Elijah had to move on to his second plan which was to set a trap, thereby sacrificing half of the flesh from his catch and wait for his prey to fall to their demise.
......
It's been four weeks since Elijah had stayed in the forest, furthermore, during this time, he had practised the combat technique of the Broken mrtyu magicraft, although Elijah had finally entered the 3rd mortal tier, he still couldn't bring out the full prowess of the Broken mrtyu magicraft.
But it was more than enough as the more Elijah advanced in tiers, the stronger he became.
Although he still didn't have enough time to learn the two remaining magicrafts, Elijah hoped that this was enough for now.
........
Several days later
A whistling sound could be heard travelling through the forest as Elijah's hands ripped through the air, breaking through barriers as it suddenly sliced through the leaves that fell on the earth like steeled blades, making an imperfect incision through it.
Trying once more as he temporarily opened the magic veins in his hands, Elijah yelled out once more as he was too engaged in his training. Raising his hands towards the sky and watched as it quickly came back down, Elijah watched as his hands broke through the surface of a rock, leaving a deep cut imprint on the rock it embedded itself on.
Looking at the mark his hands left on the rock, Elijah laced himself as a smile was plastered on his face, sitting down to replenish the mana that had been drained from his body.
Elijah had also studied and memorized the training technique of the Formless palms technique. He was first mesmerized as he looked like a small behemoth who destroyed everything in its way with every step he took, looking like an unstoppable force to be reckoned with, as each movement his hands made were like steeled blades yet each swing was filled with an imagination of raging currents.
Elijah had yet to master in both the formless palms and dividing fang because he was still having a problem keeping up with the number of veins that should be open and also having some difficulty channelling mana in subconsciously was another thing entirely. Even though he possessed Deltrich understands of the techniques, that doesn't mean he would get it all in one trial, as he had to go through some trials and errors trying not to fry his magic veins before he could completely grasp them both physically and subconsciously.
So Elijah continued practising the Formless palms technique as it was the only technique he had now that could be used in a confrontation with an enemy, making it a very indispensable technique at the moment.
Elijah already understood that though the training was more of a driving factor, it takes more than training to improve his techniques, as he also had to focus on further improving his tier after entering the 3rd tier mortal rank.
Aiming to further increase his rank, Elijah trained with every fibre of his body, eating, sleeping, and training again. Repeating this same process every single day, Elijah didn't stop until he was sure he could step out of this forest without getting badly injured.
Feeling his blood boiling through his face, as the sweat that drained his clothes poured through his body, but even that didn't seem to bother Elijah as he began training again and again, even though he had already learned the broken mrtyu magicraft to a certain degree.
Elijah had felt more relaxed than the weeks before as nothing had happened to him since the day he found shade under the tree. But he was still alerted as he knew the dangers of this forest, and the unexpected terrors it could release at any given moment. As Elijah kept on training, he didn't know when he would leave this forest, but he hoped that it would be sooner than he expected.
...…....
At the edge of the Galah forest, which was the entryway that led to the Deadly volcanic region, a group of five individuals could be seen making their way through the forest. This group was made up of four men and a single woman, which appeared to be a man who ought to have passed his age as wrinkles decorated his face, accompanied by two young men and a middle-aged man, and a woman who looked no older than twenty.
Each of these four individuals is adorned in a golden metal suit of armour that fully decorated their bodies, as a well-detailed image of a sabre-toothed beast decorated the back and front. But strangely, only the woman who looked alert as though an ambush could occur at any moment was dressed in leather amour, which seemed like it had seen better days, as they threatened to fall apart at any given moment.
The appearance of this group, although uncanny, were currently making their way through the forest, as they tread the path which led to one of the forbidden lands
Watch out!!
Liam who wearing a full-body suit of armour, but with two large pauldrons which made his shoulders seemed big, suddenly thrusts a slim sword as it pierced through the skin of a dire rat incapacitating it as it rammed through its heart.
''It seems that bringing you here was a mistake, if you don't know how to swing that blade of yours then you should better head back home''. Liam said to Cahira as he sheathed back his rapier while making his way towards the group, leaving her behind not even sparring a second glance.
This group were from the Golden steel clan whose symbol bore the face of a ferocious golden horned tooth, a beast that bore a similar resemblance to that of a sabertooth. The group had ventured into the forest looking for a rare plant called the 'Flamed orchid'. Even though the mission was one of difficulty filled with a lot of uncertainties, currently, it was the only thing that decided the fate of their clan.
They were a group put together by the clan head in this dire situation. They were the best the clan could offer, if they couldn't accomplish this task, then their clan may as well be doomed.
