But Fantalasia never sleeps, any day, and is active as much as a lioness in the day, and a lion in the night.
From Victoria, they took their carriages and started their journey the next day at 7 in the morning. As they came out of the city gates, the countryside starts to spread out. It was relaxing. As they go a couple of miles they find village folk with flutes and harps, playing the most beautiful music ever. Behind them is the tallest range on Fantalasia, Platina. The mountains' strength gives the countryside valour and courage. It's a long journey to Bajista, where they will have their final work to do-Fighting Aquilla. It may take a month to go there. As they are at the equator of the planet, snow melts after two weeks, and here near the villages, there is only fog-no snow. "It's surprising to have no snow living by the mountains," said Dan.
As the snow melts, spring, the season of life, comes out. Our hero's fight is in spring. He has to be more concentrated than powerful to defeat him.
It's December 26, and the new year's coming very soon. They don't wanna travel during the new year time. So they decided to take shelter at the village they have arrived. The village is Hampton. The village has a population of 10,000. They decided to stay in the house of a trader named Williams. Willams offered the two shelter and food. Williams is a trader of costly and exotic items like perfumes, lotions, rugs, musks, coats, leather straps, potions and herbs. He is guided by a horse. For Christmas and New Year, he has come to his home, where he lives with his family. He lives with his wife and two children-twins a boy and a girl, aged 10.
Dan had a good time that evening with them. The children showed Dan and Fayrette their so-called 'treasures'-buttons, silk cloth, metal ornaments, wooden toys and many more. Dan enjoyed seeing those with enthusiasm, though they were very simple for his age. Fayrette and many more fairies love children. And you have guessed it, they were getting together by playing.
It's time for dinner. Winter dinner is the best in Fantalasia. The dinner was Whole Chicken, Soup Noodles, and some starters like Stuffed Vegetables and Sauce. They enjoyed the dinner and went back to their beds for chatting.
They spent the time until midnight-playing folk tours like moving wooden carts, wooden horses and cows, tops and darts, not to forget some board games and marbles. They also talked about their adventures. Isaac, the boy, told, "You know, me and Rebecca went boating in a sailboat through the nearby river, Thompson. It was an exciting g journey. We were flowing across the snowy mountains, the caves, the wetlands, and the farmlands. We both enjoyed that day."
"Isaac's right. We didn't bring anything needed for camping, except for some pieces of cloth and blankets. We made a big tent under an oak tree. We made our food by catching fish. But, there came a bear and her five cubs. She was hunting fish. She had mistakenly missed big salmon which Isaac caught with a baskets little further away from the bear. We didn't know whether the bear was angry or not, but it groaned. We were scared and rushed into our tent. That was a thrilling experience, you know." said Rebecca.
"My favourite time," the fairy said, "is with Dan I guess. You know, fairies like helping and working tough. Dan is the best person I have ever worked for because it's a job of saving people."
"Don't say beautiful words about me! It's not even that tremendous.", said Dan.
They talked even more until finally, the kids' parents told them to sleep. By the way, Dan and Fayrette slept too, looking forward to the tasks tomorrow.
