A loud honk from a car startles me from my nap, and roll off the couch, hitting the floor with a thud. Groaning, I pick myself of the ground just in time for the car to honk again. "I'm coming, goddamn!" I yell and pick up my shirt off of the coffee table, sliding it on. The car honked again, and I rushed myself out the front door.
Outside, Rylee's Car was waiting for me on my driveway. He drove a red Convertible, so it was easy to see that he was impatient. "Come on!" he yelled at me as I started walking towards him. "We're going to be late."
I waited to answer until I got to the car, and climbed into the passenger's seat. "Is it really that important?" I grumbled, and Rylee shook his head while starting the ignition. The car started instantly, and Rylee backed out of the driveway slowly before racing down the road.
"It doesn't matter what you think," Rylee said over the wind. "You promised to come."
"Doesn't mean you have to be an ass." I rolled my eyes. What was so important about going to this party anyways? It's not like he ever had fun at one of these anyways. I was usually the one that dragged him to them.
"I never see you anymore," Rylee said, after a moment. "You're always hanging out with that Kace kid. What's the deal? He doesn't even look like someone you would hang out with."
I laughed, mostly to myself. "I didn't realize you knew me so well. Are you jealous?"
Instantly, Rylee punched me in the arm, but he smirking. "Fuck you. Just do this with me alright?"
I sighed and leaned back in my seat, rubbing my left arm. "Sure, whatever," I said, but I smiling too.
Eventually, Rylee pulled into a driveway and stopped the car. It was dark out now, and we were parked in front of two-story house surrounded by drunken teenagers and lights. Most of them were passed out in the yard, while the others were almost to that point. From inside though, we could hear loud music playing and people laughing. I groaned again, and Rylee ignored me, getting out of the car.
Regrettably, I followed him inside the house, only to find more of what was outside. There was only about ten people awake, either talking and laughing with each other over the music, or making out. Beside me, Rylee laughed. "I'm guessing Ciera made the drinks."
I smirked, getting the joke. Ciera's alcohol tolerance was very high, so when she made drinks, they weren't weak. As if thinking about her brung her to life, we saw her walking towards us, a drink in her hand. "Nix! Rylee! You made it!"
"Late, but we're here," Rylee said, grumbling himself. I was never going to hear the end of this.
Ciera was a pretty girl; not my type, but pretty. She was average height for most girls I've seen, and she had very long, black hair that went past her waist. Her eyes were contrast to the darkness of her hair, being so hazel they were almost yellow. "Either way, I'm glad you guys are here," she said cheerfully before talking a drink. She then turned to Rylee. "Melisa is looking for you by the way. She's upstairs."
Rylee grinned then. "See you in an hour, Nix," he said to me before pushing past Ciera and rushing up the stairs. I rolled my eyes again. I guess this is what Rylee called 'hanging out".
"Want something to drink?" Ciera asked me, interrupting my thoughts.
She held her cup out to me, and I took it gratefully. "Yeah, thanks," I told her, and started chugging down the drink. The liquid was fruity, like most girl drinks are, but burned down my throat and caused my face to heat up. I quickly handed the drink back to her and walked over to the couch to sit down; I already started to feel lightheaded.
"Too strong?" Ciera asked, sitting down next to me.
I smirked. "You think? Have you not seen the people around here?"
She laughed a little and took a little sip of her drink before setting it on the floor. "So, how's your girlfriend?"
"I don't have a girlfriend," I answered tiredly. I knew what was coming next; she was going to tell me that I was hot.
"Really?" she asked, surprised. "But you're so hot."
Nailed it. "Thanks," I replied simply. If I said anything more she could carry out with this conversation, and I wasn't too interested. I mean sure, she was pretty, but whenever I'm not with Rylee I spend most of my time with Kace so I can't- …what the fuck?
Without thinking, I turned to Ciera, and pulled her into my lap. She smiled, and bit her lip before moving her body closer to mine. I took her waist, willing her to be closer, and brought my mouth to hers. Answering, she kissed me back and ran her hands under my shirt, being to peel it off. This felt wrong, but right now, I just don't care.
