Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: The Town Of Kurts

Blood soaking fists, fragments of bones and organs, terrified souls, the downpour of the rain intensifies.

The forest fire slowly extinguishes as all one can hear are the sounds of sizzles and the heavy droplets of thunder.

The residents tremble in fear, not letting a single muscle in their bodies move, alas, the curiosity of a child couldn't hold it back anymore, forcefully moving away his mother's hand from coving his mouth, he runs towards the strange mysterious person dancing with the rain.

While everyone was so deeply focused on not moving a muscle, a mother doesn't notice her son just escaped from her grasps.

As the curious boy nears the figure in black, his deep heavy breathing grows ever louder with each of his little steps.

Tug, tug, the little boy tugged the strange's persons jacket as he waves his hand in front of the persons face. As the mysterious person slowly tilts his head down, a thunderstrike reveals his figure, beady menacing glowing red pupils, long snow-white hair with horns sprouting out of the side of his forehead, razor-sharp claws, easily being able to slice through flesh like melted butter, strange animal-like legs.

The curious little boy was no longer curious but terrified for his life, his weeps and screaming broke the long silence, alas, the residents woke up in awe and saw a little boy screaming in front of the monster and the child's mother looked down and without a doubt, her child was gone from her safety.

"JACK!" She screamed as she dropped to the floor, grabbing onto the nearby people for help she begged for someone to help and retrieve her son from the monsters grapes. But the residents hastily refused and all ran back within the safety of their homes.

Screams and cries coved the area, Sirus looked up and saw a middle-aged female, kneeling down on the mud screaming for help as she begged her fellow people to help but hastily refused her without a second thought as they cowardly ran away with their tails between their legs.

'Leaving a mother begging for help for her child and only finding out not a single soul would try and even retrieve her child. Tsk, how disgusting the human race is and how selfish they can be.'

Sirus looked down at the idiot child who ran away from her mother and facepalmed his face in disappointment. He picked up the child with ease and carried him as a parent would do in their arms and placed a finger on his lips and made a hushing sound.

As Sirus stared at the boy's eyes as if staring down at his naked soul, the child immediate shut his trap, Sirus was a bit surprised but shook his head and calmly walked towards the mother, well as calmly as he could since his body was coved in blood.

As he approached the begging mother, the rain slowly washed all remains of the blood off his body. His menacing but calming aura, made the mother shiver and tremble in fear. She simply accepted her death and simply continued to cry with her face facing the ground.

The residents cowering behind their homes as they peeked out of their windows, watched the scene unfold.

Sirus stood in front of the weeping mother and stared at her for a couple of moments before taking a deep breath and kneeling down to show her son unharmed in his arms.

She slowly looks up as she continues to tremble, her face in awe when she saw her son laying down quietly in the arms of the monster unharmed, she looked up and looked at the monster, she couldn't figure out what was happening to her or what exactly is happening anymore. She simply stared at him.

'This is getting weird…' He placed her son on her lap and quickly patted her head before walking away into the darkness of the night sky, his figure slowly disappearing into the forest.

"M-mother?" The boy strutted in fear as his voice clearly indicated he was terrified of his life.

She embraced her son tightly into her chest and moments later she looked up for the kind monster but he was nowhere to be seen.

Sirus quickly left the village but not before grabbing his dagger and staring down at the decapitated elderly woman. "I'm guessing you didn't reveal that I stayed at your house huh?

Should have told them, now your foolish choice will leave a big impact on your daughter."

As though Sirus said those words he was thankful for her letting and eating their food within their homes, alas, she also should have revealed him then leaving a heavy scar and burden on her daughter. Now she will grow up without a caring mother for the days to come.

A few hours passed by and the sun shined greatly upon the valley, the steps he walked in for hours were still burnt from the forest fire and still could be seen for many miles.

He continued his plan and walked the opposite side of the river that lead to his village, hoping to find someplace new and discover new creatures and mighty foes along the way.

Several days and even weeks passed by and nothing interesting came up, and he long far walked past the forest fire so the area he was currently resting on was filled with greenery and the sweet scent of the air creased his skin. The sounds of birds chirping and even seeing animals that were from his previous world resided in this forest indicating he no longer was in the residence of the monster forest but the humane forest, at least, that is what he called it.

"A new place, a new beginning." He exclaimed as he laid down upon a long rock that was oddly smooth, he basked in the sunshine for several hours before doing his morning workout, he did what a normal human did to workout without proper gym equipment, every so often the day he would try to find the thickest and dense rocks and trees to test his might.

He was bothered and bored that nothing challenging was worth fighting stumbled upon his journey, he was full of fighting spirit that slowly rotted away as nothing worthy challenged his might, but none the least his body were that of an early bodybuilder. What would take at least 2 to 4 years to accomplish he managed to accomplish in a mere 5 months of working out alone, with no proper diet or special drugs to accomplish his current body physique. The body of a Daemon was truly something to behold. He ate all kinds of things while in the humane forest, from snakes to wild wolves to even deer, to keep his body physique, just as any bodybuilder needed to ingest heavy loads of protein and other important assets. He kept a lean but obvious muscular body as he didn't want a big bulging muscles to render his fighting capabilities of a swift but deadly fighter, after all a kickboxer cannot move as they would want if they were too big and heavy to swiftly execute their movements.

Finishing his relaxing basking in the sun, Sirus continues to walk along the endlessly seemingly river, dozens of minutes pass by and to his surprise, a dirt road appears on the opposite side of the river, without much thought he leaps over the river with ease and lands in the middle of the dirt road, he looks to his right and left where the road leads.

"Finally, now the question which way should I go?" He pondered for a few minutes and noticed a wooden to his left far away. "Well, that answers my question, if it's a sign there's bound to be some sort of writing to a town or even a city, though I need to think carefully about this, after all, humans don't take too kindly to demons.

Sirus approached the sign but as he goes to read what is engraved, a human seems to be camping on the side of the dirt road, not too far from his current position.

He hides behind a tree and peeks over to look at the human and finds out he looks like a regular town folk, with that knowledge, he looks at the sign and reads it from afar.

'Welcome to the town of kurts, the town of kurts? What idiot came up with that pathetic name?' Sirus sighs before looking at the human camping out, with a makeshift tent and a book he seems to be reading and no other scents of humans nearby and weapons on the human, Sirus slowly approaches the human to answer a few questions.
