Erza Scarlet vs Noiress Blackout...The True Battle Grows Ever Closer
Diablo Etwatia strolled through the empty streets of Crocus, his dark cape billowing in a eirily in a nonexistant wind. With every step he took, the air around him seemed to moan with the agony....as if the very world seemed to consider his mere presence an agony it could not withstand.
"The time is fast approaching." said Diablo quietly. "Soon all of Fiore shall fall against our might. And now.....I must complete the bargain....."
Diablo came to a stop by an old looking tavern. The rough wooden sign on door said "The Three Headed Snake."
Diablo pushed open the door with an armored spiked hand and walked in. He looked around until he saw a heavily cloaked figure sitting at a stool in front of the old cobwebbed bar. Diablo walked over.
"Hmmm...the wine here is always aged to perfection...." mumbled the figure drunkly. "I never have to ask any special favors...*hiccup*.....I always get the best....*hiccup*...drinks..."
"Vinum Jachus..." said Diablo. "You do know that this bar is abandoned....don't you?"
"Why wouldn't....*hiccup*.....I?" said Vinum. "I'm only here because of the perfect age these beauties have reached....."
Vinum held out a hand. A dusty bottle of YearX651 Fiore Wine flew off one of the shelves and right into Vinum's hand. Vinum uncorked the bottle with his teeth and poured the wine straight into a large tankard. "I never get why...*hiccup*....people are so enthralled with beer...*hiccup*....They never quite matched the sweetness of a good fermented grape....."
"Has Gensei made his payment?" said Diablo.
"He was in here...hiccup....just a few hours ago...hiccup..." said Vinum holding up a dusty scroll. "It's all here....all knowlegde on the history of dragons in that world...and more...."
"And the hidden knowlege..." said Diablo. "Is it there?"
"No doubt about it..." said Vinum drinking heavily from his tankard. "Question is.....what do we do once Railgun begins to....you know....*hiccup*"
"Rest assured." said Diablo. "That will become a most convenient distraction as our invasion of this city begins....."1
Vinum nodded. "Good....if the rumors I've heard about how that girl was during her last level 6 shift are true....then no way would I want to fight that....*hiccup*....
"Our spy in Sabertooth has already proceeded with her part of the plan." said Diablo. "However if we are to truly win this fight....we must be patient.....the invasion shall begin after the 4th battle event of the Grand Magic Games...When that happens...The level 6 shift shall have begun.....and our plan will be free to come into fruition."
"And how do you plan on taking over all of Crocus on your own?" muttered Vinum. "In case you haven't noticed...*hiccup*....our guild only numbers 51 total.....49 if you count Gravix's defection and our master's current powerlessness.....*hiccup*.....And Hades doesn't look like he'll grant us any assistance this time.....*hiccup*.....what with his mission to infiltrate.....*hiccup*....the Magic Council in motion..."
Diablo wrenched the tankard out of Vinum's hand and poured it onto the dusty floor. "I think you have had enough to drink....even Bacchus of Quatro Cerberus has his own limits....how you even get through the day in a state of constant drunkeness, I'll never know....it's no wonder you're ranked only 41st out of 50 in this guild...."
"And I wonder about your own ranking....*hiccup*...." said Vinum. "Everyone knows you are more powerful then anyone in this guild....or possible the world now that Zeref is gone.....*hiccup*...Why are you ranked 2nd right under Aqualas eh....?"
"That is none of your concern...." said Diablo. "All you need to know is that the invasion begins tomorrow.....When the Railgun begins her path to a god....."
Diablo walked away and opened the door of the old abandoned bar. "You best be leaving....things are about to get rather interesting."
"With a nonhuman freak like you Diablo..." said Vinum. "Things are always interesting....."
"By the way..." said Diablo nodding at the corpse of a recently killed tourist leaning against the bar next to Vinum's seat. "Are you going to eat that?"
"Eat?" said Vinum. "You and Night Reveler are the only guys I know with such a sick taste for food....go ahead and dig in...."
Diablo put his spiked hands on his helmet and removed it. Beneath the helmet was not a human head, but a gray scabby head with two glowing red eyes. All over the head were a multitude of mouths all lined with sharp dagger-like teeth. The multiple mouths opened and long large black scabby tongues lolled out and ripped apart the corpse, devouring the flesh and clothing until nothing but bare white bone was left. Diablo put his helmet back on over his head.
"Hmmm.....it is only fitting that I have a proper feast before I begin....." said Diablo. "Farewell....."
As Diablo walked out of the bar, Vinus shook his head. "Jeez...what a sicko...."
Back in Domus Flau, around the same time.
Back in the stadium, the second battle event was about to be announced.
"Please be me vs Rogue..." Natsu prayed again. "Please be me vs Rogue..."
Mikoto on the other hand was clenching her hands in her seat, her face sweating. Tiny black sparks were jumping from her fingers, and the pain that was in her head was steadily increasing. However she was doing her absolute best to hide her pain from the rest of Team Fairy Tail.
However, nothing was easily hidden from Erza. She put a hand on Mikoto's shoulder. "Are you sure you don't want to go take a rest? You seem like you're pretty tired."
"I-I'm fine...." said Mikoto smiling at Erza. However, Erza noticed that Mikoto's hands were now clenching a little tighter, and that there were small black sparks jumping out of her knuckles.
"Mikoto.....what's going on? Are you in pain...?" Erza began.
But Mikoto shook her head. "E-Erza....please don't tell anybody.....I don't want anyone to be worried....."
Erza paused for a moment. "Alright....but at the first sign of trouble....You're going to the infirmary....I won't risk you getting hurt over this."
Mikoto nodded. "Y-you've got it...."
"And now we shall announce the second battle event!!" said the announcer enthusiastically. "As soon as I finish this wonderful strawberry cheesecake-"
"COOOL COOOOOOOL!!!!!" Jason twirled around enthusiastically in his chair again and knocked the cheese cake into the announcer's lap.4
"And apparently that was finished for me as well." said the Announcer glumly. "So the 3rd battle event shall be Erza Scarlet vs Noiress Blackout!!!"
"ERZA!!!!" shouted Natsu. "WHOOHOO!! This is going to be a slam dunk!!"
Mikoto looked at Erza. "Careful....she might be....you know."
Erza nodded at Mikoto and headed down to the center of the stadium. Noiress Blackout was already waiting for her, her wide brimmed skull adorned hat pulled low over her eyes.
Noiress smiled. "I've heard many good things about you Titania...I hope you grant me a good battle. I'm quite the swordswoman myself..."
Erza looked at Noiress. "I don't see a sword of any sort."
"Oh trust me.....you'll see my weapon soon enough.."
Mato looked at the two mages. "Kabo...are you two ready?"
"I believe so..." said Erza.
"I see no reason to hold us back any longer." said Noiress.
"Then you may start...KABO!!"
Erza didn't hesitate, instantly requiping into her Black Wing Armor. Erza flew at Noires swinging her sword in a blur of precision and skill.
However her sword was suddenly stopped in a blur of sparks by a black blade which seemed to materialize in Noiress's hand.
"That wasn't requipping just now..." said Erza. "What did you do!?"
"Shhhh..." said Noiress with a devious smile. "No telling....."
Noiress waved her unoccupied hand. "Swords of The Seven Heads.....Grimald, Ragnarok, Destero, Malef, Ryghoul, Golem, Serpentia."
Immediately a wheel of seven swords appeared behind Noiress in much the same method of Erza's Heaven's Wheel armor. Each sword had an intricate black hilt design that looked like a snake. Each blade was a different color. Red, green, gold, silver, orange, blue, and yellow.
"Allow me to introduce you to the seven heads of the great hydra, Eclipse." said Noiress. "Each head was imbibed within a sword long ago and infused with the energy of celestial spirits..."
Suddenly the entire battlefield began to tremble with immense power as Noiress grinned with malice. "Now I shall show you how a blade is truly meant to be handled."
Six black shadowy arms sprouted out of Noiress's shoulders and each grabbed the hilt of a different sword as her left hand grabbed the last blade. "Now...Snake Venom Barrage!!"
Noiress lunged at Erza and swung her six swords around in an immense blur of speed, while Erza did her best to dodge and block the incoming swords. Noiress suddenly bashed her six swords into Erza's blade, pinning her to the ground, and causing a massive crater to erupt around the warrior mage's feet.
"Such power....!" said Erza with shock. "Not even Master has this much!!"
Noiress licked her lips sinisterly. "I haven't even begun.....RIPPLING SNAKE HEADS!!!!"
Noiress seemed to swirl and blur as she waved her blades around in a circle like slash. Erza leapt back, her side covered in blood.
Erza swung her sord in a flashing x like slash. "MOON FLASH!!!" Two white energy slashes soared at Noiress who easily dissapated the slashing attacks with a swipe of the black sword in her left hand.
Noiress suddenly dissapeared in a blur of speed and reappeared behind Erza. "Slicing Sarcophagus!!"
The swords sliced down upon Erza with such a blur of speed, that even when Erza immediately requipped to her Soaring Armor, her left leg was still left with a deep gash.
Erza turned around and leapt at Noiress shooting around like a speeding meteor thanks to her Soaring Armor. Erza sliced her sword around mercillessly, clashing against Noiress's six swords in a blur of sparks and metalic flashes.
Erza suddenly requiped into her Morningstar armor and crossed her two blades together. "Photon Slicer!!"
A massive blast of energy blasted at Noiress. (Erza's photon slicer and Shizuri's Meltdowner ability actually follow similar concepts in that they both involve involve super condensed electrons.)
Noiress smiled again and her six swords joined their tips together and Noiress spun around, turning into a blurred drill that sliced straight through Erza's energy blast and nearly sliced into Erza who dodged just in time as Noiress drilled straight into the ground and dissapeared.
"Incredible!!" growled Erza as she requipped into samurai clothing and bared her twin swords. "Such speed!"
The ground suddenly erupted behind Erza and Noiress clashed her swords against Erza's who slashed back, causing a slight cut on Noiress's cheeks as she jumped back.
"My..." said Noiress, licking her lips a little more. "It's been a while since even a sword tip has managed to touch me.....not bad, Erza Scarlett....for an amateur..."
"Amateur?" said Erza. "You seem to have quite a lot of pride in your ability."
"Skill as great as mine is only natural if you have been fighting for over 800 years..." said Noiress. "I have no natural lifespan...who knows when I will die....but until then...I will learn as much as I can on the art of the blade."
"Before we continue this battle..." said Erza. "Allow me to ask you one question...."
"Hmmm?" Noiress smiled a little wider. "Ask away...."
"Are you familiar with the dark guild known as Hydra Head?"
"Oh....?" said Noiress her smile becoming a little evil. "Have you figured it out.....? In that case...."
Noiress raised two of her swords to the sky and crossed two of her lower swords. "I cannot let you live..."
Noiress began to chant. "The great Snake's blades rain upon the world, each head holds in itself a deadly sin. Lust, Gluttony, Envy, Sloth, Wrath, Pride, Greed....Let those sins gain form once again and feed upon the flesh of the living....."
The arms on Noiress's shoulders dissapeared and her seven swords rose into the air as her black sword remainded in her right hand. Each blade became shrouded in gruesome dark smoke that began to form itself into organic shapes. The smoke suddenly turned each into a massive black scaly head with deadly fangs, the heads grew into massive necks that went down for a length until they merged together into a connected body that turned into a massive serpent body hundreds of feet long, wrapping around in a massive coil.
The giant Hydra's heads towered above Domus Flau, each of it's heads had eyes the color of the swords they were previously.
"Allow me to introduce you to Eclipse..." said Noiress with an evil smile and a red light in her eyes. "The queen of all serpents....and offspring of Dravis and Apophis, the two great bringers of the Appocalypse!!"
"Wh-what is this thing!!?" said Erza, her eyes wide with shock.
Back in the stands, the spectators were no less shocked themselves.
"Wh-what kind of creature is that!!?" shouted the Announcer with his eyes wide as cookies.
Yajima looked furious, his eyes looking dark with absolute anger. "This magic.....it's the darkest of all Lost Magic...how could anybody be so foolish as to use this!!?"
In the Fairy Tail end of the stands, the armored Gravix had stood up. "No....It can't be.....she dissapeared from Hydra Head years ago!!"
"Gravix, you know about this!?" said Lucy.
"I've heard rumors of the Eight Bladed Woman in Hydra Head.....but she was supposed to have dissapeared years ago....her summoning of the great serpent Eclipse is what earned Hydra Head it's name in the first place!!"
"You summoned me master....?" an ancient female voice reverbrated throughout the stadium as Eclipse's forked tongues flickered in and out of it's seven mouths.
"I wish for you to bring death upon this one..." said Noiress with an unpleasent smile. "She is a mage of great power.....I am sure she will fill you up..."
"Very well master..." Hissed Eclipse. "I shall devour her....."
Eclipse's seven heads shot forward at super sonic speeds. Erza jumped into the air just missing Eclipse's heads and ran up her neck as the heads obliterated the earth below. Erza ran along the Hydra's body, intending to confuse Eclipse.
But Eclipse's dark scales gave off a darkening aura, and massive snakes slithered out from under Eclipse's scales and slithered at Erza in a blur of speed.
Erza sliced the snakes to pieces with her blades, but the snakes kept on coming, more and more large serpents emerging from beneath Eclipse's scales, hissing with mercilless hunger.
"I will not fall here!!" Shouted Erza as obliterated each and every serpent that came at her. Suddenly Erza noticed a shadow in her periphrial vision and blocked just in time as Noiress swung her black blade at Erza.
The two woman clashed and sprinted around Eclipse's scaly neck, as the hydra's other six heads rose and stared at Erza aggressively. The massive heads came at Erza like lightning. Erza jumped into the air and landed on the Hydra's third head.
Noiress jumped onto another head which sped towards the other head quickly and she jumped onto Erza's area, swinging her sword with unconcealed malice. Erza blocked with both her swords, both of which suddenly shattered against Noiress's superiour blow.
Erza leapt aside, throwing back her now useless hilts and requipping into her Armadura Fairy.
Erza charged energy into her new blades and charged at Noiress, yelling. Noiress smiled and knocked both blades aside easily, causing a powerful shockwave to erupt all around the mass of snaky scaly heads that were rising into the air and hissing angrilly.
Noiress and Erza clashed and pushed against each other, determindly holding each other's ground.
"You should not have spoken that you knew of my spy status..." said Noiress. "Had you held your tongue, I would have kept up the simple ruse as Sabertooth's lacky for just a bit longer....and you would have lived...only the Railgun would have needed to suffer."
"What do you plan on doing with Mikoto!?" shouted Erza. "What have you been doing to her!!? Have you been drugging her!?"
"What a good question." said Noiress. "To be quite honest.....I don't know what Gensei's been doing to induce her power shift...our only role has been to help manipulate the matches to induce her into the right mental state...and to ensure that Fright Face participated in the games this year...other then that, you will have to ask Gensei."
Noiress knocked Erza back, and she fell off the Hydra's head as Eclipse's 4th head opened her mouth and got ready to catch Erza in her massive fanged jaws.
Erza gave a cry and requipped back into her Black Wing armor. Erza spread her armor's wings wide and flew away right before the massive snake jaws closed over the area she had been in before. Erza soared back at Noiress and requipped once more.
This time she requipped in a strange robe like armor with pauldrons on each shoulder decorated to look like golden roaring lions. A large white sash looped over her head and trailed behind her. In her right hand was a long large halberd.
"Oh my!!" said Noiress. "So this is the rumored Nakagami Armor I have heard so much about from the previous Grand Magic Games...the armor that allows you to bend the laws of magic...!!"
"You will not hurt Mikoto again you filthy snake!!" Shouted Erza. "NAKAGAMI STARLIGHT!!!!!!"
Erza Scarlett, the toughest woman in Fairy Tail, charged Noiress Blackout, The third strongest mage in Hydra Head. The halberd and the black blade clashed together in a burst of violent orange sparks, a shockwave enimated from the two blades that was so intense, it could be felt all around Crocus.
Miles away, Diablo Etwatia looked back in the direction of Domus Flau, feeling the shockwave of power that eminated from it. "So.....you have revealed yourself Blackout....no matter....the plan is nearing completion..."
Back in the stadium, Noiress and Erza slammed their blades against each other in an utter display of power. Erza yelling out an intimidating battle cry as Noiress smiled with blood lust.
Suddenly, a large bell rang out...a bell that seemed to ring in everyone's heads as well as their ears. Noiress looked up at the sky. "It seems my time is up....very well...I will have to dissapear. Diablo is ready....Hopefully that Jellal hasn't interfered too much."
"WAIT!!" shouted Erza stabbing her halberd forwards at amazing speed. But Noiress leapt out of the way easily.
"Eclipse!! We're leaving!!"
"Yes master." said Eclipse in her ancient voice. One of Eclipse's heads opened her mouth and swalowed Noiress. There was a massive blast of smoke and the Hydra dissapeared.
Erza fell to Earth from over 600 feet in the air and landed skillfully on her feet, using her immense durability to avoid breaking her legs.
Erza stared hard through the smoke.....but Noiress Blackout...the woman who had infiltrated Sabertooth had dissapeared.
Meanwhile in a dark room somewhere in Crocus, Gensei Kihara stood watching a wall covered in computer screens showing Domus Flau. He smiled sinisterly. "She played her role well...we are now ready for the final step..."
Behind Gensei stood Night Reveler who was busy spinning his detached head on his finger like a basketball. "My my, you have me excited to see the little Thunder Dragon make her shift!"
"It's not the shift to the god's level that makes one excited." said Gensei. "It's when she actually reaches it that gains the ultimate excitement....and she will reach it....and when she finally reaches it....."
Gensei's eyes widened with utter sinister purpose. "Then I will have finally reached the peak of Perfection."
The Storm before The Hurricane....
10:00 at night. Back Alleys of Crocus
Accelerator, Jellal, and Touma were walking down a back alley area near the center of the city. They had been searching hours for Diablo Etwatia. But apparently Diablo didn't want to be bothered with them anymore, because he did not even show a single bloodstained spike.
"Keh!" spat Accelerator. "Why are we even bothering anymore? We already know the spy was that Noiress Blackout woman. Why are we still looking?"
"Because there is still something that I find odd about all this." said Jellal. "For one thing, Noiress was way too forward on revealing who she really was. According to witnesses, Noiress revealed herself the moment Erza asked if she was a part of Hydra Head, even though she could have simply denied any knowlege of it. It was as if she thought she was no longer needed as a spy....that means they have something bigger coming up."
"Whatever they want..." said Touma. "It has something to do with Mikoto..."
"Yeah.." said Jellal looking deep in thought. "It does...."
Touma eyed Jellal carefully. "Hey Jellal.....do you have a thing for Erza?"
Jellal suddenly turned slightly red. "Wh-what? Who told you that?"
"Nobody....it's just whenever you talk about Erza, you get this sort of look on your face....."
"Hehehe.." chuckled Accelerator. "If someone as dense as Kamijou is noticing then it must be pretty obvious."
"Well...I..." Jellal stuttered. "You see....umm....what about you Touma?"
"Huh?" said Touma. "Since when has this been about me!? Besides, I don't know a girl who would want to go out with an unlucky schmuck like me."
This time, Accelerator started laughing hard. "HAHAHAHA!! That's rich!! You really are as dense as they say!!"
"Wh-what are you talking about!?" said Touma.
"Havent you noticed a girl acting oddly around you at all?" said Jellal with a raised eyebrow. "Like for example, does she go red or something.....?"
"Well now that you mention it.." said Touma. "Mikoto does that a lot.....I figured that it must have been the heat or something....or maybe she was getting a bad fever..."
This time Jellal started chuckling. "My...you are dense."1
"Would you people just stop calling me dense and tell me what the heck is going on!?" said Touma. "Wait.....you're not actually suggesting that Mikoto actually...."
"And finally, the brain of wonder comes to a revelation." said Accelerator. "What else would we be suggesting?"
"Er...well.....it's just that...I also kinda..." Touma went red and immediately tried to change the subject. "Well what are going to do now huh? Keep looking for Diablo?"
"No.." said Jellal. "If Diablo doesn't want to be bothered for us...then we won't find him, he's more efficient then Zeref when it comes to concieling himself.....Instead, let's try an easier target....and I think I know just where to find his type."
Jellal nodded over to a strange looking bar entrance in the alley way which had a sign designed to look like a jovial harlequin. The sign said, "The Drinking Clown."
"Let me guess." spat Accelerator. "Night Reveler....am I right?"
"Meredy is never off with this stuff." said Jellal. "Well.....let's get a drink shall we?"
Jellal pushed open the door of the bar and the threesome piled in.
The bar was perhaps the oddest place that any of them had ever seen. In fact, it was almost more of a carnival then a bar. In the corner there was a carousel with creepy looking fanged horses. the ceiling was decorated with red and white stripes like a circus tent. and strange colorful lights lined the walls.
The bar tender area was empty except for a cloaked figure with a white faceless mask that only had two round eyeholes. The figure looked at the threesome that had just entered. "Hello wandering travelers!! Care to take a look at some of my specials? Number one is the average man!! Now I know it's pretty repulsive....I mean just look at it!! Physically unremarkable, it instead possesses a deformed set of values. Notice the hideously bloated sense of humanity's importance. Also note the club-footed social conscience and the withered optimism. It's certainly not for the squeamish, is it? Most repulsive of all, are its frail and useless notions of order and sanity. I mean, put even one bit of weight on it's idiotic sense of order and the man snaps into a billion pieces!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"2
"Jeez." said Accelerator. "And they say I'm crazy."
"Night Reveler." said Jellal. "You can put away your disguise. We know it's you..."
There was a massive puff of smoke and confetti and the harlequin known as Night Reveler appeared where the cloaked man had been previously. "Bravo!! Bravo!! You saw through my amazing disguise!! Now how about a drink to celebrate the event!!! Might I introduce our second item on the menu!! A wonderful Night Reveler original! A good ol' fashioned joke!! So a guy goes into a hospital..."
Jellal took Night Reveler by the collar. "We're not here to play your games clown!! We want information..."
"Yeah yeah!! You and your stupid search for the truth!!" said Night Reveler waving his hand dismissively. "However, how can any of us hope to find the truth if we can't first laugh at all the falseness in this world!! Like this joke for example. A man walks into a hospital, his daughter has just given birth. He walks over to the doctor and goes....'hey doctor!! I'm ever so worried, are my grandchild and daughter okay?' The doctor looks at him and smiles. 'Don't worry, your daughter's fine, she gave birth to healthy baby boy!' Overjoyed, the man walks into the hospital room, only to find the bed empty and the boy gone. The doctor walks over to the man and says, 'April Fools!! Your daughter is dead and her baby was born without arms!' HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"1
"You call that a joke!?" said Touma disgusted. "That was just sick!"
"Sick like me!" said Night Reveler as his head spun around on his neck like a psycho owl. "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
Jellal slammed Night Reveler against the bar table as his body began to glow with magic power. "I'm warning you Night Reveler.....I'm not the type to bargain with sickos like you....."
"Alright alright." Night Reveler gave an overdramatic sigh. "I suppose you want information on our entire plan....BUT YOU'LL HAVE TO CATCH ME FIRST!!!!!!!!!"
Night Reveler suddenly kicked Jellal in the face and did an acrobatic flip over Accelerator and Touma's heads. He kicked open the door of the bar and ran down the street laughing. "You're it! You're it!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!"
"After him!!" Shouted Jellal. Jellal, Touma, and Accelerator ran outside into the alleyway. They ran through the alley way and turned a corner to find Night Reveler just standing there, his body looking sinisterly dark against the moonlight.
"Hello pursuers...." said Night Reveler. "How about I spin you a yarn....a tale of most beautifull literature..... Once upon a time, there was a circus performer whose name remains forgotten...his life was normal until he met a man named Aleister Crowley.....this strange man brought the circus performer to his world where he injected him with the DNA of the man known as Diablo Etwatia....and that's when things turned...interesting.... Now after 800 years....I've never felt better!!!"
Night Reveler ripped the mask from his face to reveal the metal skull with sparking circuits and flesh. The eye sockets were engulfed in flames. "Now.....I reveal my TRUE self!!"
Night Reveler crossed his arms together and began to glow a darkish aura. "NIGHT GHOST OF THE YOKAI KING!!!!!!!!!"
A massive blast of swirling pitch black smoke surrounded Night Reveler, when the smoke cleared, a ferocious creature took it's place.
It's body was that of a ginormous pitch black centipede. It's top torso was a mass of black clawed arms. It had multiple moaning monstrous heads with glowing corpish eyesockets. On the top of it's body were five evil looking harlequin masks that had one ginoromous evil red eye burning inbetween the crown of masks.
"Now!!!" said the creature in a multitude of demonic voices from it's heads. "Your souls will belong to master Diablo!!!"
The creature's arms shot outwards and extended at Accelerator, Touma and Jellal, intending to grab them.
Touma held out his right hand in front of him, and the hands shattered into nothingness at his touch. Accelerator turned on his choker which had magically recharged 20 minutes over time. He dodged with blinding speed. Jellal was bathed in a golden aura and shot into the sky like a meteor creating seven magic circles in the sky.
Jellal landed behind Night Reveler's new monstrous form. "Now...be judged by the Seven Stars...."
A shower of golden meteors rained upon Night Reveler, causing him to roar in pain as he backed off from the powerful barrage. Accelerator shot into Night Reveler and put a hand againts Night Reveer's side. Night Reveler shot into the sky from Accelerator's vector power, and landed on a house nearby, completely demolishing it. Accelerator then stomped the ground hard with his foot and the earth erupted in a tremendous earthquake, knocking Night Reveler back.
Jellal shot at Night Reveler, his body glowing in a great light, he swiped his arm and a several arrows made of pure heavenly light shot at Night Reveler, stabbing right into Night Reveler's many moaning faces.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" laughed Night Reveler psychotically. "Painful but ticklish!!!"
"Shut up you stupid clown!!" Shouted Accelerator kicking Night Reveler in the side and causing the mutant monster centapede to fly through several more houses.
The monstrous horror rose up from the wreckage as the massive red eye began to glow with an eirie light. "BLACK LIGHT OF THE YOKAI KING!!!!"
A massive black energy blast shot at the three fighters, plowing a gouge in the ground below as it sailed towards it's intended targets. Touma ran forwards and punched the energy blast with Imagine Breaker...however instead of shattering into nothing, the blast rammed at Touma's right hand, continuosly creating more energy everytime Imagine Breaker negated it. Touma pushed against the blast hard, gritting his teeth. "Crap!!! This blast is almost as powerful as Index when she's in John's Pen mode..... I can't hold it back forever....!"
Jellal crouched downwards and began to reverbrate a powerful magic aura. Above him the clouds swirled into a twister as magic energy gathered into that spot. Jellal pointed two fingers downwards and slowly moved the fingers upwards. "True Heavenly Body Magic: Sema..."
Once more, the ginormous meteor of light formed in the sky and fell towards Night Reveler, lighting up the entire night sky as it approached.
Night Reveler stopped firing his energy blast and looked into the sky. "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! SO THE END APPROACHES!!! HAHAHAHA!!!"
The massive meteor crashed into Night Reveler creating an explosion of intense blinding light, and a shockwave that could be felt for miles...when the smoke cleared. Night Reveler was back to his original harlequin form, lying in a massive smoking crater, his dented metal skull sparking as the magic circles on his head glowed feebly. "Hehehee.....*Koff* *Koff*....did someone get the license plate on that meteor....?"
Jellal jumped down into the crater and walked right over to where Night Reveler lay..."Now....tell me...what has Hydra Head have planned.....?"
Night Reveler gave another coughing wheezing laugh. "Anyone see that weirdo Wizard Saint Jellal yet? He may look like an idiot and smell like an idiot.....but don't let that fool you....he really is an idiot!! HEhehehe....*koff* *koff*....."
Jellal stomped a foot on Night Reveler's metal skull. "I thought I told you before...I'm not going to play your games.....now answer me!!"
"Hehehe...You really are clueless aren't you....? said Night Reveler. "Don't you get it...? It's already begun....tommorow begins the end of the King's rule....the new age begins.....the age of the Hydra...hehehehe...."3
"What's already begun!?" said Jellal. "TELL ME!!"
"Sorry..."Wheezed Night Reveler. "Mr. Harrison Ford isn't here right now.....*koff* *koff*....I think he's frozen in carbonite.....in some cheesy Sci Fi movie....hehehe.....he....hehe...he...."
The light in Night Reveler's sockets dissapeared. And the 20th ranked mage in Hydra Head, the one who could ressurect 5 souls a year...master of illusions and tricks... the most mentally unhinged mage in Hydra Head moved no more.1
Back at the hotel....on the balcony. 12:00 midnight.
Mikoto sat atop the balcony on the lawn chair. However, this time she wasn't relaxing or looking up at the stars....she was busy clenching her fists as cold sweat came down her forhead....a few black sparks jumped from her bangs... Sitting on her lap was Elli, who looked extremely worried.
"Mikoto...you don't look good at all..."
"It's alright..." said Mikoto gritting her teeth. "I'll be fine....this is nothing....I've felt worse..."
"But what if the pain doesn't stop tommorow....?" said Elli. "You know who they say you're fighting tomorrow right?"
"Yeah....Nicole...." said Mikoto. "But I'll be fine...."
"Please, don't overextend yourself like this!" pleaded Elli. "She's going to try and kill you-"
Before Elli could finish her sentence, Mikoto picked her up and hugged her. Elli felt speechless...the hug was warm and comforting.....as if all her troubles were wiped away by that single hug.
"I'm not going to die....." said Mikoto. "I promise...okay?"
Elli's eyes filled with tears and she nodded. "Y-yeah....."
Mikoto looked up at the night sky. "I don't know what it is....but something tells me tommorow is going to be an important day for all of us....."
"You want to know something....?" said Elli. "Every day with you has already been very important to me..."
Mikoto smiled. Her pain seemed to go down a bit as she hugged the little cat. "You know...when these games are over, how about I take you to Academy City....and we find that treasure you were searching so long for..?"
Elli's face lit up with joy. "You mean it?!"
"Yep.....I mean it."
Elli hugged Mikoto further. "Cross your heart?"
Mikoto laughed. "Yeah....cross my heart..."
Mikoto Misaka vs Nicole Mavros...Battle To The Death.
The 4th day of the Grand Magic Games was a well anticipated one....children and their families lined the streets, buying different sorts of souveniers, most of them being either stuffed versions of Mato the mascot, or collectable items based off the most popular contestants (Kuroko bought a Mikoto figurine with an oddly drooling look on her face.)
By the time Mikoto reached the stadium, she swore it must have been overcrowded. In fact, she noticed that there seemed to be an unusual amount of attention focused on her...and she knew why. The match between her and Nicole Mavros was definitely a given this time. Mikoto could practically feel the tension building in her.
"One thing I don't understand though..." said Mikoto. "Why has there only been one battle event each day.....I heard that the last games had 4 battle events total so that every guild would participate."
"It was a popularity issue." said Gray. "Everyone was tired of having to wait so long to get to their favorite fight, so they changed the rules.....not surprising, considering the rules change almost every year. Though last year's set up was a little more fair in my opinion..."
The points currently stood thus.
Fairy Tail and Cross Arcana were tied with 70 points in 1st place
Sabertooth was sitting with 45 points in 2nd place
Mermaid Heel and Lamia Scale were tied for 40 points in 3rd place
In 4th place was Blue Pegasus with 30 points
In 5th was Fright Face with 20 points.
FInally in last place was Quatro Cerberus in last place with 15 points. The only points they had earned having been during the games having been during the Music Master Relay.
Mikoto looked over at the Sabertooth end of the stands. They had already gotten a new reserve member to take Noiress Blackout's place. However she couldn't quite see who it was. And she didn't bother trying to find out.....because at that moment, somebody surprising walked into Team Fairy Tail's area. It was Madam Darkness, master of Fright Face.
Mikoto and the rest of team Fairy Tail whirled around to look at this strange sight, it wasn't often that somebody from another guild came into an opposing guild's stands.
"Oh my..." said Madam Darkness in a silky voice. "I'm sorry, it appears I might be gate crashing a little pregame celebration...."
"What do you want?" said Erza cautiously. "You're not supposed to be here....."
"Oh, I just came to wish Ms. Misaka luck before things got messy....." said Madam Darkness her eyes glowing menacingly despite her silky voice. "After all....I may not get the chance after Nicole....mmhmm....you know how hungry she is for death at the moment..."
"Don't get a swelled head!!" said Gray. "We've all seen her take bigger enemies then your crew...so get off your high horse and take a few steps back."
"Yeah!!" said Natsu. "Fairy Tail's going to whoop you so hard, you're going to look just like your guild name!!"
Madam Darkness merely smiled. "Very well....keep thinking that you have a chance.....it'll make the battle more enjoyable...speaking of which, I don't think we'll have to wait long for the fight....."
"What do you mean by that..?" said Erza narrowing her eyes. "What did you do?!"
"I believe he will clear things up...." said Madam Darkness pointing up at the Announcer's podium.
"Hehem!!" The Announcer cleared his throat, as if on cue. "I'm sorry to say that the surprise event for today is facing some sort of technical difficulties!! So until the issues can be fixed...we will do the battle event first!!"
"Ahhh....sabotage..." said Madam Darkness. "What a glorious thing it is...I would have been patient....but..." Madam Darkness's eyes moved over to Mikoto. "I do so enjoy death."
Madam Darkness walked off into the stands chuckling to herself as the rest of Team Fairy Tail shook with anger.
"UUUURRRRAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" Natsu shouted. "Forget me vs Rogue!! I wanna take her and whoop her till she cries!!!!!! GRRAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!"
Mikoto merely stared after Madam Darkness, not knowing what to think.....
"And now we will announce the 4th battle event matchup!!" shouted the announcer. "Mikoto Misaka vs Nicole Mavros!!"
"No surprise there..." said Mikoto.
Mikoto turned to go down to the stadium, but before she went, Natsu called out. "Hey! Mikoto!!"
Mikoto turned to look at Natsu. Natsu had his hand pointed into the air, his fingers forming an L shape. Mikoto knew what that meant....it meant that no matter where she would be...her friends would be watching her.....even to the very end.
Mikoto nodded and grinned. She thrust her hand up and made the same sign. "Same here."
Mikoto walked down to the stadium. With every step, her heart seemed play a slightly growing drumbeat....
Nicole Mavros was already waiting for her. Mikoto could sense the ever growing sense of furious malice...the desire for revenge....within Nicole.
"Kabo..." said Mato looking at the two combatants. "Kabo.....this.....ulp." apparently he could feel the tension as well.
"Well ref?" said Nicole glaring at Mato. "Get on with it you blithering welp!!"
"V-very well!" said Mato stepping back from Nicole. "Are you too ready?"
"Obviously....." said Nicole.
Mikoto merely nodded, a few sparks jumped from her bangs in anticipation.
"Then....you may begin!!"
Nicole immediately smiled a bloodthirsty grin.....her arms became engulfed in ghoulish energy and formed into her Ghost Dragon Talons. "FINALLY!!!!!!!"
"DEATH BLOW OF THE GHOST DRAGON!!!!!!"
Nicole immediately jumped into the air, her right talons forming into a massive fist the size of a house. she brought it down at Mikoto with blinding speeds. But before the fist could hit Mikoto, two magnificent wings made of pure electricity blocked the ethereal fist and lighting coursed through Nicole's body causing her to fly back and create a massive crater 20 meters away.
Mikoto leapt forward, her wings spreading wide with magnificence, her fists were engulfed in intense electricity. "BULLET BARRAGE OF THE THUNDER DRAGON!!!!!!" Mikoto began punching at the speed of a gattling gun. From her fists, multiple giant fists of lightiing shot at Nicole and exploded on impact, causing a massive thunderbolt to shoot into the air from where Nicole was standing.
Suddenly, the dust parted and Nicole blasted through it, both her talons had morphed into two massive scythes. "ETHEREAL LOTUS!!!! REAPER'S DUAL DEATH!!!!!!!!!!"
However, Mikoto was ready, her wings had already formed themselves into two massive lightning swords in her hands. "SECRET ART!!! GREAT FLASHING LOTUS BLADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
MIkoto and and Nicole both swung their energy weapons at deadly speeds. The weapons clashed and smashed against each other in an incredible display of power, an earth shattering shockwave reverbrated from between them every second as they moved and clashed as two dragons determined to tear out the other's throat.
Mikoto and Nicole both jumped back from each other panting hard, their weapons reformed back into their Dragon Born abilities.
"Hehehehe...YES!!" said Nicole. "If I am to kill you...it must not be easy.....I must make you suffer....YES!!!"
"You're sick!!" growled Mikoto, her bursting, sparking wings beat angrilly against the wind. "What did my mother do to yours to make you like this!!?"
"You wouldn't understand!!!!" screamed Nicole furiously. "NO ONE EVER UNDERSTOOD!!!!!"1
Nicole screamed out furiously as her massive talons erupted and twisted until they grew extra massive and the the tips became extra sharp. "SECRET ART!!! PHANTOM SHREDDER OF THE GHOST DRAGON!!!!!!" Nicole launched herself at Mikoto at blinding speeds slicing quickly with her massive clawed energy talons.
MIkoto immediately jumped upwards, cracking the ground below her as she kicked off, the moment she came right above Nicole she puffed up her cheeks. "ROAR OF THE THUNDER DRAGON!!!!!!!!"
A massive twister of lighting blasted out of Mikoto's mouth and plowed Nicole into the ground. The force of the blow caused the earth around it to erupt with power. Nearby some of the lower areas of the stands shattered and crumbled, causing many of the spectators in the front rows to run back up the stands in slight panic.
Nicole screamed and lashed out her massive talons, dissapating the roar attack as burns smoked on her shoulders. Nicole jumped up at Mikoto as she was still in the air and grabbed her with one of her talons.
"GHOULISH PILEDRIVER OF THE GHOST DRAGON!!!!" Nicole thrusted her massive taloned fist which held Mikoto into the ground and the ghostly talons stretched further and further as Mikoto was crushed and smashed against the ground, creating a gouge trail in the earth as she was suddenly smashed against the other end of the stadium.
As Mikoto struggeled against the massive talons that pushed her against the wall she concentrated all her magic energy and esper power. "SECRET ART: WING BRIGADE OF THE DRAGON BORN!!!!!"
Mikoto's electric wings dissapated into an army of multiple miniature dragons made of pure lightning. The dragons all soared at blinding speeds towards Nicole, each one spitting sparks out of it's mouth in electrified fury.
There was a massive explosion of sparks, and the the talons let go of Mikoto as her wings reformed themselves. Mikoto looked hard at the dust cloud.....searching for any sign of Nicole.
Suddenly, the ground below her feet erupted and Nicole burst through the earth, her talons ripping upwards in a furious uppercut that blasted Mikoto into the air.
"HAHAHAHAHA!!!!" Nicole laughed as she grabbed Mikoto in her talons and threw her 50 meters into the dirt, creating a massive crater in the center of the stadium. Nicole spread her talons out in front of her. "DOOMED SHACKLES OF THE GHOST DRAGON!!!!!!!!!"
The ghostly chains from Nicole's battle with Chelia shot out of her talon tips once more and pinned Mikoto to the ground. Her electric wings dissapeared as her magic energy began to dissapate.
"It's over....." said Nicole as she walked over to Mikoto, her right talon turning into a ghastly spear. "You can no longer fight.....And now I will take your head...." Nicole aimed her spear at Mikoto's heart. "Prepare to join the ghosts...Railgun."
Mikoto gritted her teeth as intense sparks jumped from her bangs. "It's not over yet!!!! RRRRRAAAAAAARRRRRRGGHHHH!!!!!!!"
Mikoto began to eminate a massive blast of electricity as she tore the ghostly chains from her. Nicole stepped back with a shocked expression.
"Impossible!!! Your magic energy should have been completely gone!!!"
"I'm not using magic..." Mikoto growled. "You forget Nicole.....I'm an esper as well...I don't need magic energy to use my esper powers...."
Mikoto took a small silver coin out of her pocket and aimed it on her thumb at Nicole. In a burst of sparks, the coin flew forward in a massive orange streak, leaving a sonic boom in it's wake as it shot at Nicole in the blink of an eye.
There was a massive explosion, and a dust cloud filled the air where Nicole was...but when the dust cleared, a grinning Nicole was standing there with a malicious look on her face, the burning melted coin was in between her teeth. Nicole spat out the melted metal with disdain. "HA!! What was that supposed to do!? I've taken faster moving projectiles on a Wednesday!"1
"That was only my 30% Railgun." said Mikoto taking out another coin. "This is what it's like, when I go 100%!!!"
Another sonic boom trailed by as another coin shot towards Nicole at several times the speed of sound. This time, the coin blasted against Nicole's torso, causing her to sail all the way into the other end of the stadium and crash in a deafening explosion.
Mikoto engulfed her hands in esper electricity and opened her mouth, immediately the electricity swirled into her mouth like a twister and she swallowed the electric energy. Mikoto's back gave off a spark and her massive electric Thunder Dragon wings reformed themselves in a burst of power.
"Impossible!!!" said Nicole as she emerged from the rubble. "How can you eat your own lightning!?"
"Esper powers and Dragon Slayer Magic are both seperate from each other." said Mikoto. "Even though my esper powers combine with my magic constantly to make it abnormaly powerful.....I can still devour my esper powers to restore my own magic..."
Nicole began to chuckle. "Heheheh.....of course...I should have suspected you would have such a trick up your sleeve....but then again...I have my own set of tricks....."
Nicole took out what looked like a small vial of purple liquid. "Ghost Dragon's...unlike normal dragons, don't normaly devour their own element.....because of this, they can survive long periods of time without devouring any souls...however, when we do happen to eat our element....." Nicole opened the vile, from it, a moaning suffering sound could be heard.
"WE CAN ENTER DRAGON FORCE AS EASILY AS YOU CAN BLINK!!!!" Nicole took the vial and swallowed the souls within. Immediately, the entire battlefield began to tremble, in the stands, people began panicking again, as the intensity of magic aura was causing a tremendous earthquake.
Nicole's talons dissapeared. Her shoulders suddenly glowed with purplish hate and massive ghost tendrils blasted outwards. Each of the two tendrils grew extremely large on the ends and morphed into ginormous fanged jaws with glowing purple eyes. The fanged jaws began to cackle sinisterly as the sky seemed to darken with the force of Nicole's Dragon Force.
"Wh-what!?" said Mikoto stepping back, her eyes wide. "This is.....Dragon Force!?"
"Hehehehe....." Nicole chuckled. "I see....you've never entered Dragon Force before....have you? You see, unlike when normal Dragon Slayers enter Dragon Force, we Dragon Borns gain a little bonus when we enter that state.....the nature of our ability changes to an extent that allows us to equal that of the strongest dragon...My Dragon Force ability is known as Deathly Corpse Jaws.....fitting, as I am about to devour you!!!!"
The massive jaws of energy shot forward like vipers. They came at Mikoto so fast that she wasn't even able to dodge or block with her wings. The jaws bit into both her arms and smashed her to the ground so hard, that Mikoto actually coughed up a splurt of blood. The jaws then threw her into the air as Nicole puffed up her cheeks.
"ROAR OF THE GHOST DRAGON!!!!!!"
Mikoto cried out with pain as the twister of tortured souls blasted into her, slicing bleeding cuts into her sides and tearing her clothes slightly. Mikoto fell to earth and rolled and tumbled along the ground till she came to Nicole who raised her foot and stomped right on Mikoto's chest, causing the ground to erupt around her.
"How DARE you!!" growled Nicole as she repeatedly stomped on Mikoto and her Deathly Corpse Jaws continued to cackle. "How DARE you think that you had a chance against me!!! Thundarixx will now pay for all her insolence against my mother.....I will be sure to send her your severed head when I am through humiliating you!!!"
Nicole stomped on Mikoto again who coughed up more blood. Mikoto's vision was blurred she looked around beneath her half closed eyes....but could see nothing....
So this is it...Thought Mikoto....I'm going to die here....But there was so much I still needed to do....I never got to tell that idiot Kamijou how I felt.....and Elli...I never got to bring you to see that treasure...I'm sorry...
That was when Mikoto's vision cleared just enough to see the stands where Fairy Tail all stood. And what she saw.....made her eyes widen.... Everyone...Elli, Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Master Markarov, everyone.....they all had their hands raised in the trademark L shape....
No matter where you are.....we're always watching you...and we believe in you....
"That's right..." muttered Mikoto. "I can't give up now....NOT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!"
Mikoto roared with power as her wings grew even larger and her body was engulfed in a blast of tremendous lightning. She grabbed the stunned Nicole's foot on her chest and threw her high into the sky. Mikoto then pushed off the ground and took out a third coin.
"SECRET ART!!!! RAILGUN METEOR OF THE THUNDER DRAGON!!!!!!!!"
In a blast of sparks the coin flew forward and turned into a massive ginormous dragon made completely out of lightning, that soared towards Nicole at super sonic speeds. A massive explosion lit up all of Domus Flau as the dragon collided with Nicole Mavros.2
When the smoke cleared, Nicole Mavros fell to earth until she created a sickening crater near the center of the stadium. She got out of the crater, blood dripping down her lips and her arms. "YOU INSOLENT LITTLE.....RRRAAAARRGGGGGHHHHHh!!!!!!!"
"Angry now are you....?" said Mikoto. "Well you're nowhere near as pissed as I am..." Mikoto reached into her pocket.....but she didn't pull out a coin this time. What she had pulled out was a small fragment of golden metal. The metal piece was all that Mikoto had left of the sword Oberon.....(for those of you who don't know about Oberon, Mikoto used it to hold back Dravis in the second book)
Mikoto looked at the piece of metal and then chomped into it....and ate it. Immediately an intense blast of lightning surrounded Mikoto and the earth vibrated with another immense earthquake as Mikoto's power began to rise. Mikoto's wings suddenly solidified until they became feathered silver sparking angel's wings, which then separted into six wings total....The massive six sparking angel wings spread out accompanied by a massive powerful shockwave.
"IMPOSSIBLE!!!" shouted Nicole. "HOW ARE YOU ENTERING DRAGON FORCE!!!??"
Mikoto's wings spread out further even more intimidating. "This is MY Dragon Force Ability.....Thundering Arc Angel.... and here's a little taste of what it can do!!!!!"
"SECRET ART!!!!!!!! ANGEL BLIGHT OF THE THUNDER DRAGON!!!!!!!!"
Mikoto's wings suddenly glowed a blinding bright white light that rivaled that of the sun. And a barrage of electricity blasted out from the wings like a tidalwave of energy.
The energy engulfed Nicole Mavros in a massive display of power. When the light cleared. Nicole was on her knees panting. However, her Deathly Corpse Jaws were still cackling with power as they seemed to leer at Mikoto despite her sudden power boost.
"Hehehehehehehe....." Nicole began to laugh.
"What's so funny?" said Mikoto.
"You know...they say that when two Dragon Borns clash when in Dragon Force...." said Nicole. "That they grow to understand each other more....Aren't you curious to see what happens?"
Mikoto engulfed her fists in violently powerful lightning. "Well then...let's see."
Nicole engulfed her fists in powerful masses of swirling phantom-like energy. "Don't hold back....."
"SECRET ART: RIGHTEOUS BLOW OF THE THUNDER DRAGON!!!!"
"SECRET ART: PHANTASMIC CRASH OF THE GHOST DRAGON!!!!!"
As the two Dragon Borns connected their fists, a blinding light erupted in the entire stadium as the twosome were swallowed by a glowing enlargening energy sphere.1
All of the spectators watched with complete and utter awe as the power blasted apart the very air.
Mikoto and Nicole's vision went absolutely black....
Nicole opened her eyes....she was no longer in the stadium...instead she was hanging in the sky looking over a large range of snow topped mountains lined with caves.
"What...is this....?" murmured Nicole. "What's happening...is this the effect of Dragon Force....?"
Nicole soared over a cave where she hung there and watched. Suddenly a massive dark blue dragon emerged from the cave. It's scales seemed to eminate a dark ghastly aura, it's eyes were dark like Nicole's and it spines red tipped. Nicole knew that dragon.....it was her mother Phasmaticana
"Mother!..." said Nicole. But as this was merely an image of the past....Phasmaticana did not see or hear her daughter.
Suddenly there were massive wing beats that could be heard coming from the sky. The golden dragon known as Thundaarix landed on the rocky outcropping next to the cave.... Thundaarix was obviously furious about something, her scales eminated intense arcs of lighting.
"Phasmaticana!!" roared Thundaarix. "What have you done!!? Is what I heard correct!!? Did you make an attempt Misuzu Misaka's life!?"
Phasmaticana growled ferociously at Thundaarix. "It was within my right Thundaarix....after your betrayal of my trust.....the unborn child within her must not be born!!"
"What!?" said Thundaarix. "What are you talking about!!?"
"The prophecy spoke of a Dragon Born that would save both our worlds from Dravis...." said Phasmaticana. "My daughter was supposed to be the one to save all of humanity.....yet you have gone and blessed the womb of that...that thing!!"
"You and I both know that the prophecy spoke of one who bears both the aspects of science and magic within her...." said Thundaarix. "It is yet to be known whether either our offspring fit that profile.....you're being irrational!!"
"IRRATIONAL!!!" Phasmaticana roared furiously. "HOW DARE YOU!!! I AM EONS OLDER THEN YOU THUNDAARIX!!! WHO SAVED YOU WHEN DRAVIS HIMSELF ATTEMPTED TO DEVOUR YOU!!!??"
"You did..." said Thundaarix. "But that does not excuse attempted murder!!!"
Phasmaticana lashed her talons out suddenly at Thundaarix's side. Thundaarix growled in pain as she backed away from Phasmaticana, her side bleeding. Immediately another set of wing beats were heard and a large red dragon landed in front of Thundaarix, growling at Phasmaticana ferociously.
"Phasmaticana!!" growled the red dragon. "Why would you blatantly attack one of your own!!?"
"Stand aside Igneel!!" growled Phasmaticana. "This is not your quarrel!!"
"It became my quarrel when you maimed one of our comrades..." said Igneel snorting a blast of flame from his nostrils. "Now away with you!!"
Phasmaticana growled ferrally and backed back into her cave. "Hear me Thundaarix....one day your daughter will feel my wrath...when my child grows strong....she will be your damning darkness...!!"
Smoke suddenly obscured Nicole's vision as the dream suddenly dissolved. Nicole was surprised to find that tears were filling her eys. So this is what truly happened...this is why she had been pursuing the Railgun's death for so long...What had she become?

Back in Domus Flau, the giant sphere of energy was slowly condensing. The massive blast of energy suddenly dissapated into a ginormous dust cloud....
"Wh-who won!?" said the announcer, his face covered in sweat and completely red from adrenaline. "Who!?"
Back in the Fairy Tail area of the stands....Lucy was on her feet, Elli was on her shoulder also trying to get a good look.
"I think I see something..." said Lucy. "It looks like somebody's still standing and someone else is down....."
"Mikoto..." Elli murmured.
Down in Team Fairy Tail however, there was one particular Fire Dragon Slayer whose eyesight stood above the rest. Natsu's eyes suddenly widened as he could see the one still standing....and the one who was down.
"YYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Shouted Natsu pumping his fists into the air. "MIKOTO'S STILL STANDING!!! SHE WON!!!!!! SHE WON!!!!!!!!"
The rest of Fairy Tail paused for a moment as if still not sure what was happening. Then a sudden roar came out as the entire guild screamed out at once. Everyone was on their feet jumping for joy. Elli became so overjoyed that she kissed Panther Lilly straight on the cheek in joy, which resulted in Lilly going absolutely steamy red and fainting on the spot.1
Back in the stadium....Mikoto stood panting hard, her legs felt like lead. She could barely stand as she awkwardly stumbled towards Nicole Mavros who lay only 5 ft away from her. Mikoto fell to her knees next to Nicole.
Nicole's eyes were streaming with tears. "You.....did you see?"
Mikoto nodded. "I saw everything..."
"Heh....all my life...I was told to kill you...now.....I don't know what to do..."
"I'll tell you what you can do...." said Mikoto. "You can stop living for vengeance....and you can start living for your friends...."
"I don't have friends....." said Nicole. "All I have is Maverick.....we're both alone...."
Mikoto held out her hand to Nicole. "Not anymore...."
Nicole smiled....and for the first time ever... the smile was a genuine happy smile.....she reached her hand out for Mikoto's.
Suddenly Mikoto convulsed and screamed with pain. Black sparks began shooting out of her body violently.
"Mikoto!?" Nicole struggeled to her knees. "What's wrong!!? MIKOTO!!?"
Mikoto screamed as pain shook her entire being. Suddenly a powerful blast of black lightning shot from her body into the sky, creating a shock wave so powerful, that all the clouds in the sky blasted apart.
Mikoto's expression suddenly turned blank as a massively powerful tornado of black lightning swirled around her. Her left eye turned completely black while her right eye turned completely black except for one bright round pupil as white as the moon itself. Twin black tendrils with black polygons on the ends grew out of Mikoto's hair and whipped around, trailing black electricity. Massive black Thunder Dragon wings blasted outwards as Mikoto walked around in an absolute daze.
"Wh-what's happening!!?" exclaimed the announcer. "Yajima! Are you seeing this!!?"
Yajima's mouth was opened wide with amazement. "Wh-what kind of power am I feeling!?"
"MIKOTO!!!" Team Fairy Tail jumped out of the stands and ran to their friend. Calling out her name....the name that Mikoto Misaka seemed to not hear.
Mikoto looked at her friends.....her blank staring eyes unknowing....unfeeling. A massive shockwave of black lightning blasted outwards from her feet, and the entire stadium erupted into a blast of rubble. A massive fissure opened up in the center of Domus Flau and spread all the way along the stands until they entire stadium was split in half. Team Fairy Tail was knocked back as black lightning tore through the walls and Mikoto walked out.....blank and unfeeling...leaving behind a chaotic field of destruction.
"MIKOTO!!!!" Natsu shouted hitting his fist against the ground. "DARN IT!!!!! IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!!!!"
Suddenly, in the center of the entire stadium a massive pit of magma opened up and in a twister of molten rock, three figures appeared. It was Diablo Etwatia, Noiress Blackout, and Aqualas....the three strongest mages in Hydra Head.
"Greetings!!!" Diablo's ethereal demonic voice boomed across the wrecked stadium. "As you have just witnessed, The one known as Mikoto Misaka has entered what is known as a Level 6 shift!!! This is completely normal.....For us....You see, we have watched this city for ages....and we have felt like that it deserves a proper greeting from all of us at Hydra Head...But in order for our greeting to work.....we needed the paranormal energy emitted by both that of an esper and a powerful mage...otherwise...."
Diablo pulled out the old scroll that Vinum had given him. "This wouldn't have worked.....not without the required energy that now fills your town...thanks to the Railgun.."
"Quite a delicious speech Diablo." said Noiress. "But don't you think it's time to show them what are efforts were working towards...?"
"Indeed." said Diablo, his red eyes glowing with flames. Diablo opened the dusty scroll and began to read from it. Now let it be known that this text is written in the ancient language of Dravis himself....so I will translate Diablo's words.
"Death by the bones that once razed this land
Return to the dry skies and the dry land
The creatures who once flew and the creatures who once devoured
let the souls who have lived here in torment from eons past return

The earth began to rumble and out of the ground burst a massive clawed talon. A humungous dragon burst from the rubble, it's eyes glowed purple with a malice it had not revealed in life. it's rotten looking zombified scales gleamed with death and when the creature opened it's mouth, a horrid stench filled the entire area.
The earth rumbled some more and several hundred more zombified dragons pushed themselves out of the ground. Soon, the stadium was crawling with ginormous dragons, all with rotting scales and shadowy auras, determined to tear apart everything in their path.
"Now!!" said Diablo. "Let the invasion of Crocus.....BEGIN!!!!!"
