They all were hungry. The kids hugged them and welcomed their friends with pets they didn't tell about yesterday. They introduced Emerald, a parrot, and Obsidian, a Husky dog.
After Dan and the fairy saw it, they remembered something. They looked at each other's foolish faces. Fayette replied, "Umm.....Dan, Haven't we forgotten Camb."
"Yes!... I didn't even see him on Christmas.
"Very well then, what are we gonna do?"
"I'm sure Camb must've come here; he's never absent-minded. Maybe he would've sneaked into the carriage?"
"Let's go and see for him, then."
They went for the carriage, searched the entire thing of it, and found nobody. They were withered. "Maybe we lost him?", Fayette muttered.
At this moment, it was peculiar that whether Camb could understand humans' language of feelings or whatever, Camb howled and Ran towards Dan, in that cold night, the stars shimmered above, and a gentle night breeze went over the nearby spruce trees, making delicate cones and withered leaves hover above the ground.
Dan ran towards Camb, hollering for him, above the small stone bridge atop the stream with silvery fish and apple-green ducks. 'Owowowowowowowowowowow", howled Camb, as Dan hugged him, Fayette following behind. They took him home and gave him a chicken leg, as he seemed hungry.
Dan and Fayette couldn't know what has happened, but they didn't mind about the past. They let Camb play with Obs (short for Obsidian). They enjoyed it very well. The only difference was their physical features. Camb's coat is blue, but Obs's is Grey, but both had blue eyes though.
The children too joined the game, they were just chasing themselves inside the room. Fayette is the referee, and Dan's the spectator. They enjoyed themselves very well that night.
The next day, as they planned, they decided to go around the village. It's December 28, and the whole planet is getting ready for the new year. Dan took one of his horses, Hadrian, which he bought in Victoria. If you ask about the other horse, he found a hungry horse around the plains in the countryside. He gave it some carrots he had in the stock. He thought of taming the horse because Hadrian is feeling difficulty pulling the carriage. The horse liked Dan and ate more and more carrots. He named it Aurelius, after Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius.
He helped Hadrian to put on his saddle and bridle and straightened the harnesses. The saddle was velvet and silky. They packed food items like cup noodles, buns, sandwiches, some veggies and fruits and some spices in a small, hanging bag, and other camping items like ropes, a lighter, a small knife, some cotton, towels and sheets made from cotton, and a tent set in a trekking bag. It would be cold out there so they put on their jackets, including for Camb!
And, they set off at 9 am, after finishing their breakfast. They see that the village is decorated very beautifully with light and other sorts of things. They decide to go along the River Thompson. They follow it up for 3 miles South and get over a bridge, then 5 miles South and 2 miles West, where they arrived at Lake Tennyson, with beautiful hills surrounding it. There was a small community here as well, with a population of 1,000.
Just near the small, wooden port, where boats stand, there was an inn. It was the Reynolds Inn. They decided to stay there. It was the only place in that area that had an ATM beside it. Dan took 750 basils from it. In return, you have to give something. Dan was worried. Just then the fairy did some magic. "Abracadabra, give me 10 gold coins, whoosh!". She spelt and ten gold coins were produced before Dan's hands, Dan was happy and gave one coin to the ATM. He put the coin into a hole intended to do so.
They went inside for the reception. The receptionist greeted them and told them there are three types of accommodation you could book. The first is VIP booking; the second is camp booking (for campers and trekkers; the third, is short-term booking (for brief relaxation).
They booked camp booking, Room 14, ground floor, for 50 basils. Now they have 700 basils. There's also a port connected to the lake, which belongs to the inn.
The Reynolds Inn is an inn owned by the Reynolds family. The inn is famous for its meat dishes, particularly seafood. It is best suited for weary traders or fishermen who want leisure time for a day or two.
They keep their goods and went for a walk around the lake, sightseeing the beauty of the Lake. "I like relaxing around the countryside.", said Fayette.
"Yes, we could relieve our stress through nature."
"Dan, I'm surprised. You are a brave person. You have helped many other people to save the planet. You must be proud of this."
"No. I'm not proud. I feel like this is just a small help that I can do for people around me. I just think it like that."
"Great consideration, Dan. I like that thought."
As they spoke, they walked slowly and went back to the inn for lunch.
Their lunch was flatbread, some vegetables and a salmon. Fayette took a very small slice of shrimp and for Camb, Chicken wings. They ate their lunch very well and had a nap.
After their nap, they went boat riding. They were in the canoe until sunset. They enjoyed it very well. Tomorrow, they are gonna do fishing in there.
While walking the way to the inn, Dan bought a chocolate bar for him, (fitting for size) an orange-flavoured carbonated juice can for Fayette and...a hug for Camb. Aww!
For dinner, they had a great feast. Everyone enjoyed the dinner. The thing is that, the dishes would be laid on a table, and we could take whatever we want and how much we would wish for.
Dan took 3 Chicken legs, flatbread and meatball gravy, salad and a small salmon fish. Fayette took a small piece of steak, a spicy sardine (head and tail removed), and some gravy. Camb got 'chicken-flavoured dog food with the fragrance of mint and parsley, and the goodness of proteins and carbs' What a big name!
