The power scaling for the demonic beast is a little bit complex since some demonic beast was stronger than devils, even from birth. Added to the fact that some of them could even be elemental beasts and combined with their racial traits, they were a nightmare to devils who weren't born with chances of awakening their magic veins.
Every rank from the mortal rank and above was split into 8 tiers, considering that each individual would be required to connect various parts of their magic veins to fuse them with their mana heart with each tier they advance into.
The magic veins are each connected throughout the body, numbering about a minimum of 500 which is considered the lowest amount a mortal could possess if they dreamed of becoming an ascendant, with each blocking the amount of mana that flows into the body and restricting the amount of mana that can be used.
And only by strengthening them, can one advance in rank, thereby increasing the amount of mana they could store in their mana core.
Deciding to lay back down on the tree until he was fully prepared to find a way out of here, Elijah chose to study the 'Broken mrtyu magicraft, as it was one of the only things currently that would help him get out of this situation. He closed his eyes as he continued going through the godly technique seemly looking for a way to help his current situation.
The magicraft was already well detailed, the only remaining difficulty was for Elijah to fully comprehend it. After several minutes, Elijah finally understood the main function of the 'Broken mrtyu magicraft'.
And although it had its restrictions, Elijah chose this magicraft among the other godly magicrafts he found in the golden book because it gave him the chance to possess an elemental affinity. Of course they were other magicrafts that allowed him to gain an elemental affinity, but this was one of the only ones he could find in a short amount of time and it was trimmed specifically for humans himself. Elijah laid his back at the tree as he was still recovering from the mental stress he had accumulated.
Choosing to try again later when he's no more in a hurry to protect his life, Elijah decided to focus on the Broken mrthyu magicraft as the golden book wasn't running away.
''Dividing fang -a technique that concentrates huge amounts of Yin energy opening the magic veins at the tips of the users' hands, compressing the mana on both sides and dealing powerful strikes that can easily cut through any target. It can also be used with weapons, according to the user's choice.
'Formless palms- a technique that focuses on transforming the hands of the user into a deadly weapon. 'By our hands we sow, and by our hands, we shall reap'.
'By our hands, we forge weapons and by our hands, we strike with those weapons. We wield the most powerful weapons that can give lives or take them away, yet we failed to utilize its potentials…"
Although its description was vague, Elijah could notice some strange drawings that looked like a person moving his hands in a fluid motion, each move he made simple yet indifferent.
Quickly memorizing the contexts of the techniques, Elijah started with the formless palms technique which looked like a combination of various kinds of hand movements combined with limited step movement. Although he knew they were just movements needed to practice the technique, he still found them weird.
The Dividing fang was the technique Elijah currently needed because it could deliver a great deal of attack on the target, but its only disadvantage was that it also puts an enormous amount of strain on the user, that's if he couldn't get past the primary stage.
Seeing he couldn't go the easy road and practice all three magicrafts at once, Elijah chooses to practice the broken mrtyu magicraft first, moving one step at a time.
Although he was still fixated on the 'Ungodly titan magicraft', and the 'Timeless elusion magicraft'. But the more Elijah explored his supposed gift from Deltrich, the more he came to an understanding that he didn't only manage to assimilate the magicraft which were from Deltrich memories but also his understandings of them which was a far greater help for him now. With this grasping them would be a lot easier with little practice.
"Sigh…"
Rereading the contents of the broken mrtyu magicraft over again, Elijah sighed as he contemplated whether he should just wander around the forest and let the demonic beasts tear his corpse apart, but he soon quickly decided against that as the idea only lasted for an instant.
The method for practising the Formless palms technique was so brutal, that even if Elijah died, accepting his fate, none would blame him for his actions, as the Broken mrtyu magicraft stated that practising it would need its user to willingly shatter every bone in their arms. However, that wasn't all, as destroying the bones would also require the user to consciously stay awake as they manually rearrange back the bones, while also reconstructing his magic veins according to the methods provided by the broken mrtyu magicraft.
It was just like how the hands and claws of a tiger were meant for hunting, or how the talons of an eagle were sharp claws as dangerous as that of a lion.
That was how the Formless palms worked, as it reconstructs your bones while rearranging one's magic veins to fit its requirements. It was already a very lethal technique as it turns one's hands into a deadly weapon.
Elijah knew he was going to experience pain he never knew existed, and like every other normal human being, he almost back out due to reflex.
Standing up from his sitting position, Elijah looked around supposedly looking for a rock he could use to smash his hands, though he laughed as he didn't even know whether to continue laughing or start crying as he purposely made a joke about crushing his arms deliberately with an already injured leg.
