"Get over there! Refusing to cooperate with the Holy Church will result in your death sentence!"
"Argh! Leave my family alone!"
The Knights locked Jacob by his arms as they forced him to kneel, a punch hitting his abdomen, causing him to lose consciousness for a mere moment.
An Officer in charge pointed a finger towards the Mages, who were investigating and locating the strange unknown mana that lingered in one of the houses. As the Mages channelled their mana in an attempt to study the unknown source of this mysterious mana, some fell ill while others simply pass out.
"What is taking so long? I have the finest Mages and yet you lot pass out!" The Officer messages the bridge of his nose as he calms his anger. He looks up and looked over to the Knights who were holding the prime family suspect.
"I want every single bit of information extracted out of these traitors! If they refuse to cooperate then they will face severe consequences! That goes for the same for your family!"
"I am telling you the truth, what more do you want to know! Just please let my wife and daughter alone! You can do whatever you want with me!" He exclaims with a desperate voice as he looks over to his family who are currently being restrained, as they lay down in the mud with ropes tied behind their backs.
"Argh!"
"Jacob! Y-you, leave him alone! Is this how the Holy Church deals with its citizens! Ahh."
"Fine! Fine! I-I will tell you everything I know! Just release them! I beg you!"
"Finally, some common sense."
The Officer gives a little nod to the side.
"Move it! Stop refusing!"
"Jacob! Don't tell them anything! Jacob!"
"Daddy! Mommy!"
"Where are you taking them! I said I would tell you everything I know! Hey! Are you listening!"
The Officer smirks as he squats down as the Knights hold his head up.
"You see, I don't like people who hide crimes in their homes, I will do you a favour and let you and your daughter live if you do answer my questions. He pauses for a moment as he looks over to the woman. "As for your wife, she will be executed for withholding information and keeping secret to a loose Demon whom we have clear evidence that it stayed in your house. As for you who is willing to cooperate you get to live for another day."
Jacob's eyes widen as his jaw dropped, his heart racing. But a moment later he looks down as his wife screams with her course voice, as the Knights take her away.
"JACOB! Jacob! Help!"
"Mommy! Noooo!" Bella sweeps endlessly as she shakes her body, trying to escape the grapes of the Knights restraining her. She looks over to her father who is not even trying to fight back, she notices this and is left confused, she finally stops moving as she watches her mother desperately fighting back but with no attempt of success.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Jacobs whispers repeatedly whilst staring at the ground, shaking his head.
The Officer grabs his chin and makes him look into his eyes. "Now, I presume your name is Jacob? Jacob if you tell everything you can I promise I will release you and your daughter and you can go on about your life as if nothing has happened, can I trust you will support my decision and cooperate?"
Jacob simply gives a nod, he takes his hand off his chin and whispers in his ear. "Well done." He stands up and raises his hand before swinging it down.
The Knight kick the elderly woman in the back, she falls down to the muddy dirt and another knight makes her sit up while leaning her head forward. The other unsheathed his sword and swiftly executing the traitor head off. Her lifeless body as for her head rolls down in the mud, blood sprouts out in a haste and shortly after slowing continues to sprout out as it dyes the mud into a bloody colour.
Bella witnesses her mother death in front of her innocent eyes, her eyes swelling up, she grunts and bites a hand of the Knight, they let her go and she stumbles over before getting up. Rushing over to her body she screams for her mother.
"Now that is cleared with you can begin to tell me what exactly came into your home. I will need a description of the Demon, his behaviour, how he looked, how it ate, if it has any sort of weaponry, its age. Everything, you will answer me every single bit of it."
Jacob looks up in wonder and confusion, "A-a Demon entered our home?"
The Officer raises a brow before answering. "It seems you weren't aware what came into your house but yes a Demon did enter your house. You know, it makes me wonder why it didn't kill you but left you alive is my main concern."
"It looked Human but at the same time it didn't, I never seen anything the likes of it. It had long shiny snow-white hair, up to its I think lower back and its skin colour was that of a European person, it had these hind legs? And these long razor-sharp claws and tee-." As Jacob explained every single detail to the Officer as he took out a small notepad to write everything down, Sirus was watching closely nearby.
"That mother fucker didn't even bother to fight back for his wife, what was the purpose for her death anyway? No, why was I getting so worked up a moment ago? Damn what is happening to me? What should I do? I can't just rush in and try to save them? Plus I'm certain that magic exists in this world and I know plenty well what you can do with magic and its multi destruction powers it holds to its wielder."
Sirus stays crouched behind a bush next to a tree as he tries to think of a plan.
"Dammit if there were only Knights then I could do something but it-its just the Mages and the knowledge of magic that is keeping me back. It doesn't seem they are harming or will try to hurt the rest so It's best If I leave now before they find me."
As Sirus observes a little more of the situation he feels a cold feeling in his spine and the next moment he hears a twig crack, he doesn't hesitate to jump straight up in the tree and stay silent.
"It's nearby, this Demon is foolish if it keeps on releasing its mana like this for all to see."
"Still I never felt such a heavy and dense mana before, it's giving me the creeps."
"Shut it you idiots, we don't want to make the Demon aware of our presence. The sooner we get this job done the sooner I can hit the sacks."
"No kidding, it's been months since we been tracking this Demon."
"Roland, what makes you mages so sure it's a Demon and not some other creature or some monster?
"Shush, It's nearby, it's right around here, I can feel it."
"You sure? I don't see anything?
Roland, the mage in charge of locating the Demon waves his hand around as he channels his mana in his surroundings and feels the Demon is in front of them but nowhere to be seen.
"You sure it just didn't take a dump around here? Is it possible that mana lingers if something takes a dump?
"Don't be so stupid you idiot."
"Don't be calling me an idiot, idiot."
"Will you guys shut the hel-.."
"You stay out of thi-? Where did Roland go?"
The Knights go against it's each other backs in a haste, whilst holding out their swords in front of them, looking out for any sign of moment.
"Arhmmm!" Roland's eyes widen in fear as it tries to scream for help but the Demon they have been desperately searching for months is coving his mouth as it stares dead in his eyes as if it's staring in its very soul.
Sirus straightens out his finger in a cone shape and pierces the body of the mage with ease.
[Drip]
[Drip]
"Huh?" One of the knights felt something warm touch his nose, as he slowly looks up, he shakes in utter fear as he stares up in the tree, his partner Roland dangling in the tree. But behind his body is something much, much, much more fearsome. Its glowing beady red eyes glaring into his soul he is left frozen as if he is frozen in solid ice.
He slowly takes a step back as he drops his sword in fear with his eyes widened.
"Chris, what the hell are you doing? Get back in formation!"
Chris the Knight, slowly points his hand at the tree in front of him as his arms shake as well his entire body.
"What are yo-.?"
"Boo!"
"ARRHHHHHH!!"
"It seems we have found our lost Demon." The Officer stands up as he looks into the monster forest where the screams came from.
