Chapter 1 - Prologue

Tezariah just finished writing the last letter to the magic circle. It took him 4 years, 8 months and 17 days to find all the materials for this latest experiment. Tezariah looked nervously at the finished magic circle and started chanting. His latest experiment started when he found an ancient book that contained records of magic that can alter time on a large scale, one that Tezariah could never imagine, even being the strongest wizard of his generation.

Having been crowned the strongest wizard and the title, The Great Wanderer in the past 70,000 years, Tezariah was a natural. In fact, too natural. He was curious by nature and wanted to discover all sorts of things. He was the purest form of what a wizard should be. That played a key role in his rise, as he conquered the world of magic in just 15 years. Now 18, Tezariah looked at new ways to develop magic. And it all came to this day.

He chanted gracefully with every word dictated clearly. Tezariah entered a state of calmness, one in which his body, mind, and soul were in unity. Tezariah felt great; he felt he would succeed. His heart beats louder every second as excitement starts to build up.

It started as a low hum, slowly turning into a strong light, the spell seems to activate. As Tezariah muttered the last words of the incantation, a strong suction force emerged. It pulled everything and anything to it swallowing everything. Tezariah of course, would not let himself be sucked. He activated spell after spell but to no avail. The suction only seems to grow stronger.

After exhausting all protective means, Tezariah had a weird idea. He felt that this suction was abnormal and there was something beyond it. Therefore, he decided to let go of all spell aside from a thick Mana Shield to protect him and dived into the suction. The suction force though was too rapid and Tezariah lost consciousness from the pull.

Tezariah woke up at a dark field, one that was littered with thousand of floating stuff. Some he knew as his stuff, some foreign. Curiously he reached out to one of the foreign objects. It was some sort of thin rectangular object with obvious buttons at the sides and holes at the top and bottom. He curiously started clicked the buttons and the object's glass screen opened. A picture of a woman appeared. Tezariah was about to touch the glass screen when...

"A curious fellow ey." A voice from behind Tezariah shocked him that he dropped the phone. He looked behind to find an old man standing. "Who are you?" ,Tezariah asked vigilantly. He slowly prepared his magic in case this man was hostile.

"What? You come into my territory and you ask me who I am?" ,rolling his eyes the old man changed into a man in his 30s. "You come barging into my territory, and here I thought it was another of those bastard but it was just a curious bug. Aiyaaaah, I'm really getting rusty. So what brings a curious bug to the my humble territory?"

Tezariah was shocked, the man changed from one form to another, from a child, to a woman to even a dead corpse. He could not understand anything about this being, but it only gave him excitement albeit the irritation from being called a "bug" by this creature.

"I want to learn more things. You know... Things wizard stuff and the world." Tezariah wondered how this creature would react to magic. Tezariah decided to cast a low-rank [Shock Bolt] but before it could take form, the old man snapped his fingers and the spell failed.

"WHAT!" Tezariah said. He was both appalled and amazed that his magic was negated for the first time in years. The old man sneered, "It's not nice to attack the host you know. Young people should really need to calm their blood. Now now now. If you want to learn more about wizard stuff, I can't help you. My... magic is complicated and can only be learned by special deities. On the other hand, if you want to learn about the world, I can help you learn." The old man looked at Tezariah with a weird look.

"Really!?" Tezariah looked at the old man with happiness in his eyes. Like an excited child once again, he was tempted. But experience taught him, some things are too good to be true and even though he liked to learn more stuff, he was vigilant.

With a sigh, the old man stared at Tezariah. "Maybe it was really fated. Those bastards were right once again. Goddamn those divinations." Tezariah curiously listened to the grumbling of the old man and was about to ask a question...

"Off you go then. Oh, and don't forget, do your best to become stronger. Trust me, you'll need to be stronger. Fate is playing a shit show on you and you might die. Anyways, it was nice meeting you, young protector." Before Tezariah could say anything back, another suction from behind pulled him and before he knew it, he blacked out.
