Chapter 9 - Pondering

As Sava'Sun said they would, the children had been taken to the Dicitio (God who worships healing) ward to have their memories wiped of Ebijac. Even Hal'Sun and Sava'Sun are getting treatment at the emperors command. They simply would not have to worry know that Ty'Maign had the conjure trapped on his soul.

This left Ty'Maign with Zan'Iza alone at 5he house of orphans.

Zan'Iza sat on an chair near the door, while Ty'Maign paces around the common room. He had learnt much since his arrival the previous day. Firstly the black door lead to the boys sleeping area, while the white door lead the the girls sleeping area. Secondly Sava'Sun is in charge of the children's well being while Hal'Sun takes car of legal, economics, and planning their futures, as any father does. Thirdly he learnt that he hated every aspect of being treated like a child.

"Why am I forced to stay within this reached place! I am..." Ty'Maign stopped. Last time he had mentioned he is not a child he was nearly killed by an invisible force.

Zan'Iza shrugged his shoulders and leant back casually.

"The city streets are not a safe place right now. Especially with the rumors of Jeju having nearly enough subjects to compete with Resa, Ustu and Iranik. It be much worse for a child such as yourself. You are an easy catch."

Ty'Maign stopped dead in his tracks and glared at Zan'Iza. His face filled with red.

"I am not an easy 'catch.' I happen to be quite skilled with the little stats I have. I managed to defeat a knight of the palace you know."

Zan'Iza stood up an stretched.

"Ya, ya, so you keep saying. But there are house rules. No leaving the house without either Hal'Sun or Sava'Sun's permission, no staying out past sunset, no going into the sleeping area of the opposite sex, no messing with Sava'Sun's kitchen, no going into Hal'Sun's study, all money you obtain is given to Hal'Sun except for your monthly allowance, you must complete all your chores or you do not get your allowance or supper, and everyone in the house of orphans are considered siblings. Oh, and no fighting either."

Ty'Maign snarled. He had gotten the same lecture from Sava'Sun yesterday.

"I don't have time to worry about rules. I need to start acquiring points. Now shut up so I can think!"

Zan'Iza went up to Ty'Maign and patted him on then shoulder.

"I think you are at a lost. There are no ways to earn points unless you have a sponsor. There just isn't a way around that."

Ty'Maign shoved Zan'Iza.

"I am thinking! I do despise the CPS however it has become embedded into society. I cannot rely on my talent and knowledge alone. Of course, in order to survive you must have good stats. Now depending on which sponsor I take limits my careers as well. Despite that, I myself have no interest in any of that. What I do care about is about becoming a celestial to have my revenge. But in order to achieve that I must compromise my moral and partake in the CPS. I must use what I despise in order to destroy it, however it is dictated by my enemies who will rig the system. So, I must first find one of my siblings who I can trust but also benefits my needs. However I have thousands of siblings. Choosing one is a difficult task. Clearly the more well known ones are out of the question which eliminates six, also Amalgo is out of the question leaving me with seven less siblings to select from."

Zan'Iza shook his head and rolled his eyes.

"I have no idea what you just said, all I heard is that you are looking for a sponsor."

Zan'Iza sat back down and stared at the ceiling. Ty'Maign continued to pace around the room. Each became lost in their own thoughts.
