"We are about to leave towards Edward's Crevasse to reclaim what belongs to our great Arin Kingdom."
Captain Hector Barlowe started his speech with his neutral voice. The man had an oppressive aura surrounding him, the Captain had not joined the battle initially but he had experience in war thus he subconsciously released a war aura.
"The magic crystal lode had been stolen from us by those evils from Ruhen. But we will no longer tolerate having them bleed the crystal lode anymore."
The Captain paused for a moment to capture his breath with his voice still being neutral.
"We are soldiers from Herolds Camp and we are proud of that. As soldiers of our Arin will do our duty to serve the country and retake the crystal lode."
His neutral voice had lost some of its neutrality. It was possible to see the pride he had as soldier of Herolds Camp, the new recruits might have been in this place for a week, but not him. This place had been his home for a long time, and he would bring glory for Herolds Camp.
The 200 mages who were standing in front of Captain Hector Barlowe felt his pride as it mixed with his aggressive aura that could only found from someone who had been to war.
Captain Hector Barlowe was giving a speech to his subordinates who were about to go towards to battle in Edward's Crevasse, it annoyed him that most of them had not even been in a live battle.
They were his subordinates, even the civilian recruits, he always thought on how many of these civilians would survive.
Captain Hector Barlowe might have a neutral voice, but together with his glint and the oppressive aura around him it was possible to see that he was ready for war.
"The Camps closer to the Dralia Mountain Range have already started to get closer to the defence lines that Ruhen has put up. Today we too set off to do our duty for this Kingdom."
'Captain Barlowe is a very strong, the mana around him is very powerful. The Earth elements naturally gravitate towards him when he releases him mana.'
Grey was thinking about the mana around the Captain as he stood amongst his team. Grey was standing behind 2nd Lt June Marion who was standing behind 1st Lt Percival Elrod. The 20 teams were all standing in rows with their lieutenants in front.
The order of the way the people were put in the rows seemed to suggest who was the most strong or the one who had command.
As shown as all the teams had their 1st Lt in the front with the 2nd Lt coming next and the most strong recruit or a recruit with high talent in command coming after the 2nd Lt in the row.
In the case of Grey, he was the most strong and also the most talented in terms of command. When compared to the other recruits in his team, Bon had a lot of talent in mage combat but not command.
Bon had the ability to fight Grey to a stand still when, this happened because Grey was still keeping many of his trump card moves. However when it comes to strategy and tactics Grey was better than Bon.
As shown during their time in the academy, the only one who could destroy Grey in strategy and tactics was Joshua Kellen.
Sharon and Ilse could barely survive against Grey when they worked as a team. They had good team work which involved one of them using control type spells and the other using defensive or offensive spells.
In terms of strategy and tactics, Sharon and Ilse knew a lot because they were taught in the academy, but they could not beat Grey.
The only thing that the rows of the 20 teams was that the 4 civilians were at the rear, they could not breach the experience of the military academy recruits in one week. This week was done to foster some modicum of team work and give them experience to prevent their early deaths.
The civilian recruits just did not have enough experience to help them survive Grey's powerful onslaught, especially when the he is double casting, this had been shown in their training and sparing sessions that they did.
As 1st Lt Percival Elrod had said that the teams would be reshuffled many times in other to allow the civilian recruits to better understanding of war and gain some experience such that they did not die immediately after reaching the front line.
The team members had been moved around but that did not change the animosity the civilian recruits felt towards the military academy recruits, it only increased.
Ross Nordeck hated Sharon and Ilse for cutting him up with [Triple Vacuum Cleaver] and Sheryl and Alice really hated Grey who burnt them with his laser type spells and completely disregarded that they were females. This was more so for Alice who had some of her face burnt.
Even when they were back to normal and healed up, the animosity they felt towards him was higher than what Ross felt towards Sharon and Ilse, the fellow always got lost in Sharon's beauty which allowed his animosity to reduce.
Grey totally ignored their animosity, the same could be said about Sharon and Ilse as they felt what they did was normal. Because of those factors Grey was the third person in the row, it also symbolised that he was third in line in the command chain, to the chagrin of the civilian recruits.
The only one who were not involved in this animosity was Bon, Bon was not hated because he did hurt anyone during the spar. Though it was mostly because the civilian recruits felt that he could get them the revenge that they wanted.
It had been shown when Bon and Grey were on two different sides of the teams during a spar, Bon had shown some of ability to fight Grey.
Those thought had made Bon had a nervous chuckle because as much as he shown he had the ability to fight Grey, the endeavor was an uphill battle.
It was only his quicker cast time and his high battle intuition that made him to keep up with Grey's overwhelming ability due to his ability to double cast. The fact that Grey's spells were many and very powerful scared him, he was always thankful that Grey was on their side.
If Grey had a similar battle talent to himself, their fights might not end in draws, he would completely lose, Bon was sure of it.
What Bon did not know was that Grey was hiding his trump cards, he had not even used [Ultrasonic Burst] during their spars, if he knew he might just despair.
"I know you have just joined this Camp, but I already consider you all my comrades and I hope you will look after my back in the chaotic land we are going to. Try to also protect yourself and your team members."
Captain Hector Barlowe said with a slightly less neutral voice, there was some emotion in his voice.
"Set off!"
The Captain left the stage, under the salutation of all the mages, though the civilian recruits were clearly not used to saluting. The view was awe inspiring, these powerful mages saluting their commanding officer.
"Team 11, let's set off."
1st Lt Percival Elrod ordered his team towards the carriages. It was not only the Mage Army that was setting off, there were many of the regular troops also leaving Camp Herolds.
'I wonder how many of them will survive. In this world, regular humans can only fight other humans, but against mages they are in for the slaughter.'
Grey thought as he looked outside from the carriage that was caring team 11, which was the name that his team received. Grey's face was very serious, he knew that this endeavor would be very dangerous, but that did not prevent the light in Grey's eyes.
'I am excited, I guess it had been my fantasy to join a magic war even though my disposition is of the stable type. I guess I am still an Otaku at heart. I always like battle and war games in my previous life.'
Grey internally sighed about this situation.
'The System clearly really knew me better than I knew myself.'
