"W-who in the hell are you?" Alora looked at the faces of these women and although they didn't look hideous or scary, she still felt her heart not being able to rest due to them scaring the life out of her.
One of the women smiled as she moved forward and grabbed a hold of Alora's wrist, "Your skin is so well-maintained! How do you do that?"
Alora flinched at the sudden reaction and immediately pulled her hand away as she asked again, "Who are you?"
She looked around the room which was rather dark with the only light source being a night lamp that was dim and seemed to be nearly going out. As she expected, she had no idea where she was.
"Who? Me? I'm Mary, nice to meet you. " The girl spoke up with a friendly smile and it made Alora feel uneasy.
Alora looked at the woman's pale skin that seemed to look a lot like a vampire's and then at her lips that seemed to have lost all their color and were simply painted red. It only took a glance for someone to be able to say that the woman didn't look like a normal human being at all.
She looked a lot like a vampire, but even vampires were supposed to have a cold beauty to them, weren't they? Rather than looking like a vampire, they simply looked dead... Like newly formed corpses that had makeup smeared badly onto their faces to hide away their rotting skin.
"I'm Beth. Nice to meet you, warrior! " The second woman spoke with her high-pitched voice.
"And I'm Dorothy!" The third woman smiled. Out of the three, she looked to be the youngest, "Pleasure to meet you."
Alora couldn't feel any evil intent from these women, but something in her gut told her that she was in deep trouble.
The woman who was sitting in front of her took a hold of her wrist once again and this time she pinched it as she looked at it in awe, "Such elastic skin! It even turns red and acts like real skin! Where did you buy it from?"
"Buy...?" Alora repeated in confusion as she looked at the woman.
She was completely clueless as to what was going on.
The woman named Beth also stepped closer as she pinched Alora's cheeks and looked to be surprised as she exclaimed, "This is so soft! Tell us your secret."
"..." Alora didn't know what these women wanted to hear, nor did she know where she was hence, she naturally had no idea what she was expected to do in a situation like this.
Mary looked at her lips and Alora felt even more weirded out.
"Even your lips look so alive!"
Alora immediately stood up and moved away as she looked at the three women with a bit of confusion laced along with her unwillingness to cooperate, "Are you perhaps asking for my morning skincare routine?"
Dorothy's eyes seemed to shine with enthusiasm as she asked, "Morning routine? Is that the secret? Give us some details on this thing, will you?"
"Sure," Alora felt as if she could use this situation to the best, "But you'll have to answer some of my questions as well."
"Questions?" Mary seemed to be equally excited as the other three women, "Don't worry, We'll give you answers. It'll be a fair trade."
"Then... You go first," Alora spoke as she sneakily looked around the room to find the entrance and anything that could be useful to her as a weapon.
Dorothy tilted her head as she asked, "What do you want to know?"
"Where am I? How did I get here?"
Mary, "We found you sleeping in the dark woods."
"Dark woods?"
"Yeah! We went there to collect some material, but you were moving so we thought you weren't dead yet and brought you back here."
Alora couldn't help but feel a shiver run down her spine as she asked, "What material?"
"Well, corpses of course. Fresh corpses can always be found there for free and although the skin isn't exactly the best, it can still be fixed and reused."
Just like Alora had expected, there was something oddly off about these women. Why did they seem more and more like... witches?
Beth, "Why else would we go to that damned place with our lives on the line?"
Alora gulped as she heard this and asked with much reluctance, "Just... Who are you guys?"
"Didn't we already tell you?" Dorothy asked, "This is Beth, that is Mary, and I'm Dorothy. Pleased to meet you, Miss pretty skin."
Alora nodded her head in understanding as she tried to act calm and composed, "Okay, next question. 'What' are you guys?"
The three women were silent as they simply stared at Alora with an expression that Alora couldn't decipher.
"We are a succubus."
"Succubus?"
Beth, "Low-ranked female demons. Aren't you one too?"
Alora almost answered with a no before she realized that it was probably not the right idea to tell them that she was a human.
It was clear that she wasn't on earth anymore. This was probably the netherworld Carmen talked about and in this world, her being a human was like throwing a piece of steak inside a cage filled with hungry wolves.
"I-I'm one...! I'm a demon too...?" Alora exclaimed but the answer was so unnatural to her that it almost sounded like a question.
Mary broke out laughing as she heard this, "Of course you are! Why are you so afraid of us, dear?"
'Cause you guys are demons!!! Why shouldn't I be afraid of you?!' Alora thought in her mind but it was only natural that she didn't say it out loud.
"Right!" Alora put on a fake smile as she looked at the three, "Well, thanks for all your help. My um... Demon parents might be waiting for me so... Bye-bye...?"
Alora didn't wait for the other three to say anything before her hands clutched around the doorknob and she got out of the room only to once again enter the room...???
She looked in front of her where there were three women staring directly at her and she turned her head back to look at the same three women staring right back at her.
Alora suddenly broke out laughing as she spoke, "I get what is going on! This ain't a dream, is it?" Alora sighed, "This is a nightmare, right?"
She looked up at the smiling faces of the three demons who didn't seem to have much warmth on their faces as they looked at her coldly as if she were nothing more than dead turkey and these three were wolves waiting to make a meal out of her.
Alora took a deep breath in as she smiled at them and immediately sprinted to the other room before opening the door in hopes of escaping, however, how could that be so easy?
Beyond the second room was another room that looked to be identical to the previous two rooms and the three demons were unnervingly present in that room as well.
"Damn..." She cursed under her breath as she ran through the other room and once again entered an identical room.
Alora seemed to be stuck in a loop and there was nothing she could do about it.
Mary stood up and walked closer to Alora as she spoke with a soft chuckle, "I think you should calm down, honey."
"Stay away from me!" Alora screamed as she made a run for it, but once again she entered the same room.
This was going nowhere.
Alora felt panic rise up in her heart as she opened the door and this time, she couldn't even make a run for it since Dorothy was blocking the door.
"Where are you going, pretty skin?" Dorothy tilted her head with a smile as she asked.
Alora stepped back in fear as she looked at the oddly pale, ghastly face of the other. Behind Dorothy were Mary and Beth, all three, moving closer and closer towards Alora.
"Damn it!" Alora cursed as she decided to turn her head and run back, but blocking the way behind her were the same three people looking at her as if she were their prey.
Alora chuckled awkwardly as she saw this before the smile was wiped out of her face and she turned serious.
"Don't blame me for not being nice," Alora grabbed the nearest object she could find which was kept at the table beside the door, and slammed it into Dorothy's head.
"Ow...!" Dorothy touched her head where she had been injured and looked back at Alora however, this time, Dorothy was no longer smiling.
