By the by, our heroes are gonna face lots of challenges in the upcoming days. And, they didn't know they would get an unworthy welcome so soon...
December 31, New Year's eve. Very auspicious day. The village was decorated very beautifully with lights and colourful hanging flags. On this day, there's gonna be a lot of shopping and magic!
In the morning, Dan, Fayette, Camb and the Williams family went on the carriage to the village market festival. Lots of stalls were set up, just as they've traded in the nearby town. Williams had brought all those fishes to sell. This time, they're not bartering but selling the fish and buying from the money.
They put up a shady awning, using the horse carriage. They then spread out the items and put up small signboards, in which the product's name and price were written. Williams also had lots of sweaters, wool, thread, lotions and perfumes. He indeed brought them here. It was a cloudy day. The wind was cool. The leaves moved gently in the breeze as if dancing for the New Year. It was very cold, and the fog took its share of place not higher than a 3 storey building in the sky. Everyone present there put on their jackets. Slowly, people started coming out and started selling and buying things.
They got good money after selling all the fish. They got 1000 basils back. Williams resisted Dan to take half of the money, but Dan refused. At least he persuaded Dan to have 100 basils from his wallet as a New Year gift. By the time they had sold all the fish. It's almost lunchtime. It wouldn't be fun eating in a restaurant at festive times. That's where street food comes. They are gonna eat lunch in the nearby food stalls up the street.
They found a food stall, sat at the tables. Dan and Williams gave the money, each giving half of the amount. All the humans got Spiced Fried Chicken, Flatbread and Meatball gravy. Fayette gets soup noodles, and Camb, a Chicken leg specially cooked and stylized for fidos and felines.
They relaxed for some time. Later they started buying things. Fayette said:
"How about buying some decoratives for the house...and some necessities for our job, Dan?"
"That's good, Fayette. But, Williams had already kept them in stock. Let's buy the needed things for our tour."
"We are running out of supplies, Dan. Let's get a small log of oak wood. Note them on a list."
"Alright, noted"
"Also, we need a can of gasoline, an icebox, some beef and ham, also some bacon, coffee, and some maps of Fantalasia."
"Okay. let's buy them."
Williams bought some groceries, as everything was on sale. Soon, Dan too bought the items. Dan already told Williams that he would continue his journey, and leave the house tomorrow morning. As Williams was weighing the groceries(of course, by magic), Dan and Fayette packed all the items they've bought. Their plan is that they would b]go to the same town where they went to see that lake. The boat is still Dan's property. The plan is that they would park the carriage and the horses on the deck of the boat, as the boat has a vehicle parking opening, which could be closed and opened. Even after keeping the horses and carriages, there would be plenty of space in there. In the deck was the bunker, where they would sleep and cook, as there's an in-built stove, and that's where gasoline comes. It's a gasoline-powered stove, not by LPG or natural gas. There's also a shower in there, only one, and a toilet.
They would board the ship tomorrow and reach Bajista by water means. Dan has planned that, at times, when they would stop at decks, he would add wheels to the boat, so that they could move on land too. You can say it could be done by magic right now, but, a person never knows all the magic-it's difficult.
Those wheels would be somewhat small, made of steel. Dan decides to attach a motor to it. He already has one, so there's no problem.
For the New Year party, they had cooked lots of meat. Do you think I mentioned Williams' family? No. The party was organised by the people of the village on the same ground where the stalls were put up. Madonna took some rest that day and didn't cook. It's 8 at night. Today's dinner is gonna be late, at 10. Until that time, Dan, Camb, Fayette, Isaac and Rebecca played lots of outdoor fun activities. The whole town was locked in a jar filled with jam made from joy. The heroes and the kids frolicked in the dark, which is lit by the exquisite lanterns and lively tasks, carried out under shady awnings decorated with lights. It started snowing a little. The beautiful snowflakes danced in the sky. Dan decided to do some magic. He did some movements in his hands and let the magic activate the snowflakes. The snowflakes sparkled in the air, like jellyfish in the deep blue.
Dinner was ready in some time. They had their meal and waited for the New Year. The church rang 11 times as the clock struck 11. All of them prayed the year to be prosperous. It was a proud moment in every heart. The clock stuck at twelve, and rockets bursted and cheers picked up volume. Everybody was very happy at this time, exchanging greetings and hugs.
Nobody on this planet knows they would get more than a prosperous year, nor they don't know their life in the next day would be the survival of the fittest. Nor they don't know what they will lose and what they will gain, nor they wouldn't realize the sufferings of a person saving a whole planet, nor that same person knows what he would get on fulfilling his mission, nor he wouldn't know why he came here until he successfully finished the quest.
Most importantly, nobody knows that their life would change after the birth of the graceful horse...
