When Violet entered her room, she was shocked to see Betty making out with her boyfriend inside their room.
"What the h*ll!" She exclaimed in surprise.
However, instead of stopping, Betty and her boyfriend ignored her and even continued what they were doing.
Betty even moaned louder when she knew that Violet was there. And her partner was also the same. He even started touching Betty.
They clearly both had no shame in their body.
It was as if Violet should be thankful that she was going to witness a free p*rn for tonight!
Violet was rendered speechless and embarrassed at the same time because of their shamelessness that she immediately turned away and looked down on her feet.
Her face turned red even underneath the layers of thick makeup she had applied on her face.
Yes, she was no longer innocent as she had already lost her first time but still, she could not stop her face from heating up because of anger.
As a royalty in her previous world, she could not tolerate what they were doing even with her around.
This was beyond acceptable!
They deserved to be severely punished should this happen in her previous world.
But since she was in their world, she had no other choice but to ignore them and hope that they would have the decency to stop for her sake.
This was the difference in her previous world. Though she had interacted with people who wore a not so conservative cuts of dresses in her previous world, no one dared to make out in public.
Even kissing and holding hands in public were a taboo. Couple things should be done by legal couples and must be behind close doors.
The youngsters in this world were so liberated to the point that it made her feel uncomfortable but she had to adapt to it. She's an intruder after all. And she had to be considerate for these people especially when they could not do it on themselves.
Violet wanted to ignore them but she couldn't especially when they're were already moaning and heating down there.
So, she had no other choice but to grab her bag and then go somewhere else.
She figured that she would never be able to sleep in their dorm anyways so why bother staying?
She then went out in a hurry and even slowly closed the door behind her slowly as she tried to forget the couple's last position when they left.
"Gosh! Why did you even look at them?" She castrated herself while shaking her head strongly.
"Gosh! I'm sorry Jane for failing to protect your eyes." She apologized to Jane's soul.
It was already late and had just passed the curfew hours.
There's no way she could go out of the dorm without being unnoticed.
Therefore she had no other choice but to approach the cleaning lady whom she knew was still awake at this hour.
Among the people here in the dorm, she trusted the cleaning lady as it was her who treated Jane better from her recollection on Jane's memories.
Sadly the cleaning lady had a poor eye sight. However she had the clearest view on who was good or bad around her.
Violet made a trip down the basement where she was staying while trying to avoid the dorm mother and the assistants roving around. Checking every floor and make sure that it's all empty and everyone had fallen asleep.
Violet knocked on her door and minute after, the door opened revealing a middle-aged woman wearing her night gown and a head cap on. It was clear that she was already going to sleep.
"Jane?" She called her name trying to confirm her identity.
The place was actually dim as it's already lights out and only a dull light from her room was illuminating the room.
"Hello Aunt Flor. Ahm, can I come in?" She asked shyly.
Aunt Flor didn't hesitate to let her in.
"I'm sorry if I disturbed your sleeping preparation." She apologized as she closed the door behind her and stood there.
"No not at all. Why are you here? You should be resting now. Or Josephine would surely reprimand you for still being awake even if it's lights out." Aunt Flor asked her.
Josephine was the name of the Dorm Mother.
"Well, I can't go back to my room tonight."
"Did your roommate bully you?" Aunt Flor questioned.
"No! It's not like that. I have forgotten my keys and Betty is not there so I cannot get in. I'm afraid Dorm Mother Josephine didn't have a spare key to it as Betty has the last one."
Violet lied. She's not heartless enough to expose them.
"Are you sure?" Aunt Flor doubted her reason though.
"Yes."
"Well, as you can see, my room is pretty small for my things and both of us." Aunt Flor said.
"Oh! It's not why I am here. Uhm, I would like to borrow your spare key to the back gate." She honestly said.
"What are you planning?" Aunt Flor asked her.
"When the dorm mother is finally asleep, I want to go out through the back door to book a room for temporary stay for the night."
"No! I'm not going to let you go out. Come with me." Aunt Flor said as she changed into her house outfit and led her to a vacant room where no one had been using ever since.
Stories about this room being haunted was wildly known to everyone in the dormitory. Even the male dorm had heard about it, too.
Violet looked at Aunt Flor in disbelief.
"What? Don't tell me you're afraid of ghost?" Aunt Flor teased her.
"N-no, I'm not!" Violet said but her knees were starting to shake.
'Hold it up Violet! Ghosts are not real!' She said to herself in her thoughts.
However, she could feel the strong urge of fear deep inside her.
They must be Jane's residual feelings.
"Sure." Aunt Flor smiled knowingly.
"I can pitch to Josephine to relocate you into this room if you wanted to." She continued teasing her.
"That's very kind of you, Aunt Flor." Violet said.
"The tale about this room is not true at all. Yes, a student had committed suicide here but she didn't die. She died in the hospital. So all the tales of her soul coming back here is not true. But still at least they won't disturb you if you will stay here."
"I'm really not afraid of ghost. With my face, I bet the ghost would be afraid of me instead." She chuckled.
"Silly child. Aya! Go and take a rest. I'll retreat to my quarters now. Don't worry. I've been tidying up this room since it was vacated. And there are linens and a clean blanket stored on the cabinet. There are even toiletries on the bathroom." Aunt Flor said.
Violet wondered why Aunt Flor knew about this.
"That student who died four years ago is my niece. So yeah. Since no one wanted to occupy this room, I felt the responsibility to maintain it." She explained.
"I'm sorry for that Aunt Flor." Violet said with sincerity.
"It's okay. That's in the past." Aunt Flor said.
"Okay...go in now. Make sure to leave this place before the morning alarm, okay?" Aunt Flor reminded her.
Violet listened to her reminders and then the two parted ways.
After locking the door, she then turned on the lights. Then, she tried her luck and opened the cabinets to look for a clean face towel that she could use to wipe her face with after cleaning them in the bathroom later.
While she was doing so, she could not feel any presence inside the room making Jane's feelings inside her to be at ease.
She chuckled as she could not believe Jane's emotions to influence her. Ghosts were not real. But spirits were. And these spirits never interrupted the living world.
She then smiled when she saw two spare of clean towels together with the bed linens, pillows and blankets on the cabinet.
She wondered if everything was just coincidental or not.
She tried to shake off the idea as she thought it was impossible that Aunt Flor had seen this coming.
But she was not able to touch her therefore she could not read what was on her mind earlier.
She then prepared her bed so she could sleep after she was done cleaning her face and taking a shower.
She sighed as she didn't have any clean clothes to change after she was done showering. She didn't even have an air dryer to use in drying her wet hair.
She had no other choice but to use the other clean and dry towel to wrap against her body for the entire night while she was sleeping.
She could not afford to stay naked the entire night.
The cooling system of the room was done by the air conditioner installed on the wall.
But Violet had another idea in mind.
She walked through the sliding door towards the balcony of the room and opened it to let the natural and fresh air to ventilate the room.
Her porcelain skin and platinum blonde hair reflected perfectly underneath the moonlight.
She looked like a shining enchantress of the night. A moon goddess....
Little did she know that someone was observing her underneath the tree a couple of meters away from the balcony where she was standing.
"Master, I still don't understand her though. Why would she trouble hiding herself under that thick and ugly makeup every day?" The Familiar asked his Master.
"Use your brain," was his master's only response.
"She's beautiful and if others would see her true face, she'll become popular. But isn't it what others wanted? To be popular and the center of everyone's attention?" The Familiar asked his master.
"Don't tell me she is running away from something?" He kept on thinking since his master was not talking to him.
But before he could utter another word, his master forced him to disappear.
When everything turned silent, the man then jumped climbed up on the tree and from there, he jumped up on the balcony and entered the room. He then slowly walked towards the bed where he found Violet peacefully sleeping underneath the thin covers.
He frowned when he only saw her sleeping with a towel wrapped around her body.
"Little girl..." his voice trailed off as he tried to reach out and touch her face but to she moved in her sleep even before his long, white and slender fingers touched her now clean, porcelain white skin.
Violet opened her eyes and gently rubbed it after she felt someone else's presence in her room.
She tried to look for it around but now there was none. She could no longer feel the presence that she felt.
'Did a ghost just touched my face?' As she thought of this, she could not help not to freak out. Thanks to Jane's emotions.
But then she shrugged the thought off as she felt it was impossible and above all, ridiculous.
She yawned as she felt sleepy. She looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was still two in the morning.
She slowly closed her eyes and drifted back to sleep.
After making sure that she was already asleep, Edric walked out of the dark and continued looking at her sleeping figure.
"Goodnight little girl. Sweet dreams." He then disappeared in the air like a smoke.
Violet hummed in response leaving a soft chuckle from the man.
