"So now you even got yourself a job in hell?" Daren asked after listening to Alora narrating her newest continuation in the self-created series of 'tales from hell'.
"You still don't trust me, do you?" Alora looked at the boy with an unimpressed expression as she asked and Daren immediately shook his head as he denied this.
"Of course, I trust you," Daren re-assured with a small chuckle, "I do believe that you had such a dream but whether I believe that you really travel to hell in your sleep is an entirely different story."
Alora pouted unhappily as she heard this but she knew that she couldn't blame the boy too much since she would've also found it hard to believe if Daren was the one telling her such stories that sounded like utter fictional nonsense.
"And now you're telling me that there were three succubi who wanted you to work as a maid for the royal demon prince...? Do you really want me to believe that this story is anything but your over creative fictional imagination...?" Daren raised his eyebrows as he questioned.
"Look," Alora sighed as she spoke, "I know that this sounds ridiculous and I wouldn't have continued to tell you all this if I had someone else to talk to, but I need you to at least act as if you believe me and take this seriously."
"..." For some reason, Daren wasn't too amused to hear that he was the chosen one being told this story simply because he was the only option left...
"Okay, I'll take this seriously and play along for a while," Daren rolled his eyes with a sigh as he gave in.
Alora immediately smiled brightly as she heard this, "Great!"
"Why would they want to make you a maid? Didn't they make a deal with you for their own profit?" Daren got serious as he asked, or at least he tried his best to act serious.
Alora nodded her head as she responded, "That's right. They want to make me a maid for their own profit. However, it's not the kind of profit that you'd think it is."
"Eh...?" Daren tilted his head in confusion as he waited to hear the girl continue.
Alora took a sharp breath in as she spoke, "They want me to infiltrate the palace as a maid and kill the demon prince."
"..." To say that Daren was left stunned would certainly be an understatement.
A few minutes passed as the two simply looked at each other in disbelief and Daren was the first to break the silence as he asked, "And you... Agreed...?"
Alora smiled as she heard this question and nodded her head as she confirmed it, "They wouldn't have let me get away if I didn't agree."
Alora suddenly remembered back to the conversation that she had with those three crazy women and just the mere thought of it made a shiver run down her spine.

.
"You can't possibly be serious...?!" Alora leaned back as she felt a little horrified to hear what Mari had to say.
"Why would we not be serious?" Dorothy tilted her head with a chuckle as she asked.
Alora's eyebrows creased together as she anxiously asked, "But why...? Why would you want me to kill your prince??"
"Because you're the only one that can!~" Dorothy sang happily as she answered without even missing a beat.
Mari nodded her head as she agreed with Dorothy and spoke, "You already proved that you can free those vicious souls and that means there is a chance that you would also be able to beat the demon prince. We still do not know what type of demon you are but your blood is strange and different..."
Alora gulped as she heard this and almost felt as if she was going to be found out as a human.
"That's why you are perfect for this!" Beth suddenly exclaimed as she cut in between, "We also want to see what your weird blood can do~"
Alora felt a little speechless as she heard this and she asked, "What if I fail to do it?"
"Fail... You say?" Beth repeated and her face seemed to have dropped serious as she deadpanned, "You die, of course."
Alora gulped loudly and it was the only sound that could be audibly heard in the awkward silence.
"W-why do you want to kill him so much?" Alora stutter as she asked.
"He doesn't let us have any fun," Mari rolled her eyes with a sigh as she propped her chin in the palm of her hands.
"Eh?" Alora tilted her head in hesitation.
"We are demons that are supposed to have fun in the human realm but he keeps us trapped here!" Beth complained as she clicked her tongue, "He's the reason behind the curse!"
"What curse?" Alora asked as she suddenly felt interested to hear more.
"Hmm? You don't know about the curse?" Dorothy asked as she leaned in closer to Alora's face, feeling suspicious.
Alora gulped as she avoided eye contact and muttered, "Well, it's because I'm a... New demon...?"
"A new demon?" Dorothy repeated as her eyes widened slightly in realization, "Ah... So that's why we have never seen you before! You must be a new type of demon!"
Alora blinked in confusion as she heard this, "Excuse me...?"
"Of course!" Beth also clapped her hands as she exclaimed, "That must be why we haven't heard about you before this! It makes sense now!"
Alora didn't know what was happening nor was she aware of the misunderstanding that she had caused, but for some reason, she could feel that she was no longer in danger anymore and at least that was a sigh of relief for her.
"Well, in that case, let us tell you," Mari chuckled as she spoke, "The demons can't kill humans anymore."
Alora's eyes widened ever so slightly as she heard this and she didn't know if she was supposed to laugh or cry about this.
She had been fearing for her life till now but turns out that her life was never in danger, to begin with.
She felt ridiculous...
