"It seems we have found our lost Demon." The Officer stands up with a serious face, he shouts "Tactical 24! We will hunt and capture that Demon, in the name of the Holy Church! Make our Kingdom proud!"
The Knights and Mages all shout in unison as they slowly start to begin Tactical 24.
An order that is only executed for specifically hunting Demons, the formation results in the Mages casting a spell [Blind Of Sight], a volley of immense pure light shotting into the atmosphere that gradually rains rapid-firing piercing bolts of light that renders anything that hits it target to be incapable of movement. As well as upon impact permanently blinding the target.
As the Mages channel their inner mana and start chanting to perform the spell, the Knights cover themselves with a thin sheet of polished metal, raising their shield to cover its front side completely. The Knights squat down and slowly start to approach the target.
The Officer smiles with a proud smile as he stares into the sky with his hands behind his lower back, without looking at Jacob. "You be wise to take cover within your home. Oh, and don't forget your daughter unless." He stops for a quick moment to look behind him. "Unless you want your daughter to be blinded for all of eternity."
Jacob didn't know what he meant by that but, without a second thought, he slowly stood up and began to walk to his daughter with uneasy steps.
"Huh… Ahh... B-Bella, Bella come, we need to get to safety before we g-get hurt." He tries to reach out a hand to her shoulder but Bella screams in anger, regret, and all mixed feeling she is feeling at once and some she never even felt before. countless tears flow down her face, slapping his supporting hand, she covers her arms on her face as she continues to sob whilst leaning on her mother's decapitated body.
"Bella, please we need to…"
[Shroooooosh]
Countless bolts of light cover the sky with its radiating intense light that shines over the whole village as if it turned morning all of a sudden. A hissing piercing sound, comes from the sudden mysterious light that covers the sky like a blanket.
Jacob stumbles back as he tries to cover his hand to prevent the light from blinding him. He regains his balance and runs forwards and forcefully grabs Bella and put her on his back.
"We are going whether you want to or not but I am not losing you as well!" He shouts as he tries his hardest to maintain his balance and get to safety, but Bella constantly kicking and punching his back only makes it that much more difficult.
"I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! I HATE YOU, How could you just watch mother die like that you-you, MONSTER!"
Jacob shakes his head and ignores her and continues running with uneasy steps.
As he's about to reach for safety within his home, the hissing intensifies and starts raining. bolts of light rain one after another into the monster forest.
…
[Drip]
[Drip]
Blood slowly drip down along Sirus's arms, he shakes his arm in an attempt to get rid most of the blood.
"Ahh, it's all over me. I need to take a bath after this, now I need to get out of here before more reinforcements come after me." He looks up in the sky with squinted eyes, quickly looking away he feels drowsy and his steps are unsteady. He grabs onto a nearby tree but fails, he falls down on the floor.
[Bang]
"I-I think I'm going to be sick, what the hell is that…" He vomits all of a sudden but he shakes his head and wipes his mouth, slaps his face a couple of times and shakes his head and suddenly bursts up.
"FUCK! I need to get out of here, I really need to get my body checked, shit… I'm gonna puke again, no, swallow it back in!" He swallows it back in but some of the acids remain in his throat, making his throat feel as if it's on fire as well as dozens of needles piercing his throat.
He stared at his hands and saw his hands were moving in an unnatural way. Even though he wasn't moving his hands in any way, He looked over the river and saw countless Knights approaching his position, all he could do was curse his luck, loud clanging sounds coming from the Knights armour only made him more nervous and anxious and that was not helping him in the slightest.
"I need to get out of here first then I can worry what's happening to my body. Before t-they come." He walked for a few metres while trying to lean onto the trees, he felt even more dizzy and drowsy with every step he took. The next thing he knew, the floor started to glow brightly, he slowly turned his head around and with awe, he witnessed countless dozens of light bolts raining down upon him, he panicked even more making him move faster and trying to get away from the mysteries light falling from the sky.
His body felt so weak, so weak he couldn't even see no more, he felt as if he was carrying a bus on his shoulders. Every step he leaned further into the ground and finally he collapsed making him fall asleep.
…
A voice coming from one of the many Mages performing the spell shouted towards the Officer and it gathered his attention.
"Sir! We have hit countless creatures within the desired location, the Mana signature belonging to the Demon is fading rapidly, reporting Demon is neutralized!"
Hearing this wondrous news filled the Officer ears with such joy that he smiled unconsciously, "Excellent work men, Knights! I want that Demon back here in less than 10 minutes." He said as he pointed a finger at the forest.
The Knights did a war cry as a response and the Mages halted their spell and the movement of the Knights hasted.
Meanwhile, Sirus is unconscious, his unmatured horns slowly start to glow a faint golden glow, shortly after the trees start to move and surround him, a variety of sounds start to creak from the nearby trees, they turn and twist, slowly starting to cover his body.
The trees alongside the river bent over the river and their leaves all at once fall into the river, its branches were sharply pointed and that's not all that happened. The trees were alive, they were moving and swaying as if someone were controlling them of some sorts.
The Knights noticed this strange pheromonal, but continued their march, their hearts start to beat rapidly out of the occurrence. instincts were telling them not to approach this sudden appearance.
One of the Knights dipped their metal shoe into the river and one after another all stepped in. The trees vibrated ferociously before leaning even further and burst out their sharpened branches forward causing them to easily pierce the Knights armour with ease. Knights screamed in pain and agony as they were hanging onto the branches. The other knights just witnessed their comrades getting stabbed by the trees? Unaware of the situation they just witness, the next moment they felt a warm bloody liquid pouring out of their bodies and at that moment they screamed in pain.
The trees blackened in colour, the tip of its branches turned a crimson red, swaying side to side and jutting forward with its sharpened branches pierced one Knight after another.
The river once again turning into a bloody colour from the Knights blood flowed gently down the stream.
The officer gasped in awe, his jaw dropped to the floor, he couldn't believe what his eyes just witnessed. He quickly regained his composure and ordered the Mages to start a forest fire.
The Mages were frightened in fear at the sudden occurrence and took them a couple of moments to snap back to reality and hear the Officer's orders.
'What just happened? Never in my life have I seen the trees move and kill. This can't be the Demon's doing, there must be someone else who performed this spell to act up the trees like this?" Countless thoughts entered and exited his mind, trying to figure why and how did the trees did this. He began losing his sanity as he tried to remember his teachings and trying to figure out if there were any mentions of magic manipulating the very trees themselves.
"Sir!? Sir?"
One of the Mages slowly approached the Officer and tapped his shoulder, as result he stared straight into the Mages eyes. "WHAT!" He was panicking, he was breathing heavily and uneasy.
The Mage hesitated to say anything after his sudden burst of anger. "Sir please calm down and order us what to do next?"
The Officer breathed in deeply, making him feel calmer. "Yes, yes. Set the whole damn forest on fire otherwise, we will never get that Demon."
"But sure if we set the forest on fire the Lords of the forest might and will possibly retaliate, and the chance the Demon migh.." Before the Mage could finish his speech the Officer interrupted him.
"I do not give a damn about that Demon! He has caused all of our men to die by FUCKING TREES!" He grabbed the Mage shoulders tightly as he began breathing heavily.
"Y-yes!" The Mage strutted in fear.
