Chapter 10 - Training to become a Soldier

The system can now analyse the stats. Of other individuals based on their proximity and level.

For instance I'm still level one. Even through out trained a lot. Turns out that ones level increases when one beats an enemy.

Nor finishing a task. I will gain experience. And the reward as well.

Based on the difficulty of the mission and the completion of the mission. Each time I level up , i will receive points that can be directly added to my status.

Coincidentally when I have a high level. It will be much easier to win. And to defeat the enemy.

Basically the more level I have the more op I am. However that is not always the case. Since there will always be a stronger enemy.

Leveling up will take priority over every thing else. They usually just brute force their way to the top. By they ,I mean other user of the system.

Yes, I'm not the only one who owns the system. There are lots of people from different dimensions. And lots of them enjoy bragging their every achievement and prowess.

They don't even consider how if they are just a little bit weaker than the enemy. They will certainly loose to them. Because they always fight on their terms.

The enemy is always at the disadvantage. Compared to them. So they never truly faced an actual battle.

So instead of leveling up fanatically. I prefer to increase my stats by my own action or training first.

And achieve the thing that makes one truly strong. Then no matter what kind of enemy I face. I will overcome them with absolute power.

After a few days of travelling I have arrived in the city if Xu Chang. Here people from other villages gather to enlist in the army.

This army is actually we'll equipped. So we will receive armour and training. They will open conscription to all regiments.

However when they have reached their quota. They will be forced to be enlisted to the main attacking army. Which usually is just a huge number of foot men and cannon fodder.

The systematic arrangements for the army is simple. They will enlist 5000 archers. 12000 foot men, they normally make the main army. The foot men are usually equipped with pikes, spears, or swords.

Then they enlisted engineers to craft siege weapons. They mostly make ladders to climb the defensive walls. However sometimes they make a huge battering ram or siege towers and bring them to the battlefield.

Sometimes they even crafted embankments or even traps. Based on the generals strategy. They must be flexible to move around the battlefield.

Which is why they are usually stationed to the rear of the formation. They are practically unarmed.

Next is the Navy. The Navy will fight on water. Either by boarding the enemies boats. Or by launching fire arrows on the enemy.

However some naval battle will turn into. Land battle on top of a highly unsteady grounds. Most troops will get dizzy or sea sick.

They mostly fight on rivers. Deliver supplies by sea. Or just protecting the transport ships to reach the enemy.

Up next is the Calvary the most feared. The most powerful unit on the battlefield. Most of them are only consists of officers or noble families.

Normal people couldn't even afford to train a war horse. Let alone use a normal horse to fight on the battlefield. They would either be unable to control the horse, or simply couldn't strike the enemy with great accuracy.

I decided to join the Archers regiment. They mostly train their accuracy rather than swordsmanship nor martial arts.

We were taken to train near the woods. The new conscript are gathered to physical training that every new soldier must take before specialized training.

Although the archers bring swords as their secondary arms. They are usually pretty vulnerable in an all out melee. And that their slow movement, makes them vulnerable to Calvary charges.

Running around the hills towards the checkpoints. While carrying heavy gear al the way. Without a single drop of water nor food.

Till we reached the final checkpoint. They finally gave us our food. It's a loaf of bread, and warm army rations.

After three days of discipline training. We were brought to the archery range. There we practiced shooting arrows, over and over again to increase our accuracy.

However this only works on targets that are standing still. When they move one must move along with the enemy to shoot them. Well I guess for regular archers this much is enough.

After the training my status went up again.

Strength : 18

Agility : 20

intelligence : 10

Stamina : 38

A normal troops status on average is

Strength : 10

Agility : 12

Intelligence : 04

Stamina : 25

An officers status on average is

Strength : 14

Agility : 17

Intelligence : 09

Stamina : 30

Currently my status is superior to most od the average officers. However there still leaves a gap. Between myself and the warrior generals.

The generals who focuses on fighting, instead of commanding. Their power is on an entirely different level.

I Have once encountered the general. Whose supposed to lead the army I'm currently in.

I managed to take a glimpse or his status.

Strength : 40

Agility : 35

Intelligence : 15

Stamina : 65

His name is Xi haouyuan. He specialized in bowman ship. Regardless of that he is fully capable of fighting hand to hand combat.

I'm training we were assigned into groups of five. Each group has its own leader. And so on until the rank of 1000 man commander who answers directly to the general.

In training I was the fastest and the best shooter of the entire group of troops. I was then promoted to the rank of 100 men commander. I choose the best shooters in the army to join my company.

After the training went on for about a week. We were ordered to March to the battlefield. With barely a week's worth of training we set out to fight.
