Aron searched his brain for ideas.
He couldn't find any.
Suddenly, the python swung its tail at him.
Aron ducked for cover, and as a reflex, used Earth Mastery (D) to create a shield. It was just then that Aron remembered he had stolen Earth Mastery (D) from the sludges. Aron wondered if he could make any use of this skill.
The python tried to hit him with its tail again.
Aron was prepared for its attack. He dodged and backed away from the python.
This time he was on the same side of the clearing as Alissa.
He held onto Alissa and used Earth Mastery (D).
Cracks appeared on the ceiling of the dungeon, and huge boulders fell in the direction of the python.
Aron was sweating profusely. Using Earth Mastery (D) was sapping lots of his strength.
Still, he persisted and managed to bury the snake in rubble.
Although the ceiling hadn't collapsed, most of the rocks covering it had been clawed away by Aron. Aron questioned himself if it was possible to remove the ceiling of a dungeon.
He then headed towards the python.
Even though he was tired, he ran towards the python. He didn't want the python to escape from the boulders.
He reached for his mithril sword and pierced it through the python's eyes.
The snake released shrieks of agony. It tried to use Poison Breath (D), however, Aron quickly cut off its tongue when it opened its mouth.
Aron hoped that the snake would die of blood loss. He had cut all the body parts he could and didn't think his sword could pierce through the python's impenetrable skin.
Alissa, seeing Aron's predicament, tossed an explosive potion, which burst the python into smithereens. All that was left were its dropped items, the Colossal Python's venomous fangs.
Aron marveled. Even though he knew that Alissa's potions were deadly, he never thought they were this potent.
Alissa gloated when she saw Aron's awestruck expression. Then, she decided to set camp with Aron to let him rest.
Aron didn't argue with Alissa's decision to set up camp. Although he wanted to leave the dungeon as early as possible, he was too exhausted to continue exploring the dungeon.
He tried to help Alissa set up camp, but immediately his feet gave away, and he fell onto the ground.
Aron saw Alissa giggle when he fell, however, he was too tired to retort.
