Chapter 7 - The Start of the Party

The long night passed as Silver was resting soundly. Though sleep was soon interrupted as he could hear the sound of his mothers voice. He opened his eyes to the sight of his mothers face, gently shaking his body to wake him up. "Wake up Silver, we got to get ready for your party!"

Silver lazily got up as his eyes watered at the sight of his mother. He knew he had one in this life, he even spent the last four years with her. Yet, after gaining the 14 years worth of memories from his past life, where he had no such thing as a mother , it felt surreal. He reached his hand out to touch her just to make sure it wasn't a dream.

Gwen grabbed his hands and held them tightly. "What's wrong Silver?"

Silver shook his head and wiped his tears on his shoulders "Nothing, everything's great momma. You said we needed to get ready for the party right? Then let's go!" he beamed. He stood up holding his mothers hand and followed her into another room.

As they entered a room not far from his own one of the maids shut the door behind them. The room was shaped like a circle with mirrors all around on the walls. With a small elevated platform in the middle.

Right in front of the platform there was a rack with different suits and dresses on them. Presumably most of them were what the other family members would wear to the party.Gwen grabbed a small suit off the rack, and handed it over to Silver "Put this on Silver!" she bubbled.

Silver quickly stripped down and replaced the clothes he was previously wearing with the suit. He wanted to get redressed quickly because he was embarrassed. She was his mother but it didn't change how he felt about it. After getting dressed he looked at himself in the mirror and was quite taken aback by his look.

It was completely different from what he was used to seeing himself as, a starved little boy who could barely survive. The person that stared back at him in the mirror seemed like a completely different person to him.

He had a white collared undershirt with a dark gray suit and similarly colored pants. He even had a black tie on, which was a first for him, and black dress shoes. His silver hair, intentionally messy, seemed to glow in the shimmering light like a chandelier.

Gwen clapped her hands as she saw her son "Look at my handsome little boy! You'll be sure to impress everyone at the party!"

Silver blushed at the high praises he got as he carefully got down from the platform and was escorted out of the room by his mother. The party wouldn't start for about another hour so he walked around the house alone trying to pass the time. 'I know I've lived here for four years but how come I never noticed how big my house was? This is like a mansion!" he thought as he entered a new room, filled with bright lights and greenery everywhere.'We have an indoor garden?!'

Silver lost track of the time as he kept exploring the never ending rooms, most of which he's never even been to before. Then he heard a maid call out his name. "Young master Silver!" she shouted out as she hurriedly tried to catch up to him. Silver turned back towards her and stood there to allow the maid to catch up. "Young master, the party is about to begin, please follow me back to the dining hall."

Silver nodded his head as he followed her closely back to the dining hall. As he entered he saw some guests 'Are they early? The party hasn't even started yet right? What are they doing here?'

Silver awkwardly walked up to his dad who was talking to one of the guests. It was an older man, one with wrinkles and a graying beard. He held a cane in his right hand yet he stood up taller than anybody else in the room.

"Why if it isn't the birthday boy!" the man gave out a hearty laugh as Silver approached.

"Hello sir, thank you for coming to my birthday party." Silver awkwardly greeted him.

"Hahaha, my pleasure young man. I was just talking to your dad about possible future enrollment into my school. I do hope such a bright young man will attend our prestigious school." The man praised Silver

"Now now Aldren, I said it's something we'll think about in the future. No need to put such pressure on a young boy just yet." Perthan interjected, cutting their conversation short.

Silver begrudgingly nodded his head as he moved on to other guests. 'I'm only four and people are already trying to recruit me into prestigious schools? Just what is my family?" he was lost in thought as he half heartedly greeted the other guests.

Slowly more and more people joined the party, some even brought their kids along. Silver noticed that most of the children seemed older than him and would gather together as they greeted each other. However, one kid in particular caught his eye, he was around his age and had red hair with a slouching posture. He didn't seem to greet anyone and nobody would approach him, it's like he had a sort of menacing aura to him.

Silver approached the red haired kid "Hello, I'm Silver, who are you?"
