Two years went by swiftly for Silver and his family. Silver was sitting on the common room floor playing with his toys, he had rattles and figures scattered all around him.
His mother sat nearby on the couch, reading a book while he played. Suddenly, little Silver's face popped up in front of her book. "M-mommy, wha-when will the baby come?" He asked while looking at her swollen stomach.
She giggled at the young boy who looked like he had a glint in his eye. "He'll be here soon Silver. Have some patience little guy" She responded with a wide grin on her face.
"Is daddy gonna be here?" He asked, trying his best not to stumble over his words.
"Haha yes yes, He'll be here just in time for it sweetie. Now go back and play with your toys." She replied to the child. Patting Silvers head before he could leave
"Mmm" the child happily wobbled back to his toys and started playing with them.

The days passed by before Silver's father came back home. As he entered through the door Silver Immediately stood up and ran to his father and grappled onto his legs. "Daddyy!!" A squeal escaped from Silver's mouth while he stuck onto his father's leg.
"Hahaha Silver my boy! Look how tall you've gotten! my goodness." He eagerly exclaimed. He reached down to the kid that was latched onto his legs and patted his head.
The woman who was sitting on the couch slowly got up with a stiff smile on her face. "Welcome back Perthan."
"It's been a while since I've heard you call me by that name Gwen… I didn't do anything wrong did I." His smile slowly faded from his face.
"Of course you did something wrong!" Her stiff smile slowly widened. "Our second kid is about to arrive!! What would you have done if you were late to our own kids' birth!" She bursted out with a worried look on her face
"But I'm here now aren't I! I would never be late for something so important! I made sure to be there for Silver too didn't I." He replied to Gwen trying to ease her down from her bad mood.
Her eyes rolled as he responded. Her expression slowly changed to a slight frown and she walked up and hugged him. "You better mean what you say."
"Of course I mean what I say, I'd do anything for you Gwen." He smiled as he consoled his wife "I don't know what I'd do without you…"
After they finished their long embrace, with Silver in the middle of it unintentionally. Perthan picked up Silver and put him on his shoulders. "Oh buddy it's been so long since I've seen you! Have you been taking care of your mom like I asked?"
"Mmm!" Silver murmured enthusiastically. Silver flexed as to show off his nonexistent muscles.
"Haha that's my man!" Perthan responded, mimicking Silver's action to show off his own muscles. Soon he walked over to where Silver's toys were sprawled all over the floor. "Oh man look at all these new toys you got! I'm afraid I don't know how they work, can you show your old man how to play with them?"
Silver walked over and plopped down on the ground next to his dad. Without verbally responding to his dad he played with them, to try and show his dad how to play with the new toys he has gotten.
Gwen smiled from afar as he watched them play together, slowly walking back over to the couch to sit down and watch the two most important people in her life have fun.

Inside the house screams could be heard from outside Gwen and Parthen's room. Silver wasn't allowed in and was told not to worry but he couldn't help himself. He tried to get in but the door knob was too high for him to reach. He tried banging on the door as well but there was no response.
An hour passed by like this with few breaks in between. Shortly after the hour passed, the screaming came to a halt, and Silver's dad walked out of their room and brought Silver in. "Silver, we have someone to introduce you to" He said with a beaming smile. He took Silver's little hand and escorted him into their room.
Parthen picked up Silver and gently stood him onto the bed next to his weary looking mother. She held a little boy in her arms with a gentle smile on her face. Her smile seemed soft, like she couldn't muster up any more strength to smile wider. Quietly she looked up to him with her gentle smile and lightly closed her eyes. "You have a new brother Silver… His name is Kai."
"K-Kai??…" young Silver said observing the little boy. He had dusky hair and Silver eyes with gentle facial features. Silver didn't know what to say, he didn't know the correct words to show his emotions, he didn't even know exactly how he felt. It was an emotion he never felt before. All Silver could manage was to stand there and stare at the newest addition to the family with awe.
