusion, "You know me...?"
Alora couldn't help but frown as she heard this and glares at the man as she took a step forward.
She was shorter than Leon and she clearly looked much weaker than him as well. She was a powerless human while he was the lord of hell, and yet, when she took a step forward, Leon was the one who felt a little intimidated and unconsciously took a step back.
"Are you pretending or do you really not remember...?" Alora questioned as her eyes seemed to be fixated on the man, trying to see through him.
Leon gulped as he heard this and no matter how much he thought about it, he still couldn't figure out how this girl knew him. He had clearly never shown his face in front of her.
He had been watching her through the flames like a stalker but this was the first time that he was seeing her in front of him like this.
Alora's eyes widened and she didn't bother taking another step forward as she let out a scoff, "Wha~ You really don't remember me..."
Leon opened his mouth to immediately refute that, but thankfully enough, his last brain cell that was left working made him stop.
It would probably not be a good idea to tell her about the way he had dragged her into this world in hopes of watching her suffer for his own entertainment.
Alora took a sharp breath in as she closed her eyes and calmed herself down, "I have decided."
Leon tilted his head ever so slightly and blinked innocently as he heard this, "Huh...?"
Now that he was looking at her face this closely, he couldn't help but think that she had a really ugly face...
If Alora were to hear his thoughts, she would most probably burst out laughing and beat him to death since it would be the first time somebody would call her ugly, however, luckily enough, Alora did not have the ability to read minds and hence, the prince was safe for now.
Alora sharply opened her eyes and fiercely grabbed Leon's collar, pulling him forward with force as she spoke, "Let's get to know each other."
Leon felt as if his breath had been caught up in his throat and because of the sudden shock, he dare not close his eyes as he cluelessly stared back at Alora.
Their faces were just a few inches away and this was clearly a bit too close for them, but it seemed that, at the moment, neither of them minded it.
There were no feelings except for confusion and shock on Leon's part, while Alora only had one emotion evident in her eyes and that was fierce determination.
"Prince Leon, I'll make sure to etch my existence into your very being. So that you won't be able to forget me even if you want to," Alora spoke as her lips curled up in a small smirk.
Such a confident and bold statement...
Leon couldn't help but feel as if he was being challenged, but at the same time, he also felt as if that could just be his misunderstanding.
Alora suddenly smiled as she let go of his collar, "So let's get along well, okay?"
Leon coughed as he patted his clothes that had been rudely crunched up.
By the time he had composed himself, he looked at the girl only to see that her eyes had curled up into two crescents as she smiled brightly and held a hand stretched out forward for him to take.
Leon looked at the hand cluelessly, not knowing what he was supposed to do and an awkward minute of silence passed just like that.
It seemed that Alora was not a patient girl and when she saw no reaction from the prince, she grabbed his hands and shook it as she spoke, "This is a handshake. We usually do this when we want to get along with the other person."
Leon's face blushed bright red as he heard this and it was clear that he wanted to shout at the girl for treating him like an idiot, but Alora noticed nothing and the prince was so angry that he immediately passed out from anger.
"Eh...? P-Prince?" Alora's eyes widened as she looked down at the man who had suddenly dropped to the floor, "Demon prince? Are you okay?"
Alora blinked in confusion as she poked the man with her feet and tried to check whether he was still alive or not.
"It's time to leave," She heard a voice and when she turned to look, she found that it was one of the guards who refused to say anything to her before this.
"Wait. I think this dude over here is sick. He just passed out without any warning," Alora spoke as she tried to explain the situation but the guards pretended to be deaf as they once again ignored her words and chained her hands before dragging her out of the room.
"Wait!" Alora tried to struggle but it was of no use since the guards were clearly much stronger than her.
