Chapter 4 - I Have a Question

Everyone was dumbfounded at this piece of news. They looked at Dame with complicated faces. Francine who was an outsider reacted immediately.

"Lover? Who's your lover?" she was quite fond of Dame. That is the reason why she asked his father to have Dame accompany her. When dame agreed, she was ecstatic. She dressed for a quite long time just to look perfect in Dame's eyes. Now, out of the blue, he announced that he had a lover. Is the world trying to make a joke out of her?

Seeing no one answering her. She glared at Caroline. It was Caroline herself that said his brother does not have a lover. However, seeing that she was also clueless, she swallowed back her words.

Dame who was well aware of her intentions directly ignored her. He took his phone and sent a message to the driver.

"Send me the address of the facility. Let me… let me have a look at him. We'll about this later." He took his belongings directly driving out of the Alba Family's mansion. Leaving the seething Francine and his sister.

Adam and Adrian looked at each other. Back then, they can say they are not that close with their brother. Right, they did not know him, at all. Yesterday evening when they argued, the topic was Allen's love affairs. Allen was not a social persona and the family will only know what was going on within second-hand news. Despite Allen's reclusive behavior, he was still popular.

The reason for this is Allen's appearance. Among them, siblings Allen was the one who inherited their mother's beauty. It's not handsomeness from their father but their mother's beauty. Their mother, Susan, was a well-known musician. Allen also inherited these traits.

He had a slim build, smooth porcelain skin, jet black hair, a tall nose, rosy lips, and beautiful ice blue eyes. Susan and Allen looked so alike. The more they look at him, the more they missed their mother. Thus, after the death of their mother, besides blaming him for the death of their mother, they also forbade Allen from touching their mother's instruments. After doing this, it made Allen stop interacting with people. Forcing Allen to be homeschooled.

There was one time where they came to the house quite early for their usual time home. They caught Allen playing their mother's piano. It made their father infuriated and immediately closed the fallboard smashing Allen's hands. Though not broken Allen's hands were unable to do basic movements with his hands for a time being.

Allen forgot about this incident when he had amnesia. But he still instinctively stayed away from the piano and as much as possible never had physical contact with their father. The years, made them realize how terrible they to their brother.

Yesterday, they heard that Allen was dating someone. Of course, Edgar confronted Allen about it when they were eating their dinner. Wanting to know more about the person he was dating. It was not out of concern but many business partners wanted Allen as their son-in-law. If he was going to date someone then at least it going to be one of their business partners' families.

Allen who somehow had the idea of how the talk would go lost his appetite and stopped eating. He stared at his father for a long time before he snorted. Looking at them with disdain.

"What are going to do about it then, father? Break up? Ruin everything again? Stop with your imagination immediately. I won't ride along with ideas." He said. Then went his way to of the dining room.

Being confronted like this, Edgar got mad.

"So it is true then? Who is it? Tell me who it is and see what I can do. How dare you disrespect me like this?" Edgar stood up from the table and walked to Allen. Unable to restrain his anger he slapped Allen.

The crisp sound echoed in the room. It was then Edgar realized what he did. But then it was already too late. Allen glared at him and felt chills behind his back. This was not the first time he beat up this son of his. It is hard to admit, but every time he did it, he feels guilty, but pride went up against his reason, and was never sorry about his actions.

Seeing his reaction Edgar stepped backward. The red handprint was very visible against his white skin. Not minding the pain he talked back to his father. The first time he did so in his entire life.

"Disrespect? Don't give me that bullshit father. Respect is not a charity. Do you want respect? Earn it! I don't care if you are my father. You never even treated me as your son anyway." He screamed at the top of his lungs.

All of them were stunned. Allen never once had talked back to Edgar. "Y-you dare talk back at me! See if don't ground you!"

Still gasping for breath, maybe out of the thrill from fighting back for the first in his life, Allen laughed. So hard, that he became mad. Allen was no longer threatened. The years of these injustices had long corrupted his mind.

"Father, I have a question." He stepped forward and looked into his father's eyes.

"Do you think you are doing a good job being a father?" Edgar stilled. He opened his mouth but was unable to make a sound.

Allen looked at his brothers. "How about you? Do you think you are good brothers?" None of them answered. They went silent for short while but broke when Allan answered.

"Am I not, brother?" Allan choked in his tears. Still could not process why his brother was asking this question.

Hearing this, Allen laughed again. He looked at Allan as if he was a clown. Such a statement coming from someone like his brother. It was hilarious.

"Seriously? Do you think you are good? Ha-ha… Even if you are just joking it was still unacceptable. What 'sunshine of the Alba family'? Do you think I do not know your true colors, Allan? You two-faced b***h!"

These people will not take anything from him anymore because he will drag them down to the mud after this.
