Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Don't Mess With Jane

On the rest of the afternoon, Violet was busy studying in the library.

She adjusted her eyeglasses and started exploring the foreign books that she had no idea of what was these about should she not have Jane's previous memories and knowledge.

Violet had been good at studying her magic books for her spells before, so she was used to studying.

She also had a photographic memory just like Jane. So by skimming and flipping through the pages of every text books and reference books, she could remember everything.

She had also tried to answer the check-up exercises at the end of every chapter.

After that, she borrowed the manual version of the textbook which contained the answers on every exercises so she could check on her answers.

She was surprised to get all of it right.

She reread on the topics that she didn't understand fully and then she tried to read the books related to it to further expand her understanding of the topics.

She was glad that she made the right decision to study in the library.

At least no one would dare to bring her trouble.

By the time the minute hand hit twelve and the hour hand pointed at six, Violet massaged her neck and temples.

She was miraculously done with the main subjects. Tomorrow, she'll study the minor ones.

Also, she didn't stop until she understood every topic really well.

Having a photographic memory was an advantage when answering a theoretical section of the exam but understanding it was another story as she had to fully understand the topic so she could answer the exercises and could give a valid and solid argument on the questions raised about it.

She yawned as she felt sleepy. Sure, studying could drain ones energy that's why many opted to not study at all and would dare to try on their luck on the day of the exam by means of guessing game or worse, through cheating.

Violet's stomach growled in hunger. She only had a piece of sandwich for her lunch.

Violet then collected her things and went out of the library.

She decided to drop by on the cafeteria to see if there were available food for her to eat for dinner.

She got inside the cafeteria to have her order.

When she got in, Gab and the rest of the football team were already occupying the two tables in the right-side corner of the cafeteria.

They had just finished their practice for the upcoming national football competition that their school was participating.

It would be held next week and the competition would run for a month.

The moment they saw her enter, they immediately spoke mocking words to her. One even tried to throw food towards her.

She decided to ignore them and headed to the counter to make her order.

She reached out to check if she still had enough money to buy her meal.

She sighed when she saw that she had a few coins and bills inside her wallet.

Based on Jane's memory, she could buy a bowl of noodles and some side dishes for her dinner.

She ordered a large bowl of noodles and had a few side dishes.

Ann had given her a bank card with cash in it. Enough to cover her daily expenses for the next two months.

She wanted to give it back to Mrs. Sanchez but the latter insisted not to.

She promised to find something that could help her in generating income.

Carrying her tray, Violet looked for a vacant table on the left side near the glass wall.

Even before, when she snuck out of the Palace and pretended to be an ordinary citizen of the kingdom, Violet always preferred sitting near the window or in the corner even if she was already the crowned Queen of Aprivepan.

She heaved a sigh as she thought she would be eating the rest of her meals silently but the spoiled brats would just not let her off!

One of Gab's teammates went behind her back and poured a juice over her head making her wig to be wet.

"Oh! The ugly sh*t queen is indeed back!" He mocked as he tried to hype the rest of the students to do the same.

To mock her.

The bullying didn't even stop there, he flipped her bowl and now all of her food were thrown on the floor. He tried to flip her table to threw the rest of her food but she had managed to save the bottle of water and the plate of side dishes.

"Now eat it just like how sh*ts like you do!" He mocked.

Violet pouted as that would mean she would have nothing to eat and would sleep with an almost empty stomach later tonight.

"Opps! Seems like the accident made her to become deaf! Come on! Even beggars on the streets would check on every trash bins to look for food. Our floor here is far cleaner than those bins outside. So come on b*tch! Eat your food!" He added.

Seeing that she was ignoring him, he was about to hit her on the face then planned to grab her by the head and dumped her face on the floor so her face would meet the dirty floor.

He didn't know that when he did, Jane would grab his hand and gripped it tightly. And that's what exactly happened to him.

Violet then fiercely looked at him in the eyes. Ignoring all the curses, insults and ill motives the guy had for her inside his empty brain.

Then Violet tried to do something for the first time. She wanted to punish him. What she had experienced and gone through taught Violet to never be lenient and forgiving to the people who wronged her.

Since wanted to try if she could got in his subconsciousness and mess his head, a little. She wanted to know the person's weakness so she could use it against him.

She won't turn into a bully though. It's not her style. She just wanted to stop all of these bullying!

She was shocked to see that she was successful. She got in!

Now, she started digging in his memory to see any dirty laundry that she could use against him.

But what greeted her there was something she was not prepared for.

Instead of getting mad at him, she felt pity for the guy instead. Now, she knew everything about him.

His name was Fred. He lived a luxurious looking life but it turned out it was only a facade he wanted himself and others to believe.

He was hooking up with rich gays to sustain this high maintenance lifestyle he had.

He came from poor family. His father abandoned him when he was a baby and left him with his mother who worked on a bar for a living. He had three half-brothers and were living on foster homes because his mom could not support them.

And now Fred, he was staying at his boyfriend's condo whom everyone thought was a friend.

That was what she discovered. And she knew if his teammates would know about this, he would immediately be out-casted and be bullied big time. He would then experience what he was giving her.

And she knew in her heart its not good. But this information would come handy for her should he not stop.

For outsiders who didn't know what was going on, it looked like she was putting him under some spells as he was stood rooted on the ground. In reality, the man also saw what Violet was seeing as she flipped his memory upside down.

Having done with him, Violet then retracted back, put his memories in order inside his head.

Violet broke off the eye contact and let go of his hand. She then walked to another table. She then grabbed a vacant chair, sat on it and then looked down. She decided to finish the side dishes she managed to save. With this, she's hoping that she won't wake up hungry in the middle of the night.

Under everyone's gaze, she drunk a bottle of water and then placed it back on the table.

She then collected her things and left the cafeteria as if nothing happened.

This made everyone to gasp in shock.

"Did she just make an eye contact?"

"Yes she did!"

"Did the accident hit her head so bad that she became like that?"

"Maybe."

The guy's teammates also approached him to check on what happened to him. They were worried for him.

He was the most bully in the group and seeing him in a trance earlier made them wonder of what had happened.

Gab followed them.

"What happened?" They asked him.

However, Fred didn't look at them but looked at Violet's leaving figure.

"Nothing. Let's go! It's getting late." Fred told his friends after some time.

"What? I thought we're going to hangout at the pub?" They questioned him.

"Not today guys. I suddenly felt sick." He half lied. Well, what Violet did to him made him wanted to puke as he was super dizzy.

Thus the truth was he wanted to confront Jane who was unknown to him and everyone else was now Violet and asked of what she had done to him.

And the confrontation would never turn into his favor.
