The steps surrounding the dome started shifting. They rotated counterclockwise and the tip of the dome started elevating.
When the dome finally stopped moving, tons of dust had spread around the clearing. All they could see was the shadow of the newly shaped dome.
At first, Aron and Alissa wondered what had happened.
However, soon, Aron and Alissa gasped in surprise as the made out the shape standing before them.
Looming them stood a giant snake, the size of a three story house.
Its head reached the ceiling of the dungeon, and its tongue stuck out, dripping poisonous venom.
Aron quickly dusted himself and stood up. Then, he grabbed his weapon and stood, ready to attack.
Alissa also reached into her spacial artifact to grab a few potions, but hesitating, she decided not to.
She hollered to Aron, "You fend the snake off yourself! This will be a good time to test your skills!"
Although she had told Aron to handle the monster himself, she was in a guarded stance, ready to protect Aron if he got injured.
Aron was too busy using his appraisal lens on the snake to argue with Alissa (Not that he could anyways. Alissa was his boss).

Aron staggered, seeing the Colossal Python was a D class monster. However, he quickly got out of his shock and ran up the python's tail aiming for its head.
However, the python tried to use Grab (D) on Aron. Although it failed to get hold of Aron, it still successfully flung Aron off its body.
Aron groaned from the impact as he fell onto the floor.
He again tried to run up the snake's body. This time he successfully managed to reach the snakes neck, or where he thought was the snake's neck.
He used Fire Mastery (D) on his sword and tried to cut the snake, however, it was no use. The flames weren't strong enough, and the sword was too weak.
Aron cursed the snake's skin for being so hard.
The snake, as if sensing the bad thoughts in Aron's head, used poison breath.
Poison mist spread out throughout the whole clearing.
Aron was lucky that he managed to escape the mist, but now, he was on the other side of the clearing. Opposite to him stood Alissa, unfazed by the poison mist.
At first, Aron was worried that Alissa suffer from the poison, but his worries were unneeded for. It turned out Alissa had an antidote with her. Aron wanted to slap his forehead. Of course Alissa had antidotes with her, she was an alchemist.
Aron again headed towards the Colossal Python, trying to put up a fight.
