Tree Diagram
"WHAT!?" exclaimed Master Hades angrilly. "Is this true!!?"
Hades was standing in the middle of the warehouse within which Hydra Head and Grimoire Heart had made their base of operations. He was currently being briefed on the situation by Aqualas.
"Unfortunately, it is indeed as I have said." said Aqualas. "Already, three of the currently active members of our assault team have been defeated. Night Reveler of my guild, plus Kain and Bluenote of yours. Accelerator and Gildarts remain a constant threat while it is my belief that the Railgun and Fairy Tail are becoming more aware of the situation by the hour."
"This is growing wearisome." said Hades shaking his head. "Bluenote was supposed to be one of my aces in the hole. And to think Gildarts and Accelerator managed to defeat him even after I granted him that speed pendant.....perhaps espers are more dangerous then I previously percieved. What is their current situation?"
"Both Night Reveler and Kain are seriously injured. Bluenote....he is dead, burned up in the atmosphere, I watched him as he was dealt the final blow." said Aqualas. "And after watching the one he was fighting....I feel our advantage may soon be pretty short lived."
"I wouldn't have expected any less." said Hades. "Accelerator has never been known for his mercy in a fight, more like his psychotic pleasure in massacreing his opponents, even if the rumors say that he has grown a slight sense of humanity within himself. As for the Railgun, she has grown stronger far too quickly, she must no longer be allowed to live."
"What of Touma Kamijou?" said Aqualas. "He has grown far too involved with this for my Master's liking."
"Ah yes." said Hades his expression darkening. "The one who wields Imagine Breaker. Black Whisper would definitely be worried about that particular boy. However, I see him as an asset."
"And why would that be?"
"The Railgun has become a collosal threat to this operation." said Hades. "However, there are ways to control even the greatest heroes. For all protagonists have a fatal flaw, and one flaw especially common to Mikoto Misaka's type, is that they can't help but try and play the hero when their loved ones are under threat. Call it personal loyalty, or call it love. Either way, it serves in our favor."
"So what do you wish for me to do?" said Aqualas. "Black Whisper's recovery is nearly complete, and Zancrow and Gore Beastwalker remain ready for battle. Rusty Rose has already completed his assignment."
"Keep all your attention on Kamijou and the girl who holds the grimoires." said Hades. "When I give you the word..."
Aqualas nodded. He then sunk like a phantom into a black puddle of water which turned clear the moment Aqualas had dissapeared.
Hades watched the ordinary water puddle for a moment before walking off to a dark corner of the warehouse. He took out a piece of chalk and drew a magic circle on the wall of the warehouse. He clasped his hands together and began chanting quietly and quickly until the circle glowed purple and formed into a mirror-like pool. An image of a dark hooded figure with the image of an eye sewed on the head of his hood.
"Have you found them yet?" Hades asked the hooded figure in the mirror.
"The ones known as Jellal and Meldy remain elusive." said the figure. "But they still fail to cover their trail from me. I will find them..."
"Hurry." said Hades. "The sooner the great Gate between worlds is opened, the sooner phase too can be achieved."
"I feel obligated to warn you Master Hades." said the mysterious figure. "Creating a permanent bridge between two universes bypasses all normal laws of time and space....there is no telling what kind of side effects could occur in both worlds."
"I'll cross that bridge when I get to it." said Hades. "No pun intended."2
"Very well then." said the figure. "I will continue with the mission at hand."
The mirror disolved along with the magic circle.
"Soon." murmured Hades to himself. "All the pieces are coming together..."
"Ouch!"
"Hold still Mikoto, this might sting a little more.."
Back at the dorm of Touma Kamijou, Mikoto was having her injuries healed by Wendy's Sky Dragon magic. Apparently the black eye hadn't been the only injury she had sustained in her fight against Kain. She had also recieved several bone fractures and 2 broken ribs.(Mikoto hadn't been in her Thunder Dragon mode when she was under the control of Mr. Cursey, so her durability was at an all time low).
"You're such a wimp." Said Shizuri Mugino as she sat on a cushion nearby and watched both Wendy and Mikoto. "I've sustained far more serious then that."
Mikoto almost gave an angry retort, but bit her tongue instead. Meltdowner had in fact once lost an arm and an eye before they were surgically replaced.
"Why did we have to bring her?" said Gajeel who was leaning on the refrigirator in the kitchen area. "All she's done is tell Mikoto how much of a weakling she is. And I haven't yet seen anything to prove her point."
"She was pretty injured too." said Wendy. "So Gray and Mikoto decided to bring her."
"And I'm starting to regret my compassion." said Mikoto gritting her teeth. "I should have just left her."
"You and me both know that you're too moral for that." said Shizuri.
"You've already been healed. "Growled Mikoto. "So don't you have some sort of mission to do with ITEM or somthing? Just scram already!"
"I'm not going anywhere." said Shizuri. "Number 1, because I want to see Kamijou. And number 2, I want to know how an esper actually learned to use magic without exploding into a bloody stain."
"Well, first of all, stay away from Touma." said Mikoto. "And second of all, how I can use magic is absolutely none of your beeswax!"
Natsu, Happy, and Lucy stood nearby, watching Railgun and Meltdowner argue.
"Something tells me those two have an unpleasant history." said Lucy.
"What was your first clue?" said Happy. "The bickering, or static coming out of Mikoto?"
"So she's supposed to be the 4th strongest esper, and Mikoto's 3rd strongest..." said Natsu scratching his head. "So why does this wierd girl keep saying she's stronger?"
"I'd say she seems rather bitter about the whole ranking system." said Lucy. "Mikoto once told me that the 7th strongest, that guy called Attack Crash, wasn't ranked that way because he was the weakest level 5, but rather because nobody fully understood what his power was. Maybe Meltdowner feels that she wasn't accurately ranked either."
"Ehh..." said Natsu. "Even if Mikoto was ranked lower, I still think she'd be stronger."
"Why's that?"
Natsu grinned. "Cause she's a member of Fairy Tail of course!
"As touching as that is, I still don't see the logic in that."
"I do!" said Happy cheerfully.
"Where's Gray anyways?" said Lucy. "Wasn't he here a second ago?"
"I think he's hiding from that." said Happy pointing at Juvia, who was currently running around the cramped dorm searching for her darling Gray.
"Gray!? Oh Gray!?" Juvia cried out frantically. "Were has has my darling Gray gone!?"
Touma was busy trying to stop Juvia from tearing apart his room. "H-hey! S-stop!! That's my bed!! And what the heck makes you think that Gray would be hiding in my instant ramen!!!??"
"Juvia MUST FIND HER GRAY!!!"
Mikoto walked over to Juvia and put a hand on her shoulder. "Hey Juvia, Gray will be back eventually, it's not like there's anywhere else for him to go."
Juvia sniffled. "But Juvia needs her Gray...."
"Yeesh, just calm down a bit okay." said Mikoto smiling.
"Why does she listen to you?" muttered Touma.
"I'm a girl, and I know her better." said Mikoto.
Suddenly, the door to the dorm opened and in walked Gray Fullbuster and Erza Scarlett walked in.
"Darling Gray!!!" Shouted Juvia with hearts in her eyes. Juvia ran at Gray and full body tackled him to the ground. "Oh Gray!!! Never leave me again!!!"
"H-hey!" shouted Gray. "Juvia, get off of me!!"
"Erza, you said you wouldn't be back until at least 2 hours from now." said Lucy.
"The situation changed." said Erza moving away from the door.
In walked Markorav and Laxus. Laxus had a large armored suitcase in his hand. On it was a number that was usually associated with a file number.
"Master?!" Mikoto exclaimed. " Where have you been? What's in the case?!"
"How I got it, is of no importance." said Markorav. "As for what's in here...this is the central system, for the super computer, Tree Diagram."
"Wait...WHAAAAATT!!?"
"What are you doing with something as huge as that!?" exclaimed Touma.
"We'll need it." said Markorav. "But first, we need to set it up....right here.....and quickly."
Infiltration
About several miles away from Touma's dorm, there was an underground facility where many top secret labs lurked. Originally the facilities had been meant to monitor something called AIM diffusion fields, something that espers tended to emit constantly at a subconscious level. But after a disaster simply known as the Level Upper incident, they had scrapped the experiments. Instead they decided to move on to more...secret...projects. The most recent of which involved the rebuilding of Tree Diagram.
Now, in a dark round room of the facility, there sat a multitude of scientists around a large round table. In the table's center sat a large armored case that looked almost exactly like the case Markorav had.
One scientist stood up. "Finally, as you can now see, the last piece we need to revive Tree Diagram has been obtained....." the scientist dragged the case over to him and typed a combination on the keypad lock. The case opened...and.....
"WHAT!!!!? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTT!!!!!!!??"
All scientists jumped in panic from the head scientist's sudden outburst.
The scientist took out the contents of the case and shakily held them out for the others to see. It was a stack of bikini issues from Fiore's Sorcerer Weekly. (Likely from Markorav's secret stash...)
"WHAT THE HECK IS THIS!!!!??"
The scientist sitting next to the head scientist grinned and pointed at one picture of Mirajane. "Hehehe....I like that one."
All the other scientists turned to look at him.
"What?.....too soon?"
Back in Touma's dorm, things were getting into a crazy of a different nature. Massive wires were everywhere on the floor and cieling. The wires were all connected to Touma's tv which had been moved to the center of the room. Mikoto and Markorav were sitting behind the TV connecting a strange device to the back of the tellivision.
"Give a few sparks there." said Markorav.
"Mikoto touched a finger to the spot Markorav indicated and shot of few electrical shocks into it.
"Ummm.. we are cleaning this up afterwords....right?" said Touma looking around the room. "Cause this is going to be kinda noticeable if anyone comes to visit."
"So....why are we setting up a major super computer in the middle of a student dorm?" asked Lucy.
"Before Tree Diagram was destroyed, it pretty much recorded everything that went on in the world." said Laxus. "You could probably call it the science side's eye in the sky."
"And we believe that there have been others from our world who have stepped in this one." said Markorav. "Purehito used to be Fairy Tail's guild master before me. So like me, he briefly walked upon this world when he was made guild master, and was shown Fairy Tail's darkness which lurked beneath the guild hall. It is my belief that when Purehito left Fairy Tail, he found a way to come to this world and kept it tom himself....if anything was aware of his actions, then Tree Diagram would definitely know about it. We'll be able to track and see everything Purehito has done since before Tree Diagram was destroyed."
"And figure out where he may be hiding!" finished Mikoto. "But isn't this a little....extreme?"
"Where Purehito is concerned." said Markorav. "Sometimes extreme is the best way to go."
The door opened and in walked Stiyl Magnus and Wendy.
"All the outdoor connections are set." said Stiyl. "One thing's for sure, this is going to really piss off Aleister."
"Alright." said Markorav. "Mikoto, I think it's time to turn this thing on."
Mikoto nodded and touched a hand to the TV. The screen turned on and thousands upon thousands of green ones and zeros ran across the surface until finally it turned blue and showed an image of a large tree. "Okay, I'm in. But I'm going to need to concentrate for this to work.....wait...darn it! This system's too complicated, I can't hack it!"
"But everyone's waiting outside!" said Lucy. "We can't just quit now!"
Earlier, Markorav had gathered everyone and given them each an earpiece that would be hooked to a radio reciever in the dorm. The plan had been to use Tree Diagram's system as a gps guide while everyone split up.
Mikoto thought quickly trying to think of a solution. Her esper powers had always allowed her to hack computers before, but never had she hacked Tree Diagram's central system before. Their must have been some sort of counter measures put in place to prevent espers from hacking through. That meant they would actually need somebody computer savvy...but who in the world did Mikoto know that could.....?
Mikoto suddenly stood up wide eyed. "I need to make a call!"
20 minutes later Uiharu Kazari was sitting in the room with her laptop connected to Touma's TV. "Uhh.. Mikoto? I know that we tend to do a lot of weird stuff....but can you please tell me how in the world Tree Diagram is in Touma's living room?"
"Sorry." said Mikoto. "I know I'm a little late explaining the whole thing, but it's really important that we hack into here, I promise I'll tell you everything later."
Uiharu looked at the scrolling texts on her laptop with amazement. "Well it's definitely not like anything I've ever broken into before.....but since it's just the central server and the firewalls aren't as varied as when the full thing is connected, I should be able to gain control in about....5.....4....3....2...1....And I'm in!"
"Uiharu you are a genius!" said Mikoto.
Lucy sighed with relief. "You know, for a moment there, I thought we were all going to blow up or something."
Uiharu turned to look at Mikoto. "Look, I know I might not fully understand the situation here.....but I get that if you guys don't do something.....something bad is going to happen.....right?"
"Yes." said Markorav. "The man we need to track is particularly dangerous."
"Then you can count on me!" said Uiharu with a determined expression on her face. "Go on everyone, I'll make sure that whoever this Purehito guy is, he won't hid from me! I should be able to hack into all the cameras from here, and by combining that with Tree Diagram's server, I'll be able to find this guy in about 2 hours tops!"
"Thanks Uiharu." said Mikoto. "I guess I should head out then."
"Wait!" said Lucy. "You almost forgot this!" Lucy gave Mikoto a high tech looking earpiece which Mikoto fit in her ear.
"Wish me luck!"
Mikoto and Lucy ran out onto Touma's balcony where Natsu and Happy sat waiting for them.
"Well somebody was waiting for us." said Lucy smiling.
"What can I say?" said Natsu. "It just isn't the same without you two!"
Happy flew onto Mikoto's head. "Yay! comfy!"
"Why do you like my hair so much?" said Mikoto raising an eyebrow.
"It's just so soft and comfy!" said Happy. "I can't help it!"
"So, are you guys ready for this?" said Mikoto.
"You kidding!?" said Natsu. "I'm all fired up!!"
Hades walked through a dark metal hallway, his boots echoed on the metalic floor. After 20 steps he came to a thick metal door that was rusted with age. Traces of claw marks could be seen on the door, as if something had once lived here....something most unpleasant.
Hades opened the door without a second thought. Inside the room was a multitude of glowing tanks with cold blue liquid. Wires hung from the cieling and broken computer equipment littered the floor. In the center of the room sat a dark hooded figure muttering to himself.
"Black Whisper." said Hades. "It is nearly time."
The hooded figure turned to look at Hades. "Has the Railgun....made her move....?"
"Not yet. But it is only a matter of time."
The figure huddled close to the floor. "Good....gooooooood........My vengeance shall be swift upon her head."
"I will warn you only once. "said Hades. "Don't let your hatred blind you from our goal....it will be your downfall."
"Rest assured." said Black Whisper. "I have not forgoten our true objective. However....there is no way I will let that girl avoid my wrath....her bloodied head shall rest at my feet....."
"I have already moved my associates into position." said Hades. "What will you do?"
"Tell Gore that he is free to fight as he wishes. Has Night Reveler recovered yet?"
"He is up and running."
"Then tell him to move out as well....I'm joining the fight."
"Are you sure you're strong enough to fight?"
"Don't kid with me...." Black Whisper removed his hood to reveal a 'face' completely comprised of swirling purplish portals which shifted to reveal multiple different locations at once. "The Hydra shall always stand ready to deal bloodshed."
The Beastwalker Cometh
Mikoto peeked behind the corner of a warehouse, checking to make sure that the coast was clear. She, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy had been trecking around this area for around 2 hours following the directions given to her by Uihara through the earpiece. So far, they had run into absolutely no trouble.
"Aw man!!" Groaned Natsu. "This is totally boring!! When are going to smash someone!?"
"I actually see it as a good thing that we're not fighting for our lives yet." Lucy muttered.
"Aye," said Happy curled up on Mikoto's head like a weird hat. "Then I would have to get off Mikoto's soft hair!"
"Just what about my hair do you find so comfortable?" said Mikoto. "It better not be because it smells like fish or somthing."
"That would be spectacular!!" said Happy, his eyes sparkling.
"Now you're being creepy."
"Hey Uihara. Are you sure this is the place?" asked Lucy.
Uihara's voice spoke out of the earpiece. "I think so...According to Tree Diagram, strange people have been sighted in this area for nearly a decade. Some of the sightings actually matched this Purehito guy's description."
"Well I don't see anything." said Mikoto. "But something smells weird....almost familiar."
"Yeah!" said Natsu. "I smell it too!"
"Smells?" said Lucy confused. "I don't smell anything except oil and rust."
"Aye." said Happy. "Same here."
"Then what am I smelling?" said Mikoto.
"It's your Dragon Slayer sense of smell." said Lucy. "Both you and Natsu can smell better then any of us, and if you both smell something familiar...and Natsu's never been here before....then that means the one you're smelling is...."
"BELLOW OF THE FIRE GOD!!!"
A massive tornado of black fire blasted down from the sky and blasted straight into the ground between Natsu, Mikoto, and Lucy. Mikoto saw nothing but black and white as the explosion caused her to go dizzy for a second. The next thing she knew, the entire world was spinning and finally came to a stop when she hit a dumpster nearby.
Mikoto climbed out of the dumpster clutching her head. "Ugh....Zancrow....of course."
Standing in the center of the crater he had created with his roar attack nearby, was none other then the Fire God Slayer himself grinning with a crazed look in his eyes. "HAHAHAHA!! What did you think of my entrance!? Rather EXPLOSIVE, if I do say so myself!"
"Boo!!" shouted Natsu who was climbing out of a pile of wrecked crates supporting an unconcsious Lucy. "That was just terrible!!"
"A-aye....."said Happy who was lying in the dumpster behind Mikoto looking absolutely out of it. "Worst pun ever...."
Zancrow spat at the ground and engulfed his fists in black flames. "Keh! Who cares what you idiots think!? My job was to rile up Miss Railgun over there and that's precisely what I'm going to do!!! So stay out of my way ya poor excuse for a Salamander!!!!"
"Rile me up?" said Mikoto confused. "I thought you were supposed to kill me!"
"Plans changed." said Zancrow with a demonic look on his face. "Honestly I wasn't sure about the plan at first...BUT I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU REALLY ON A RAMPAGE!!!"
"I have absolutely no idea what that means!" said Mikoto. "But if you wan't a rampage.....then I'll give it to you!!"
Mikoto concentrated and all the metal crates in the area rose into the air electromagnetically along with a mass of black iron sand. The twister of metal flew at Zancrow, who leapt out of the way as the metal mass colided with where he had been just a second before.
Using the Mikoto's attack as a distraction. Natsu set Lucy down and launched himself up behind Zancrow as he leapt back and engulfed his fists in flames.
"Wing Slash Of The Fire Dragon!!!!"
Zancrow was smashed into the ground by a large lashing flame from Natsu's hands. But Zancrow was never so easily brought down. He jumped back up and brought his hands out. "Supper Of The Fire God!!!"2
Just before the massive black flames could reach Natsu however, Mikoto jumped in the way and activated Thunder Dragon mode. The massive electrical wings burst out and closed around her like a protective shield agains the black flames, blocking Zancrow's attack.
Mikoto then opened her wings up and puffed up her cheeks as her mouth filled with electricity. "ROAR OF THE THUNDER DRAGON!!!!"
Zancrow dodged the blast of electricity laughing his head off. "YES! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, KEEP ON FIGHTING!!!! GET REALLY RILED UP!!!"
"Oh will ya just shut up already!!" shouted Natsu as he jumped over Mikoto and threw a massive fireball at Zancrow. "Brilliant Flame Of The Fire Dragon!!!!"
The massive fireball hit Zancrow and exploded with extreme force. However, the fire suddenly swirled around and was sucked into Zancrow's mouth like a vacuum.
"HAHAHAHA!!" laughed Zancrow. "You forgot Salamander!! I can eat your fire just as easily as any other flame!!"
"How about lightning!!?" shouted Mikoto engulfing her fists in intense electricity and launching herself at Zancrow. "Secret Art: CRASHING THUNDER!!!!"
Mikoto's entire body was engulfed in lightning and she smashed directly into Zancrow in a bursting shoulder tackle, causing Zancrow to fly into a nearby warehouse. The moment Zancrow hit the warehouse, the entire thing blew up in a massive explosion of electricity.
"Take a hike hair disaster." said Mikoto.
"Hahahahaha!!!" Natsu laughed in glee. "We showed that idiot!!! No one beats Fairy Tail!!!!"
"Are you quite finished?" A deep, low voice interrupted Natsu's merriment.
A massive figure lumbered onto the scene from behind a stack of crates. The man had to be around 16 feet tall, his muscles so massive and bulging, that one could have mistaken each bicep for a small mountain. The man's hair was a ragged mess that completely covered all of his face except for his mouth which was lined with rows of what appeared to be shark's teeth. He wore ragged pants and his torso bore nothing except the black three headed oriboris on his right pectoral
"I'll ask again..." said the man. "Are you finished?......cause if you are....then I'll start remembrance...."
Mikoto readied herself for another fight. "Who are you?.....And what do you want!?"
"Me.....?" The man tilted his head curiously. "It has been a while since someone asked my name...If you must know, I am Gore Beastwalker of Hydra Head......As for why I am here, I am here to begin a remembrance..."
"Remembrance?!" said Natsu. "Sounds stupid and complicated. Come on Mikoto! Let's beat this guy, he's obviously with the enemy!!"
"Aye Sir!! What Natsu said!!" said Happy who was still lying in the dumpster looking absolutely dizzy.
"A remembrance...." continued Gore Beastwalker as if nothing had interupted him. "Is a method of magic that allows me to reawaken the old nature of one's powers. Whether you had once an ability you couldn't understand...or if your body was in a different physical form....I am able to reawaken that within you body" (This is actually how Hydra Head was able to bring back Azuma of Grimoire Heart. By using remembrance on the Tenrou Tree on Tenrou island, Gore was able to reawaken Azuma's nature from when he wasn't fused to the tree.)
"And what are you trying to reawaken in us?" said Mikoto. "What's your game!?"
"Once...." said Gore. "one year ago, during what you of this world called the Daihaseisai.....a second level 6 shift experiment was attempted......"
"Eh!?" said Natsu. "Seriously!! Just how many level 6 experiments did this city have!? So who were they trying to boost this time?!"
"Me." growled Mikoto. "They used an electric virus to attempt a level 6 shift on me."
Natsu's eyes widened. "Wh-what!?"
"That is correct." said Gore. "And Master Black Whisper finds the state you were in during the experiment....to be most...interesting...."
Gore moved at lighting quick speed and suddenly grabbed Mikoto in his massive hand, her lightning wings seeming to have no effect on his nonconductive hide.
"Stop!!" shouted Mikoto. "You don't know what you're doing!!!"
"No..." said Beastwalker. "You are definitely right.....I don't know what I'm doing."
Before Natsu could react, Gore's eyes glowed with a black light and Mikoto cried out with pain as a mass of black electricity eminated from her and blasted outwards, blasting Gore and Natsu back.
Mikoto stood up, her face was completely blank now, her eyes were black, with just one pupil on her right eye round and white as the moon itself. Strange black tendrils came out of her bangs whipping around like lightning, strange polygon like patterns ran down certain areas of the tendrils. Mikoto walked around unfeeling and unknowing, her electric Dragon Born wings turned completely black and spread outwards, demolishing entire warehouses without remorse.
"The level 6 shift...has been reawakened....." said Gore Beastwalker.
Natsu just stared. "Wh-What the heck is this!?"
level 6 shifting Railgun...The Monster Revived
Natsu couldn't believe his eyes. He'd heard from Mikoto about the strange experiments that Black Whisper and Academy City attempted to create level 6 espers....but this was ridiculous.
Mikoto seemed to wander around aimlessly, her ghost-like blank stare not looking at or comprehending anything in it's sight, black lightning bolts shot out of her body at random intervals, destroying entire warehouses and creating gouges and craters in the ground. The strange black energy ribbons that flew from her bangs lashed out and sliced around like electricity while her now black Thunder Dragon wings began to erupt and change form.....as if Mikoto were slowly evolving.
"M-Mikoto!?" Natsu shouted. "Hey Mikoto!! What's going on!!!? Are you okay!!?"
"I wouldn't get her attention if I were you..." said Gore Beastwalker. "That will only encourage your death."
Mikoto turned her head to stare blankly at Natsu, the bright round white pupil seeming to pierce heaven and earth even more effectively then Oracion Seis's Hoteye. She continued to stare at Natsu for a moment with that unnerving stare, what she was thinking, or whether she was thinking at all.....no one could tell.
"Mikoto!!" shouted Natsu. "You've got to hear me!! Come on!!"
Mikoto pointed a finger at Natsu and a massive blast of black lightning soared at him and exploded with the force of twenty of Laxus's lightning bolts, causing Natsu to fly into the air like a rag doll and land with enough force to create a sickeningly large crater.
Electricity seemed to erupt out of Mikoto's pitch black left eye as she walked away from Natsu without much deliberation. The wings finally seemed to turn solid as the black lightning from which they were constructed flattened out into the shape of pitch black spiked wings with spines that jutted outwards with polygon shaped energy shooting out of the ends of the spikes. The wings shot out a multitude of diamond shaped energy rings out at the warehouses in Mikoto's way, demolishing a path for her as she continued her way to the main part of Academy City.
"Hmmm..." Said Gore. "I wonder if she will reach level 6 this time.....and I wonder if she will survive....."
Natsu got out of the crater coughing up rocks with his back smoking. "Wh-what do you mean if she survives!? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MIKOTO DANG IT!!!!!????"
"I merely reawakened the state she was in when the scientist Gensei Kihara loaded the electric virus into her through the MISAKA network. Right now, her powers are slowly increasing and evolving as until she reaches Level 6. Each esper is quite difference in the method they reach this next level. Accelerator was perhaps the easiest to control throughout his shift as he was able to keep his mind. Electromasters however.....are quite...unstable. Those wings are quite new though, I would imagine her Dragon Slayer powers are accelerating the shift."
"And what happens if she reaches level 6?" asked Natsu shakily. "ANSWER ME!!"
"Considering Accelerator was the only esper who was ever calculated to remain stable had he reached that phase....either she'll destroy the entire city....or more likely, she'll overload and die."
"YOU FREAKING BASTARD!!!" shouted Natsu as his entire body became engulfed in intense flames. "You change her back right now!!!!"
"I think not....." said Gore. "I only obey my master....and he wishes it to be this way."
Natsu screamed with rage and launched himself at Gore. "Sword Horn of The Fire Dragon!!!!!!"
Gore Beast walker held out his right hand and caught Natsu's head just as he shot forward like a meteor at Gore.
"Brute force has never worked on me...." said Gore as he raised Natsu up in his closed fist and brought his head smashing into the ground, creating a sonic boom that caused all the glass in the area to shatter. "Of Hydra Head's melee fighters....I am the strongest. You may have barely been able to survive against Night Reveler, but he was ranked 20th in strength among our number....I am ranked 18th."
Gore raise his giant fists and brought them smashing down on top of Natsu, creating a shockwave so large, that all the remaining warehouses that Mikoto hadn't destroyed instantly blew away, as if in a strong wind.
"I am superior."
Gore brought down another earth shaking punch.
"I am stronger."
Gore let out another punch.
"I am...."
Before Gore could let out another punch, a hand touched his side. Gore looked to his side with his fists still raised in preparation to piledrive Natsu. The hand belonged to none other then Accelerator.
"You.....are dead." spat Accelerator spitefully.5
Gore Beastwalker shot away like a supersonic bullet from Accelerator's vector control, smashing into the ground around 40 meters away.
Accelerator walked over to Natsu's unmoving form and nudged him with his foot. "Hey.....pink hair.....get up."
Natsu slowly got up from the hole in the ground that was shaped like his body. Groaning from the multiple bruises he had obtained. "Eh...who are you?"
"What my name is doesn't matter." spat Accelerator. "What really matters is that your friend is going around ripping up the entire city....and if someone doesn't stop it soon, everything is going to fall apart, and likely ol' Railgun will be blowing up in a fireworks display to outlast even the end of the Daihaseisai Festival."
"N-Natsu." cried Happy weakly, crawling out of the dumpster nearby. "He's right, if we don't do something soon, Mikoto's going to..."
Happy stopped speaking, like he didn't want to even contemplate what would happen to their friend.
Natsu nodded. He walked over to Lucy, who still lay unconscious as if in a dream-like sleep, picked her up, and put her into Accelerator's arms. "Take care of her for me."
"You'd trust me with her?" said Accelerator. "Even though we've only met for a total of 2 minutes?"
"You helped me." said Natsu. "I don't think you're our enemy."
"Keh." spat Accelerator. "You're right. But that kind of thinking might get you killed someday."
"Happy!" shouted Natsu. "Ya know what to do!"
"AYE SIR!!!" Happy flew over to Natsu, extending his wings even wider then he had ever done before and picked Natsu up by the back, Soaring into the night sky with him....towards Mikoto Misaka.
Laxus Dreyer and Touma Kamijou were walking down the streets of the 8th district. The 8th district was mainly comprised of apartment buildings, residential houses, and ,in some cases, large mansions. That was because this district was made mainly to accomodate the faculty and employees who worked and taught at Academy City. Teachers, Anti-Skill officers, scientists, and married couples all lived in this area.
Laxus was speaking with Natsu and Uiharu through his comlink, his face looking graver with every bit of news that was fed through. Touma, who was listening to the conversation through his comlink, looked horrified.
"No." said Touma. "I can't believe this is happening again!"
"You've seen this before!!?" shouted Natsu's staticky voice from the earpiece.
"It was about a year ago." said Touma. "Me and the number 7 level 5 Gunha Sogiita were barely able to stop her."
"Gunha's that Attack Crash guy right?" said Laxus. "Me and Gramps actually ran into him during our investigation....pretty interesting guy. So how did you guys stop her eventually?"
"What we did then won't work now." said Touma. "It'll actually take too long to explain, but if Mikoto's Thunder Dragon thingy is also active, then even Imagine Breaker might not be able to slow her down for long, not unless I can get close and touch her directly."
"I could get you close." said Laxus. "But what then? How would we stop the Level 6 shift?"
"Mikoto was forced into the shift by an electric virus that was created by a scientist named Gensei Kihara....if we could somehow siphon all the bad electricity out of her.....just a theory."
"Well I can definitely do that." said Laxus. "So where can we find her Uiharu?"
"Judging from all the cameras that are shorting out from electric interference.....I'd say she'll coming at you right about now.....zzzz...kssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh"
The ear pieces immediately crumpled and crackled from static interference.
Laxus and Touma looked behind them to see an intimidating sight. It was a massive tornado of city objects. Everythiing from mailboxes, cleaning drones, cars, busses, pick up trucks, battle mech suits (yes, Academy City has mech suits), steel gurdurrs, to, just plain metal chunks, fragments, and traffic lights and cameras were rotating around through electromagnetism in a high speed twister of death.
In the center of the metal hurricane, Touma and Laxus could just make out the black lightning cloaked form of Mikoto. Her one black eye and one moon struck eye staring out into space, the black tendrils on her bangs shooting out black sparks, and the massive black energy wings which were shooting out the diamond shaped energy rings that tore up the road beneath her feet.
Laxus's jaw dropped. "That....is something else."
"We need to get through!" said Touma.
"Well then you just leave that to me!!" said Laxus engulfing his body in lightning. Laxus suddenly turned his body into pure electricity and shot at Mikoto in the form of a yellow spark which jumped around in between the flying cars and building fragments till it came to Mikoto at the center of the tornado. The lightning reformed into Laxus who grabbed Mikoto in his muscular arms like a restrainitive hug.
Mikoto's blank eyes seemed to widen slightly from surprise, and the metal rotating around her suddenly slowed down and just hung there, motionless. Touma yelled and ran as fast as he could through the mass of metal objects. He thrusted out his right hand, but just as his fingers were just 3 inches away from Mikoto's right shoulder, Laxus was suddenly blasted back by a hailstorm of black diamond shaped energy rings from Mikoto's wings. Touma was forced to use Imagine Breaker to shield himself from the energy rings as well, while Laxus grabbed him and jumped away from the blasts before both he and Touma could get seriously hurt.
Lightning bolts soared out of Mikoto as if she were an endless destructive generator, blasting into Laxus's back, causing both him and Touma to tumble into the ground, as the metal tornado began to rotate quickly again, trapping Touma and Laxus inside.
"Crap...." said Laxus panting. "She's gotten real strong....even Gildarts or Mystogan would have a tough time with her...granted I've never seen all of what Mystogan could do...."
"It's her Dragon Slayer powers." said Touma rubbing his bruised side. "They're making her even more powerful then when she was level shifting the first time around. "If we don't stop her soon, she's going to evolve...."
"What do you mean evolve?" said Laxus"
Suddenly Mikoto's black lightning tendrils began to whip around uncontrollably, Her hair lifted up and twirled into strange horn-like protrusions. Black electricity traveled down her forearms and cloaked themselves into giant electric dragon talons made purely out of black lightning. A massive electric tail formed at Mikoto's back side, a huge diamond shaped energy ring attatched to the end of the tail as electrically sparking spine-like structures ran all the way down Mikoto's back.
"Oh....." said Laxus. "Evolve....I get it."
"This is different from when she changed before!" said Touma. "No freaking way she had a tail!"
"Like you said before." said Laxus. "She's got Dragon Slayer magic boosting her this time. Heck she's even starting to look like a dragon."
Touma gritted his teeth. At the rate Mikoto was changing, if they didn't act fast, his friend was going to either be a stain in a crater, or she was going to cause miniature appocalypse right in Academy City..... What had this Black Whisper guy been thinking!?
"We need a new game plan." said Touma. "Something unexpected to give us a boost."
Laxus looked up into the sky and grinned. "Something like that?"
Flying out of the sky at mach speed was Happy and Natsu. Natsu had his fists engulfed in flames. "CRIMSON LOTUS: FIRE DRAGON'S FIST!!!!!!!"
Natsu's fiery fists moved in a blur of speed, punching his way through the metal tornado and destroying every obstacle that came in his way till he finally burst through the other side and landed next to Laxus and Touma.
"Someone call for a little backup?" said Natsu grinning. "Cause it's time we brought good ol' Mikoto back to her senses!"
"Well." said Touma grinning as well. "That definitely counts as unexpected."
Hade's Trick
"Alright!!" shouted Natu. "What's the plan!? Cause I've got nothing!!"
"Aye!" said Happy. "I've got nothing either!"
"What?!" said Touma. "Didn't you come up with something on your way here!?"
"Nope!"
"That's just Natsu for you." said Laxus grinning. "He basically wings it until he finds something he can hit!"
"But this is Mikoto we're talking about!" said Touma. "We can't hurt her!!"
The threesome turned to look at the blankly staring Railgun, her black energy wings tearing up the road behind her, the black energy tail also ripping up a trail behind her. And as if that weren't enough, the twister of metal was closing in slowly.
"Dang!" said Touma. "If that metal closes in enough we'll be ripped to shreds!"
"Then we'll just have to get Mikoto back before that happens!" said Natsu. "Come on Touma!!"
Touma Kamijou clenched his right fist determinedly. "Okay!! Then lets try this again! I need to get close enough to touch her..."
"And I think I know exactly how we're going to do that." said Laxus with a sudden gleam in his eyes. "Natsu! How would ya like to help me light up the night!?"
Natsu cracked his knuckles enthusiastically. "Sounds like fun!! Ya getting this Happy?"
"Aye!"
Touma however, just looked confused. "Huh? Just what are you guys getting at!?"
"No time to explain!" said Laxus, "You'll get it along the way! Now GO!!"
Without warning, Happy flew at Touma and grabbed his back, then he flew off into the air while Touma cried out in shock. Laxus and Natsu launched themselves at Mikoto.
"HEY!!" Shouted Natsu. "Over here!!!!"
Mikoto turned to look at Natsu with her blank ghostly stare, immediately a powerful blast of black lightning came hurling at Natsu.
"Iron Fist of the FIre Dragon!!" shouted Natsu, his flaming fist collided with the black lightning bolt, Natsu powered through the electrical blast, using his flaming fist as some sort of shield agianst the onslaught of electrical power.
"That's right Natsu!!" shouted Laxus. "Keep her busy!!" Laxus began glow with powerful electricity, his skin turned scaly as he activated every last inch of his vast power.
"SECRET ART: CRASHING THUNDER!!!" Laxus launched himself forward in a furious bolt tackle, slamming into Mikoto while grabbing hold of her at the same time, Laxus got up holding restraining Mikoto, wings and all, with his arms like before, straining with all his might as Mikoto's wings tried spread out again.
"Hurry!!" shouted Laxus. "I'm not sure how long I can hold her!!"
"AYE SIR!!!" Shouted Happy flying at mach speed with Touma towards both Laxus and Mikoto.
"Alright!" said Touma extending Imagine Breaker outwards. "I'm coming Mikoto!!!!"
Suddenly the black electric wings gave a bursting spark and blasted outwards, causing Laxus to plow into the ground behind Mikoto. Mikoto's black electric tail slammed into Laxus like a club, causing the ground to erupt in an enormous shockwave. Mikoto then thrusted out her black electric talons and shot out a ginormous black lightning sphere at Touma and Happy.
Touma touched the sphere with Imagine Breaker, causing the sphere to shatter like glass into nothingness, but before Touma and Happy could get any closer, Mikoto's electric wings morphed into a multitude of dark electric tentrils which shot out and wrapped around Natsu and Happy, shocking the two of them with powerful electricity.
"Jaws Of The Fire Dragon!!!" Natsu engulfed his hands in flames and grabbed the electrical tendrils holding Touma and Happy. Struggling against the intense shock he was recieving, Natsu ripped the tendrils apart, causing Touma and Happy to fall to the ground smoking.
Natsu fell back, his hands blackened and burning from touching Mikoto's steadily increasing electrical power. "HOT HOT HOT!! Dang! It's been a long time since anything's felt that hot to me."
Mikoto's wings reformed and she wandered aimlessly and slowly around before thrusting her electrically charged talons into the air. Immediately, the tornado of electromagnetically charged objects gave a burst, and around 12 buses and one large train which had been ripped off a monorail came flying at Natsu.
"Darn it..." said Natsu as the monorail and busses piled on top of him at terrifying speed.
Touma got up rubbing his head and moaning. "Ugggghhhhh...that was painful..... Wait, am I the only one left!?"
Touma looked around. Happy was lying pathetically on the ground, his wings and fur burnt and smoking. Laxus lay absolutely unmoving in mound of rocks and road. And all that could be seen of Natsu was one hand that lay out from under the pile of wrecked busses and monorail train.
Mikoto continued to walk down the street, the metal tornado throwing it'self outwards and demolishing itself into the surrounding buildings. As the metal stopped flying around, an intense black crackling energy began to shoot out from Mikoto's bangs until it condensed into a small black sphere that levitated between Mikoto's horns.....the transformation was nearing completion.
"NO!!" shouted Touma. "I'm not losing you yet!!!"
Touma ran at Mikoto as fast as his feet would let him. Mikoto shot out another blast of black lightning out at Touma, but Touma thrust out his right hand in front of him and shattered the blast of energy.
Mikoto opened her mouth and a massive black Roar Of The Thunder Dragon blasted outwards at Touma. Touma thrust out his hand in front of him again. This time, the electric blast kept bursting forwards, constantly blasting against Imagine Breaker as Touma pushed against the combination of esper and magic energy with all his might.
"I'm not...letting.....you...go!!" growled Touma pushing himself closer and closer towards Mikoto against the massive Roar attack. "You hear me in there Mikoto!? I'm NOT LETTING YOU GO!!!!"
Mikoto's roar attack suddenly died down and shattered into nothingness. Mikoto tilted her head, her eyes still blank and staring, but somehow somewhat conscious.....as if something in there seemed to recognize Touma.
"...."
"That's right Mikoto!" shouted Touma. "It's me...Just let me help you-"
"ZAMM!!"
A bolt of black lightning struck right in front of Touma's feet, causing him to fall backwards.
Touma got up steadily holding his hands up. "Easy...Just take it easy..."
Mikoto tilted her head again, the electric wings shifted a little, as if unsure whether to attack or not.
"...?"
Touma inched closer. "That's right....just let me help you there...you're not yourself....just try and remember."
Touma finally got right up to Mikoto. "See? I'm not hurting you...."
Touma inched his right hand over to Mikoto's shoulder, but suddenly Mikoto's black eyes widened and the electric tail came out from behind and wrapped around Touma's body, lifting him into the air and shocking him with a ton of electric power.
"Dang it!!" shouted Touma as he punched the tail with Imagine Breaker, causing part of it to shatter like glass. Touma fell to the ground panting as the electric tail regrew and Mikoto tilted her head to the side again as if she was struggling to think for herself.
Touma shakily got to his knees. "That Black Whisper...thinks he can just go and take you like this?...Well I'LL SMASH THAT ILLUSION OF HIS!!!"
Touma reached out and grabbed Mikoto's shoulder with his right hand. There was a sound like shattering glass and Mikoto's wings dissapated along with her tail and electric talons, however her eyes were still black, her right pupil bright and round as the moon.
"LAXUS COME ON MAN!!" shouted Touma. "YOU NEED TO GET UP!!!"
Laxus shifted wearily and got up wiping blood from his lips. "Guh...bad time for a nap...."
Laxus stood up and engulfed his body in lightning. "Here I go!!"
Laxus shot forward in a burst of electric sparks and grabbed Mikoto's other shoulder with his hand. immediately his hand was engulfed with black lighting that traveled down his body and into his other fist. The lighting shot out from Mikoto, and through Laxus like a conducter while Laxus shot the electricity out from his other hand and into the sky...
Finally, the last of the black energy was siphoned out of Mikoto. the black sphere levitating near her forhead faded away. The blackness in her eyes faded away returning to their normal color. Mikoto's knees buckled and she fell into Touma's arms. "T-Touma.....?"
Touma grinned at Mikoto. "Welcome back Biribiri." (Biribiri is Touma's nickname for Mikoto because of the sound electricity makes.)
Mikoto tried to say something else, but she was so drained of energy, that instead she fell straight to sleep in Touma Kamijou's arms.
"Heh." said Touma. "I guess I'd be tired too after something like this."
Under the piled of busses nearby, the hand of Natsu of Dragneel waved feebly. "Hey....guys? A little help here.....I'm kinda hungry under this thing...............I could really use one of Mira's scones."
Meanwhile, back in the dorm, Uiharu was breathing a huge sigh of relief onto her keyboard while Index heartily devoured everything from Touma's fridge.
"Thank goodeness." said Uiharu. "Mikoto's alright....."
"Mmmmffff." said Index in between bites. "Why are you so worried about Miss Shorthair? Did I miss something?"
"You have no idea..." said Wendy who had just returned with Charle.
Currently the only ones in Touma's dorm were Mira, Uiharu, Wendy, Charle, and Index. When Master Markorav had heard about the level 6 shift that was going down, he had left in a hurry, leaving the girls to manage Tree Diagram.
"So where did that weird old guy go?" asked Index. "I thought it wasn't safe for us to go unsupervised or something...."
"Well you've got me to watch you." said Mira cheerfully. "So I don't think we'll have to worry about a thing."
"She may not look it now." Charle whispered to Uiharu. "But Mira is actually extremely scary when she fights, I'd say she's scary enough to even send one of those level 5s running."
'Really?" said Uiharu with wide eyes. "But she seems so nice!"
"To her friends yes." said Charle. "But I've seen her take down an enemy while drinking poison like it was candy....." (This was during the finale of the Fairy Tail Grand Magic Games Arc.)
"Hey..." said Index. "Is it just me? Or does it feel a little damp in here...?"
Suddenly, the center of Touma's dorm erupted in a geyser of black water, and Aqualas emerged. "Hmmm.....it seems Hades was right.....driving the Railgun into a Level 6 shift did lure Markorav away....the plan worked to perfection."
"You!!" shouted Mira instantly morphing into her Satan Soul form. "DEMON BLAST!!!"
A powerful sphere of dark energy burst from Mira's now clawed hands.
"Great Slumber Of The Water God." said Aqualas as a massive shield of black water crashed down on the energy sphere then morphed and engulfed Mirajane."
"MIRA!!" Shouted Uiharu as she was knocked unconscious by a large tendril of black water.
"Now..." said Aqualas pointing at Index. "I can finally fufill my part in this grand scheme."
"No!" shouted Index backing off. "Stay away!"

A mass of black water obscured Index's vision. And everything went dark.3
The Return Of Black Whisper
"No!!" Shouted Natsu looking at the wreckage before him.
Natsu, Laxus, Happy, and Touma had just returned to the dorm. Mikoto was still fast asleep in Touma's arms. But instead of an intact dorm, they had come back to find the entire building in flames and nearly completely wrecked. Erza, Gravix, and Master Markorav were also outside, watching the building burn. The entire area was surrounded by evacuated students, Anti-Skill units, Judgement officers, fire trucks, and ambulances.
The group ran over to the others.
"What happened!?" shouted Touma. "What's going on!?"
"Purehito played us." said Markorav. "I am sorry.....I should have forseen this earlier."
"Where are the others!?" shouted Natsu.
"Most of the guild are still out investigating their respective areas." said Gravix. "As for the ones who were in the dorm at the time....." Gravix pointed at the ambulance nearby.
Mira was being carried away on a stretcher while Uiharu, Wendy and Charle were sitting on the end of another ambulance being bandaged and given water by some of the paramedics.
Natsu began to shake with anger as flames engulfed his body. "Someone's going to pay..."
Suddenly, as if out of thin air, Kuroko Shirai teleported right in front of the group. She had her Judgement officer badge on her arm. "Whoops, sorry about the sudden entrance....."
"Kuroko!" said Touma. "What's happening, is anyone else hurt!?"
Kuroko shook her head. "No...just Mira...Uiharu and Wendy got a little bruised up though.....It's so horrible, whoever would attack someone like this then burn down the building while they're inside is worse then dispicable in my book."
"No kidding." growled Natsu as the flames around his body became even more intense.
"Whoa there." said Kuroko. "are you okay? I mean I've seen angry pyrokinisests before....but you look like you're having a meltdown..."
"He'll be fine." said Laxus. "It's been worse before."
"WHEREVER YOU ARE HYDRA HEAD AND GRIMOIRE HEART!!!!!" shouted Natsu. "I AM GOING TO KICK YOUR BIG BLUE BUTTS TO HIGH HEAVEN!!!!!!!!!!"
Kuroko jumped back looking slightly disturbed. "Whoah....."
Suddenly Kuroko noticed Mikoto sleeping peacefully in Touma's arms. "Wh-what!? What's wrong with Sissy!?"
"She's fine." said Markorav. "She's just really tired, that's all..."
"What on Earth was she doing to make her that exhausted?" said Kuroko. "Don't tell me she was fighting hooligans in the street again!"
"Er.....in a manner of speaking..." said Touma. "But she's absolutely fine."
Kuroko sighed. "I swear.....it's like the entire world's gone crazy. There have weird explosions and fights breaking out all over the city....I don't think I've slept for for at least 45 hours."
"Hey guys?" said Touma as if suddenly noticing something. "Where's Index?"
Erza, and Markorav's expressions suddenly became extremely solemn, while Gravix's masked helmeted head looked away.
"No!!" Said Touma. "Don't tell me they..."
"I'm afraid Index was nowhere to be found...." said Erza. "They captured her....as was their orriginal intent."
"Wait!" said Kuroko. "That Sister's been captured?! What's going on here!?"
Everyone else looked at each other, as if unsure of what to tell Kuroko. Uiharu came walking up to the group, a water bottle in her hand and her clothes slightly burnt.
"I-Im sorry." said Uiharu. "That strange blue haired man knocked me out....."
"It wasn't your fault." said Gravix. "There's nothing you could have done...how's Mirajane, Wendy and Charle."
"Wendy and Charle are both a little shaken up, but otherwise they'll be fine." said Uiharu. "Mira....the paramedics said they needed to get her to the hospital right away...I don't know what's going to happen."
"Purehito and Black Whisper intentionally put Mikoto into a level 6 shift to distract us from their true intentions." said Markorav. "I had only headed out for about 10 minutes after I heard about Mikoto's condition.....but my informants (one of the Misaka Sisters) alerted me to what was happening. By the time I returned, it was too late."
"We have to find Index..." said Natsu. "Who knows what they'll do to her...."
Suddenly Mikoto started to stir in Touma's arms. "I-its coming...h-he's coming...."
"Sissy?!" cried out Kuroko. "What's wrong?! Why are you shivering like that!? Are you cold!?"
Mikoto's eyes opened wide as she grabbed Touma's shirt colar in a frantic attempt to make him understand. "T-Touma!! He's COMING!!! HE'S COMING!! I SMELL HIM!!"
"Smell!? Smell who!?" exclaimed Touma.
"Wait..." said Natsu. "I smell something too.....it smells like....no...it can't be!!"
Wendy jumped up from where she was sitting and pointed upwards. "LOOK OUT!!!!"
A hooded figure shot out of the night sky cloaked in intense purplish energy and landed blasted into the burning dorm building, causing it to explode and collapse in an intense shockwave. Students and ran around in panic, while Anti-Skill officers trained their guns on the smoking wreckage.
Out of the smoking rubble came the cloaked figure of Black Whisper. "Fools...you dare aim your pathetic toys at ME!?"
Black Whisper waved a hand, and all the Anti-Skill officers fell down into a multitude of portals that had opened up on the ground beneath them. Another multitude of portals opened up 40 ft above the smoking flaming rubble, and the Anti-Skill officers fell screaming into the treacherous wreckage.
Black Whisper tore his robe and hood from his body, revealing his purplish distorted body made completely out of vortexes and portals. "Hello Railgun....how good to see you again...I've been waiting to kill you for so long!!!"
Black Whisper struck the ground with his fist. "GREAT QUAKE OF THE SPATIAL DRAGON!!!!"
A shockwave made out of a strange spatial distortion eminated from Black Whisper's fist and destroyed all the vehicles in the area as more people ran off in absolute panic. "HAHAHAHAA!!!! THIS WILL BE MOST PLEASENT!!!!"
Erza immediately changed into her Black Wing armor. "Touma, Natsu, get Mikoto, Uiharu, Wendy and Charle out of here! We'll hold him back.....GO!!"
"Dang it, I really wanna smash that guy!!" said Natsu as he ran over to Wendy and Charle and picked them up. Both he and Touma ran as fast as they could into the dark streets.
"You aren't getting away!!" shouted Black Whisper.
But before he could do anything else, a massive blast of light energy shot at Black Whisper from Markarov's hands. "Oh no you don't!!! There's no way I'm going to let you hurt my brats!!!!!!"
Markarov began to eminate an intense burning energy and the ground began to shake. It was Markarov's Giant's Wrath...the move that was unleashed when Markarov was absolutely enraged.
"What the heck!!?" exclaimed Kuroko. "What are you people!?"
"Listen!" said Erza. "I know that we have a lot to explain, but right now Mikoto's in serious danger....please, you have to go look after her!! We'll handle things here!!"
Kuroko looked dumbfounded for a moment. Then she shook herself. "R-right, I'm on it!"
Kuroko instantly teleported away with her esper ability as Erza turned to face Black Whisper, who was currently engaging Markarov.
Markorav shot several more massive beams of light at Black Whisper. "How dare you come here!!! After you hurt my children!!!"
Black Whisper cackled as he used his spatial bending Dragon Born ability to increase his speed and easily dodge Markarov's attacks. "FOOL!! You treat these filth as your own, and yet your own son betrayed you and left into the darkness!!! How long has it been since Raven Tail began!? How often has your very own flesh and blood plotted your downfall!!!!!?"
"Now you have made me angry!!" exclaimed Markarov as he glowed more intensely then ever before. "As is Fairy Tail tradition....I shall give you till the count of 3 to stop your nonsense...1...2....3!!!!!!"
Markorav put his hands together as if in prayer. "FAIRY LAW!!!!!!"
Black Whisper suddenly started laughing harder. "Fool! I knew that would happen!!"
"What!?"
Suddenly, the light of energy in Markorav's hand turned purple and exploded outwards, causing Markorav to tumble across the road and into a nearby building, creating a massive gouge in the process.
"Secret Art: Spatial Hijacking!!" said Black Whisper. "It allows me to intercept the space within high level spell and use it's energy for my own ends once a day....and the energy from your Fairy Law was all I needed to take you down in one blow!!"
MASTER!!" Erza cried out.
"BLACK WHISPER!! DARN YOU!!" shouted Gravix thrusting out his armored hands. A powerful wave of gravitational energy came outwards rupturing the ground as it came at Black Whisper.
Black Whisper jumped into the air and over the gravity blast. "Gravix....there's something I've always wanted to tell you!!"
Black Whisper crashed into Gravix with his feet and pinned him to the ground. "You lack blood lust!!"
Black Whisper smashed his distorted fist against Gravix's lion mask which shattered to reveal a tan handsome face with long black hair. Black Whisper grabbed Gravix by the face and threw him into the air.
"SECRET ART: SPATIAL RECKONING!!!"
A purple vortex swirled around Gravix and blasted him into the ground, creating a crater around 60 ft across. Gravix stopped moving...
"You fiend!!" cried out Erza launching herself at Black Whisper and swinging her sword around in blur of speed.
Black Whisper's body became even more distorted then usual as the space around him bended and allowed him to dodge each and every single one of Erza's slashes.
"Titania!" said Black Whisper. "How full of yourself you are!!!"
Black Whisper's energy body grew to massive size and the energy peeled back like a second skin to reveal a huge dragon with gleaming purple scales and glowing magma colored eyes. The dragon roared and swiped it's talons at Erza, knocking her aside like a rag doll.
"Foolish girl!!" Roared Black Whisper beating his beating his powerful wings. "You thought that you and your pathetic guild had seen the last of ME!? You shall all pay for your insolence.....And I shall see Mikoto Misaka's head hanging for all the world to see!!!"
Erza got up panting as blood dripped from her lips. "Over my dead body!" In a flash of bright light, Erza switched to her Armadura Fairy.
Erza bared her twin swords as the entire area shook from the intensity of her magic energy. "I will slay you where you stand!!!" Erza sped at Black Whisper and slashed her two swords across the dragon's right flank.
Black Whisper roared in pain and flew up into the air, hovering above Erza Scarlet and eying her furiously. Black Whisper opened his mouth and blasted out a powerful stream of purple energy which tore apart the ground on which Erza had stood only seconds before she had dodged.
Erza jumped up at Black Whisper exhibiting incredible speed as she swung her sword down at one of the dragon's wings in a powerful flashing arc. But before the blade could even touch the wing, Black Whisper swung his massive body around and knocked Erza to the ground with his tail.
Black Whisper dove downwards and smacked his front talons down on top of Erza. Black Whisper bared his dagger-like teeth and roared in Erza's face. "It's over Titania, for you and Fairy Tail!!!!"
Black Whisper opened his jaws, preparing for one final Roar attack. Suddenly, a fist came out and slammed into Black Whisper's side, causing him blast back and straight into a Sky Scraper that collapsed on top of him.
Standing over Erza, was Gildarts and Accelerator.
"Gildarts!?" said Erza. "But how!?"
"Hey there Erza." said Gildarts. "Sorry I took so long."
"Hey Old Geezer!" spat Accelerator. "You sure it was okay to leave that Lucy girl at my place?"
"They're not after her." said Gildarts. "She'll be fine...which is more then I can say for him..."
Black Whisper tore himself out of the wreckage and gave a booming roar. "WHO DARES!!?"
"An angry antisocial esper and an Old Geezer magician." spat Accelerator. "Did that answer your question?"
"Accelerator and Gildarts!" growled Black Whisper. "Of course it would be you fools!! I am not fool enough to fight the strongest mage and esper on my own after using so much of my magic energy....BUT I SHALL NOT BEGRUDGE MYSELF THE DEATH OF THE ONE I DESPISE MOST!!!"
Black Whisper gave a ginormous roar and a huge portal opened up on top of him. The massive dragon flew through the portal and dissapeared.
"Dang it!" spat Accelerator. "Where did he go!?"
"Mikoto.....' said Erza. "He's gone after Mikoto!"
"I don't think...I can run.....much longer." panted Touma Kamijou as he his steps started to slow down.
"Then why don't you just put me down!?" said Mikoto. "Seriously, I can just eat my own esper electricity to refuel myself!"
"To be honest....." sputtered Touma. "I haven't really thought of that."
"Hey guys!!" shouted Natsu from up ahead as he ran with Wendy in tow. "Hurry up, we gotta get up one of those buildings!!"
"What's at the top of those buildings?" asked Charle who was flying alongside Happy.
Natsu looked back with a mischievious gleam in his eyes. "Well ya see, I was thinking, if that Black Whisper guy somehow made it past Erza and Gramps, then we could ambush him from the sky or something! Really smash him up...ya know!?"
"Ummmm.....Natsu?" said Mikoto. "It's a little late for that."
"Huh?"
Natsu looked up to see a giant portal opening up. "AW COME ON!!"
"Part of me is wondering why he didn't do that earlier..." muttered Touma.
The massive purple dragon that was Black Whisper flew through the portal and landed with an earth shaking boom on the street. His magma colored eyes glowed with malice. "Found you!!"
"No you haven't!" shouted Happy. "You haven't found us at all!! This all just one ginormous illusion!!!"
"Back when you fought me before!" growled Black Whisper. "I admit, you had a slight advantage, but now that I've waited till you have exhausted nearly all your magical power, I am the superior fighter here!!"
"Darn it!" said Touma. "He's right, after the whole level 6 shift thing we're all the worst for wear."
"Not true!" exclaimed Wendy. "I've still got all my magic energy!"
"One meazly little sky dragon against me?" said Black Whisper. "HAHAHAHAHA! Pathetic!! You might as well tell Kain Hikaru he's beautifull!!!!"
"Don't you dare talk to any of our family like that!" growled Natsu. "I'll crush you!!!!"
"You're all welcome to try!!!"
"No..." Mikoto had a look on her face that expressed nothing but supreme anger. "He's mine...."
Touma looked at Mikoto in surprise. "Biribiri? Are you sure...?"
"Just put me down Touma..." said Mikoto. "I've got this.....and you too Natsu...stay out this, all of you...It's time I ended this."
Touma helped Mikoto to her feet gently. Mikoto stood there for a bit then she generated a huge lightning spark from her bangs. Mikoto opened he mouth, and the bluish energy rushed in like a vacuum. Mikoto swallowed and began to glow with a tremendous amount of electric energy. "Hey Natsu....what is it you say when you've just eaten...and are ready to smash some numbskulls?"
"Uhhh.....that taco was delicious?"
"No...." said Mikoto. "Oh, now I remember...I'M ALL FIRED UP!!!!"
Mikoto's Thunder Dragon Wings burst outwards with the force of a hurricane and she leapt at Black Whisper with a look of absolute rage.
"Foolish girl!!" Shouted Black Whisper. "You merely accelerate your own downfall!!!"
The dragon swiped it's talon at Mikoto, but one of her wings knocked the claws aside while at the same time, giving the dragon a powerful shock. Mikoto landed on Black Whisper's head, straight in between his molten eyes.
"SECRET ART: WING BRIGADE OF THE DRAGON BORN!!!!!"
The electric wings suddenly split off into a multitude of sparks. The sparks each formed themselves into a multitude of miniature dragons made of pure lightning. The little dragons then shot themselves into Black Whisper's chest like a multitude of electric bullets, creating a massive explosion that sent the dragon flying.
As Black Whisper was thrown into the air, Mikoto kicked off from his head and puffed up her cheeks. "ROAR OF THE THUNDER DRAGON!!!"
A twister of electric power engulfed Black Whisper. Mikoto landed back on the ground lightly, her reformed wings ionizing the water particles in the air to slow her fall.
When the smoke cleared however, Black Whisper stood there, his scaly hide showing no signs of damage ( unless you count some of the slashes made by Erza.)
"Wh-what!?" said Mikoto. "Those were some of my strongest moves...How?"
"You have to admire Master Hades's handy work." said Black Whisper. "After my initial defeat at your hands, he enhanced my powers upon my healing so that I would be strong enough to face Markarov Dreyer as well as the rest of Fairy Tail. I am actually quite impressed that Titania managed to damage me so easily, that Armadura Fairy holds quite the magic boost I must say."
"If that's true...." said Wendy. "How are we going to defeat him!? I can't use my support magic on Mikoto because her esper powers only allow her to use her own magic....and Natsu is all tuckered out!!"
"Maybe I can negate his enhancements with Imagine Breaker!" said Touma readying his right hand.
"No!!" shouted Mikoto. "Like I said before.....he's mine!! It's my fault in the first place that he came after Fairy Tail. It's me he wants...it was always me!!"
"Brave to the point of audacity." said Black Whisper. "You are so much like your father....."
"Liar..." growled Mikoto. "You don't know my dad!"
"You would be surprised!" exclaimed the dragon. "I was born of this world too! Remember!!? Tabigake Misaka was always brashly rebellious when I knew him!! Your human mother Misuzu was also quite the adventurous one...I wonder how you would feel if after I killed you, I payed them a visit!!!"
Mikoto screamed with rage and her wings grew more massive sparking with the rage of the sparking skies. All the traffic lights and lamps in the area exploded and burned out from electrical power that reverbrated throughout the area.
"NOW YOU'RE DEAD!!!" Screamed Mikoto as her wings suddenly morphed themselves into massive clawed hands. "SECRET ART: THUNDER CLAP OF THE DRAGON BORN!!!"
The two giant electric hands stretched outwards and clapped together with Black Whisper in between. Sandwiching the dragon in between the two masses of electric power and holding him in place as Black Whisper recieved a shock more powerful then any Mikoto had given an enemy before.
Mikoto took a coin out of her pocket and flicked it at Black Whisper. "SECRET ART: RAILGUN METEOR OF THE THUNDER DRAGON!!!!!"
The coin flew forward at supersonic speeds, suddenly morphing into a ginormous dragon made of pure electric energy as it came at Black Whisper. There was a huge explosion of light that lit up the night sky like the sun.
However, when the light died down, Black Whisper suddenly flew through the smoke and pinned Mikoto to the ground like he did before with Erza. "Like I said before!!! I am much stronger then when you last faced me!!!"
Black Whisper opened his maw, and blasted Mikoto full on with a huge Roar of The Spatial Dragon.
"MIKOTO!!!!" Touma shouted. "NOOOO!!!!!"
That's when something, no one was expecting happened. The spatial energy gave a big twist, and instead of destroying Mikoto, it began to be sucked into her mouth like the electricity she had eaten previously.
"N-no!" said Black Whisper. "She's eating my magic!!!?"
Mikoto swallowed the last of the portal energy and grinned. "Heh....so that's how Natsu got his Thunder Fire Dragon mode....I see now."
Mikoto's wings suddenly gave a tremendous burst and seperated themselves into six giant electric tendrils (for all you pokemon fans out there, think of it like Giritina's Origin form tendrils, only made of lightning.) The tendrils then each became surrounded in a twister of purple energy. One of the tendrils slammed into Black Whisper like a club, knocking him off of Mikoto.
MIkoto stood up surrounded by both electricity and swirling purple spatial energy. "Just you wait.....I'm about to put on quite a show....."
Mikoto opened her mouth. "ROAR OF THE SPATIAL THUNDER DRAGON!!!!!"
A vortex of lightning and purple energy blasted out from Mikoto's mouth, just barely missing the dragon who sped out of the way like a giant viper.
"Don't get cocky girl!!" screamed Black Whisper. "I tear you to shreds!!!!! ROAR OF THE SPATIAL DRAGON!!!" The roar attack neared Mikoto, but just as it got right next to her, a portal appeared below her and Mikoto dissapeared down it.
"What!?" said Black Whisper. "Where did you-?!"
A portal appeared right behind Black Whisper, and Mikoto burst through with her fist engulfed in lightning and purple energy. "FLASHING LOTUS: EXPLODING DISTORTION FIST!!!!!"
Mikoto crashed her energy engulfed fist against Black Whisper's right wing, instantly breaking it and pummeling it against the dragon's back.
Black Whisper collapsed, crying out in absolute agony. Mikoto leapt off of Black Whisper and dissapeared into another portal. Black Whisper stumbled back to his feet in rage.
"RAARRRGHHH!!! Where are you!!!?" Black Whisper looked around furiously, roaring in absolute confusion.
Suddenly, a multitude of portals opened up around Black Whisper in a dome-like shape. "EXPLODING SPEAR OF THE SPATIAL THUNDER DRAGON!!!!!"
A multitude of electric spears shot out of the portals in random order unpredictably, Stabbing into Black Whisper's hide. Black Whisper roared in pain and fell over onto his back thrashing around like a dying fish.
"THE PAIN!!!" cried out Black Whisper. "THE PAIN, THE PAIN, THE PAIN!!!!!" (While in Spatial Thunder Dragon Mode, Mikoto can unconsciously manipulate the space around her electric attacks to always hit where her opponent's nerve receptors are...causing maximum pain sensitivity.)
Black Whisper began to glow uncontrollably. As if something inside his body had become unstable. "Yaarrghh....my power!!!! Its.....Its...YARRRGGGHHH!!!!!"
Black Whisper attempted to fly away. However, the moment he spread his wings, the broken wing crumpled up and Black Whisper fell to Earth again, scrambling pathetically on his scaly belly.
A portal suddenly opened up behind Black Whisper and Mikoto stepped through. "You're not getting away...."
Mikoto engulfed her hands in spatial energy and electricity and grabbed Black Whisper's tail. She then gave a tremendous yell and threw the dragon over her head and into the ground on the other side of the street. Mikoto then brought out another small coin and rested it on her thumb. The coin immediately began to ripple and twist, as the space around it was bent.
"SECRET ART: SPARKING DIMENSIONAL RAILGUN!!!"
The coin flew forward in a burst of sparks then halfway to it's target, there was a flash of light, resulting from the coin suddenly going at almost the speed of light itself. Then an electrical explosion blasted into the sky from where Black Whisper lay. an explosion which traveled into the sky and took the shape of a ginormous dragon which opened it's mouth and gave a sonic roar that parted the clouds around it for 200 miles, revealing the moon and stars in all their glory. Then as quickly as it came, the dragon vanished.
In the smoking crater where the purple dragon once lay, was a small black haired child who wore nothing but black smoking rags.
"No....my powers...MY POWERS!!!!!" said the child looking at himself. "NOOOOOO!!!!!! You will pay for this Railgun!!! I SWEAR THAT I WILL BE YOUR ULTIMATE DARKNESS ONE DAY!!!! I SWEAR IT!!!"
Mikoto looked at the small child with a mixture of pity and finality . "Sorry.....but it looks like you already have a darkness of your own to deal with..."
