There were many carriages going in the direction to the north of the kingdom of Arin. Most of the military camps had released most of their soldiers to enter the battle of the Dralia Mountain Range.
Only certain military camps kept their troops on standby, incase the kingdom would suffer an opportunist invasion from some of the kingdoms around the north.
It was not only the people from Arin Kingdom who were joining the battle of the Dralia Mountain Range. The Rawyth Kingdom was having its forces entering the mountain range from the north.
The Rawyth Kingdom had suffered less casualties when compared to Arin in the final moments of the battle against the trump card battalion of Ruhen.
The commander of Rawyth's forces, Major Albert Thomson, had ordered a general retreat when they could not find a way to deal with the special battalion without suffering heavy casualties like how it happen to Arin.
Later when the battle ended, it looked like his decision was correct and he had saved his people from having pointless deaths. Now that Arin had shared the method to deal with the trump card battalion of Ruhen, Major Albert Thomson had nothing to worry about.
His Majesty Dietrich Benjamin Rawyth had even requested him to come to the palace and told him the importance of this battle, he could not afford to lose again.
Grey was looking outside his carriage, he had gotten his excited emotions under control. Grey was looking at the large convoy of people and carriages moving together.
They were currently on the main road going to the north, the road was the chosen road by the military to use to get to the north thus it was packed by all manner of military personnel.
The view of hundreds of carriages moving in a huge convoy inspired awe when looking at, it was not only him who was feeling awe when looking at the convoy. The other recruits were also feeling the same, however the Noble recruits, Alice and Grant, were trying to look uninterested, things to be expected from Nobles.
Though no one commented that they were failing to completely keep their awed expression under control, if it was normal humans or a tier 0 mages who were observing Grant and Alice they would have not noticed anything, because their awareness is less when compared to Alice and Grant.
However their teammates were tier 1 and tier 2 mages and they had similar or higher awareness as them.
"Lt Elrod why are those carriages leaving the main road and going to different directions."
Sheryl asked as she saw some carriages were leaving the main road and going to side roads.
As Sheryl asked her question, Grey and the military academy recruits glanced at her weirdly.
"Oh… Those? They are going to different Forward Operating Bases, we too are going to one."
Percival answered with an amicable face and pretended not to see the weird looks of the military academy recruits.
"As you have learned from the report that you were given, Ruhen has put three defence lines around the magic crystal lode, our forces will be divided amongst these FOBs."
"Ah… I understand, so we will attack different points of these defence lines at the same time from these FOBs."
Sheryl commented before Percival could finish explaining, which made him internally sigh.
Sheryl just wanted to talk to Percival, even though she was aware of this information she could not help but want to ask him again to get a chance to talk to him.
Percival was a popular choice of male amongst the female population in Camp Herolds and Sheryl who was in his team wanted to use this advantage as much as possible to appeal to him.
The fact that she knew that Percival had a good personality and would not get angry at her for asking something she was aware of, made her bold.
Whilst the military academy recruits had a weird looks as they felt she was just weird, Alice had a look of jealousy which she thought she had hidden from the other people in the carriage.
Grey like the other people did not comment on Percival's popularity, when you might die in a war, there is hardly time to think about a relationship. Time could be better be spent on preparing yourself and learning new spells.
As a Noble female how could she try and pursue a male, she would rather be pursued, thus her jealousy for Sheryl who did not feel like her. The reason why these girls are behaving this way is because they lost the tension they had when they had their first team spar in Camp Herolds.
The civilian recruits were no longer too stressed because the proceeding spars did not have the fear and terror they had faced in their first team spar allowing them to relax.
It did not take long for their carriage to also leave the main road and join a sub road that was made through a deep forest. Forests were normal as closer to the Dralia Mountain Range. They travelled inside the forest with other carriages going to the same FOB as them for a few hours.
That was until they reach a large camp deep in the forest, they could now be considered to be in the mountain range, because from where they were standing they could see the grand mountain range as it stretched from east to west.
"Mage teams report to the main command tent!"
"Regular attack troops report to the quartermaster!"
"Siege troops report to the quartermaster!"
"Mage teams…"
There were many people in the camp shouting different things giving directions to the newly arrived people in the camp, there was an ordered chaos in the FOB. That was not only source of ordered chaos in the camp.
The whole camp was still going under construction because it was possible to see people cutting trees to increase the size of the camp.
'The commander of this FOB is very experienced, even though it looks like there is no way this place should be able to function with this apparent chaos. But the exact opposite thing is happening, the place is working very well.'
Grey thought to himself as he marveled at organisation of the camp.
"Lieutenant! Welcome to FOB number 03. I am 2nd Lt Julian Vik."
As team 11 were entering the camp, Percival was stopped by a male who looked to be his 20s. The male had black hair and hazel coloured eyes, his posture was straight as to be expected with military people. The male had an average face, though there was a look of experience on his face.
"I am 1st Lt Percival Elrod, leading team 11 from Camp Herolds."
"Lieutenant I would like to lead you to the main command centre to receive your orders. Your second in command can take the rest of your team to make camp in the east side of this FOB."
Percival was experienced and understood what was going on, it looked like they were not going to spend a long time to rest. It looked Like Arin wanted to start the destruction of the defence lines as soon as possible.
Percival turned to June and telling her what was to happen next.
"Lead the way lieutenant."
Percival said to Julian, June took the rest of the team to look for a place to set camp.
