Chapter 24 - The Path to become a God.

The old man and Tezariah appeared at a room. It appeared to be both illusory and reality changing color and design. Tezariah looked around in marvel. Even with the degree of his strength and knowledge, he found the room mysterious. There was a profound energy that filled the room that he could feel but not understand. It was a new sensation. It was until the old man coughed and interrupted him that he broke out from the marveling.

The old man once again waved his hands and a table with two chairs appeared in front of them. Before Tezariah could ask any questions...

"I know you have many questions, but let me just tell one thing first. If you know about the reason why the Baleforce Division has return, don't ask. If you want to ask about the energy filled in this room, it is my own personal mana. Finally, as to why I threw you in this planet, it was an actual mu gamble for the future of this world." the old man said. After a pause he continued, "After this world... was a keepsake."

Sadness filled the face of the old man for a second before returning to normal. Tezariah felt awkward. He decided to ask about the surrounding the room as to make the topic more lighter.

"Do you know what makes a god powerful and almighty? It is not divinity nor the amount of mana that we hold, rather... It is the type of mana we have. Do you know why there are lesser gods ascending now that before? It's because the types of mana back then were less specific than it is today. For someone to ascend and to truly to become a god, one must condense a true mana unique to their own. On the other divinity only supplies the energy needed to fuel this transformation. But if one has only divinity, you will never ascend. On the other hand, if have only formed your true mana, you have a 100% chance to ascend.",the old man explained.

Tezariah listened intently at the old man's explanation. After all one of goals was to ascend to godhood. The old man continued to explain the value of true mana. As one accumulates true mana, divinity is also produced slowly. Meanwhile, divinity can never produce a true mana because true mana is a product of one's comprehension, aura and experiences.

Thus this gave birth to the saying, "A single step to divinity, a million step to godhood." among the people. The old man then continued to explain the theories and knowledge he personally had about true mana to Tezariah. Tezariah's happiness could no longer hold back as his eyes glimmered.

One could say that this was the state of Tezariah which still craves for knowledge. The "blood" of being a wizard has once again surfaced. His thirst for knowledge slowly overcame his emotions and he no longer felt much against toward the old man. He could clearly see that the old man was teaching him.

What felt like hours, the old man finished explaining, while Tezariah still sat there contemplating and absorbing the knowledge he received. Sometimes he asked questions which the old man obliged to answer. Each answer brought Tezariah clarity to what path he would need to take. He felt a little grateful for to this old man. The hostility and wariness of Tezariah towards the old man slowly broke down.

Finally when Tezariah getting too excited, the old interjected. He changed the topic about his gamble of his. With a wave of his hand, he showed Tezariah a glimpse of what this world might be, this is unless Tezariah could help mitigate it. After all, according to the old man, this world's intelligent life only had a history of 100,000. Thus, this would be the first war they would have to fight and would surely end in pure decimation.

Tezariah began to ponder upon this. No matter what it is too dangerous for him to fight alone...

Unto which the old man pointed out, the elven children, Yuria... a demigod, and the other awakened races in this world that was also slowly preparing. According to the old man, all he needed to was to convince and rally the world becoming its leader.

"I believe you could do it." the old man smiled warmly. But Tezariah knew that within that warm smile was definitely a huge scheme.

"What do I get from it?" Tezariah replied coldly. He wouldn't definitely let himself lose out with this old man.

"Aside from divinity from the defeated enemies, you might have a chance to achieve godhood through battle. Won't that be optimal?" the old man said. Tezariah looked at the old man, checking if he was joking. This deal was one-sided! An enduring silence filled the room as the standoff of stares between the two continued for a few minutes.

The old man sighs."Fine! I'll give you three relics of my own, and a recommendation to the council of the gods. Now you good with that?" the old man felt a bit funny. He thought Tezariah was an intelligent heroic hot-blooded young man, but who would have thought that was too intelligent for his own good as well as being calm and calculative. He slightly felt that his gamble was a really risky one.

On the other side, Tezariah pondered. Although he really didn't think much that the old man would give relics, three relics was indeed a nice deal for him. After all, we're talking about a God's Relic. One relic alone could satisfy the needs of a country for thousands of years.

The resolute offer of the old man moved Tezariah, as he knew such an offer was both the old man's sincerity and desperation. Since he felt the offer was not such a bogus he nodded. The old man finally let out a breath of relief. They continued to talk about the plans furthermore. The fate of one world, laid in the hands of Tezariah, and this alone gave him even more pressure to get stronger.

After settling everything, Tezariah once asked about true mana. The old man smiled and continued to give pointers and answer Tezariah's question. From this question and answer alone, the old man could see Tezariah grow stronger. Who knows!? Maybe, after they left this space, Tezariah's strength would rapidly increase.

"By the way, why are you teaching me?" Tezariah finally asked. The old man only smiled once again. "You should know the answer yourself. Don't you?"

Tezariah started to think hard and came to a conclusion, he was doing this to get him stronger. He laughed internally. It seems just this discussion alone was a great reward for "protecting" this world.

...

As Tezariah and the old man continued to talked, unbeknownst to them, a malevolent shadow figure has emerged in another place in an alley in China. Two drunk men approached the shadow figure, curious of the who the shadow might be. By the time the two men felt something was wrong, both of them were engorged by the shadow... Not a single trace of them remains.

...

In Brazil, a young girl holding an ugly doll is seen walking through the streets. As she slowly walked down, a group of men seems to approach her. They wore sinister smiles as the young girl stared at them curiously. They tried to persuade her to come with them which she obliged.

On a dark alley, they finally went and sacked the girl, leaving the doll in the ground. Unknown to the men, as the girl struggled, the doll stood. It moved closer to the men. It stopped in front of one of them. Suddenly it's head turned into a 3 meter high one and it's maw opened biting down the man and swallowing it immediately. It continued to maw the other men until only the sac remained.

"Nice one Isha!" ,the girl came out and smiled. She picked up the now sitting and harmless doll and walked out the alley and into the streets. No one knew what happened in the alley.
