Aron took a nap for about an hour. When he woke up, it was 11 AM, an hour away from noon.
Aron and Alissa quickly packed up their camping equipment and went further into the dungeon.
Aron was relieved that they didn't encounter any more Colossal Pythons in the dungeon. Even though he had defeated the snake, he had required luck and Alissa's help. If he had confronted it once more, he wasn't sure he could defeat it. This got him wondering. If the python was this strong, the boss monster must be on a whole different level. He shivered thinking about the boss monster's strength.
Just as he was thinking about the boss monster, a shadow darted towards him.
Aron was surprised. He hadn't expected an ambush.
He realized that the monsters in a dungeon aren't always in a clearing, they could also be in the passageway.
Aron dodged the monsters swipe and looked towards the monster.
As he was staring at the creature, Alissa handed a potion to him. She explained that it helps cure petrification.
Aron didn't understand what she meant, but he quickly took it, since she must have had some reason for giving it. He thanked her and then asked her why she didn't have one for herself.
She replied, "I don't have any need for it, since I am much stronger than the monster. Also, I don't have enough supplied to make two potions."
Aron never knew that she made her potions in the dungeon. He marveled at the fact that she could make potions in seconds. He hadn't even noticed her make the potion, but then he frowned. He didn't want to take the only potion she made for himself.
He tried to hand it back to her, however, the monster, again, tried to attack him.
Aron barely managed to dodge and keep the potion from spilling. His shirt was torn by the monster's claws. Aron wondered why the creature kept attacking him.
He couldn't make out its features, since it was hidden in the dark, but he could see it looked extremely similar to a human. As he was gazing at it, he heard Alissa warn him not to look at the monster's face. Aron decided to listen to Alissa and brought out his appraisal lens. He then pointed it towards the monster's feet.

Aron jumped with joy when he saw the Medusa's second skill. It had the ability Appraisal (C). He immediately transferred it to himself.
He also realized why the Medusa kept targeting him. The monster must have seen the vast difference between his and Alissa's stats, so it was aiming for him. It wasn't confident that it could beat Alissa.
Aron didn't notice as the Medusa rushed towards him.
When he finally finished checking the Medusa's stats and transferring Appraisal (C), the monster was already next to him.
The Medusa was trying to make Aron gaze at its eyes and petrify him.
Aron tried to shut his eyes and thought he was too late. However, when he opened his eyes, he was shocked at the sight before him.
