Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: Buisness

"Everyone really left the place in a rush didn't they?" Sirus mumbled to himself as he and several guards were escorting Sirus to the Mayor's manor, also with more than one handcuffs surrounding his wrist.

Meanwhile, the head guard sent multiple scouts to the evacuation area where they would remain and send word of what happened. If all goes well the citizens would return with an S Class monster within their walls.

"What you mean they just let an S Class monster inside the gates! Have you all gone mad! An angry old man wearing a formal suit yelled out to the scouts. "This is outrageous! And you dare come in here despite what just occurred and demand I negotiate with a monster?!"

"S-Sir, please calm down, this isn't good for your health." Spoke one of the scouts in a respectful manner.

"Damn my health! I am the mayor of this town and I hold all responsibility for my fellow citizens! Cough! Cough!" The mayor loosened his tie in order to make it easier for him to breathe. His face red as a tomato. The scouts went to his needs and tried to help him calm down.

"With all due respect, Sir. The head guard requests your presence, and know we have our strongest specialized handcuffs on the monster!"

The mayor continued to loosen his tie but when he heard they retained the monster piqued his curiosity. "You managed to restrain an S Class calamity monster? How did such a thing happen?"

The scout took a deep breath before mentioning everything that happened since the beginning.

"..."

"H-He let himself get restrained?!"

"Yes Sir, he personally suggested that it was best to make everyone feel a little calmer about the current situation so he told the head guard to handcuff himself."

The mayor balled his eyes out when he heard of such news. Why would a monster non a less request to get handcuffed by specialized handcuffs that removes 90% of the strength of the monster? 'S Class or not. He can't be this confident in himself. Unless he has other means of breaking the handcuffs.' Alas, no matter how he pounded in his thoughts he just couldn't figure out why it would handcuff itself. But now he is handcuffed, that monster is no stronger than a child wielding a wooden stick.

He sighed in relief and as if a mountain has been lifted off his shoulders. "Very well, let us meet with this monster. Oh and, my citizens there is no reason to be scared now, your lives are assured to be safe, so you may all leave and go back to your lives." He said with a smile before the massive bulkhead doors slowly opened.

Meanwhile, everyone waits patiently. Well almost everyone, While Sirus is surrounded by countless guards with all their spears faced towards Sirus with sweat rolling down their backs. Sirus is taking in the elegant and fabulous design in the mayor's manor.

"Ahem, Sirus? May I ask why you remain calm despite spears from every angle spouting at your throat? And as well you have handcuffs and not just one or 2 but 10 handcuffs that restricts a monster's strength by 90%?"

Sirus calmy moves his handsome nonchalant face towards the head guard. Almost as if the handcuffs restraining him can be broken in any second if he wanted to. "You continue to mention and brag about these handcuffs but what makes you so confronted that I am a monster before you? I'm no human but nor am I a monster."

The room quickly quieted for a moment before a burst of laughter came from the guards. "You think you're not a monster? Please what nonsense! You're nothing but a monster."

"What is your name, hmm?" He spoke calmly as if what the guards spouted went from one ear to the other. The head guard narrowed his eyes for a moment before speaking. "James Luwent." He spoke confidently. Now it was Sirus turn to burst into laughter after hearing his ridiculous name. "PAHH! WHAT SUCH A RETARDED NAME IS James Luwent! Ahhh man, heheh, how am I supposed to remain calm when you have such a ridiculous name!" As he laughed loudly the manor slightly shook and bits of dust fell off the ceiling.

James and the rest of the guards all look at each other dumbfounded, not knowing why the monster suddenly burst into tears at his name.

'Is my name really that weird?' He thought to himself as he thought his name was quite a handsome name.

Sirus cleared his pitch-black tears with his shoulder and let out a few breathes to calm himself.

Sirus suddenly noticed stares looking at him from every angle. "Oh don't worry about my tears of laugher, they suddenly turned black as well as my blood after an accident occurred some time ago. But anyway, what I was going to ask you is what defines a monster? What makes a monster a monster?" James pounded for a moment at his question before answering but as he was to open his mouth a large set of double pristine white doors with gold lining opened and revealed a fairly short robust human in a formal dressing with being bold on top and some hair on the side in colour of black, and with brown eyes and with a long white moustache to match his white tie.

The guards including James bowed in a respectful manner and continued to bow until the mayor gave the order. "At ease, Ahem, where is the so-called S Class monster…" His eyes narrowed on a unique figure with snow-white long hair individual with glowing menacing red eyes and as well a handsome noble smooth face with sun-kissed skin tone. A set of razor-sharp fangs showed on his face as he slightly smiled at the mayor. Long pointy ears that resembled the elves ears, a set of hind legs that he has never seen in his lifetime, alas, not to mention how he weirdly blinks sideways. And his small horns that he almost missed.

The guards and James stood up with their backs straight while James faced the mayor the guards continued to raise their spears at Sirus. The mayor spoke in a questioning voice. "What on heavens kind of monster are you? I have never seen or heard of anything alike." The mayor was simply speechless and rather jealous of his heavenly appearance.

"Must I be called a monster each time? Simply just because I look rather different from you, I don't think that qualifies I am automatically a monster." He spoke simply with a calm voice as he didn't let go of his stare looking at the mayor with his red eyes that could make any person with a light heart fall unconscious.

The mayor was pulled back by his sudden speech of such precision and fluently speaking his remained his composure and spoke confidently. "If you are not a monster as you say as you are, then what on heavens are you. You certainly look monster enough to fool any human." He spoke calmly.

Sirus smiled with a confidently grin and stood up. "Well, let me prove before you all I am not a monster as you all foolishly describe." The mayor raised a brow. As for the guards they started to shout and threatened to end his life on the spot as they narrowed their spears.

Paying no attention, Sirus grin grew ever wider and clenched his fist and with a burst of power he pulled his hands outwards and with such ease the chains broke effortlessly. The monster has been freed. Everyone balled their eyes out when he so easily broke the chains like they were made out of strings made of paper. While everyone was shocked to the core Sirus calmly walked forward to the mayor wide black desk and placed his palm on the table and looked at the mayor with an intensive stare as his grin grew wider.

"Let's talk business, kekeke."
