Silver laid in bed next to a sleeping Kai "I envy how easily he can fall asleep" he muttered "It's been so hard for me to get any since they left…" Silver carefully got up, so as to not wake up Kai and slowly started pacing around the room.
"It's only been four days since you've been gone, hasn't it mommy and daddy? It's felt like forever already" he softly muttered to himself. "I was always alone in my last life so I never really understood what it was like to lose a parent. Was I reborn just to be hurt again?" He looked over to the sleeping Kai with a soft gaze "Will I lose you too, Kai?"
Silver sat down on a hard wooden chair with a heavy sigh, not taking his gaze off Kai for a single moment. "I wonder if I left, would you be safe from the curse I seem to be burdened with..?"
"I'm sorry Kai but I don't think I have the heart to leave you. It may be greedy of me but I can't help it" he said as tears slowly fell down his face. He continued to sit in the chair until he slowly calmed down.
"Kai… If we ever get separated just know I'll always love you no matter what, and I'll do anything I can to reunite us" he softly said. "It doesn't matter who gets in my way… the gods themselves would regret such a thing" as said, his tears slowly faded as his gentle look became sharp.
After nearly an hour of sitting watching his baby brother, his vision started to blur until it was all black.

In a separate room of the castle, there were 10 men sitting at a circular table. "This is unethical! How could you even think about separating them! Especially at such a young age and so soon after their parents die!" one man bursted out as he erupted from his seat.
"Please relax Mr. Satoru, it's not like we'll be leaving Silver out to die. All we're doing is sending him to a seperate city" one of the men replied to Satoru.
"How does that make it any better!" Satoru lashed back at the man.
"It's for the best of both of the boys, not only will it allow them to strive without each other, they won't be distracted either. Our country is in desperate need of a young prodigy like Kai, and someone like him only comes around once in a lifetime, maybe even less! What would we do if he got distracted or corrupted by his talentless brother!"
"Just because young Silver has zero talent does not mean he'll corrupt Kai!" Satoru replied.
"Silver may not become corrupt because of his talentlessness but what would happen if the Spectral Six were to capture him or influence him in any way. If they were to influence Silver, who knows what could happen" the man shot back at Satoru.
"Tch! do whatever you want but I don't want to be involved in any way, this leaves a bad taste in my mouth" Satoru said as he walked out of the meeting.

Silver gently opened his eyes, upon waking up he saw Kai sitting on the ground playing with some wooden blocks and some other wooden toys. 'Since when were there toys in here? Did the guards bring them for Kai or something?' he thought to himself as he got off the chair.
He sat down next to Kai and asked "What you got there Kai?"
"Bwocks" Kai simply responded, not taking his focus off the toys for a second.
Silver grabbed some of the blocks and started playing with Kai. Silver spelt out LOVE with the toys "Hey Kai, do you know what this word is?" he asked with a smile, knowing he couldn't read.
Kai looked away from his block tower as he saw the word and shook his head.
"Well it says love, love is a special feeling two people have when they care for each other very much" Silver said "Just like you and me Kai."
"Lobe?" Kai asked "I lobe brother"
"Hehe yes Kai, I love you too…"
