Lake Tennyson seemed to be wishing for Dan's upcoming. So does the Inn, the sun and the whole of Gorrion. Let us too wish Dan his adventures.
They would navigate to Bajista through River Honey. From there they would enter Bajista's border by River Rosemary. Dan entered the river of sweetness, River Honey. Fayette wanted a sip. Dan too couldn't resist. They heard many stories of this mysterious River Honey. It has been found that this river would indeed look like "River Honey" at dawn and dusk when the sun is low on the horizon.
Some people also say that the water of this river, when drank by someone, will give them refreshment and could revive almost any dead living thing to live, except for mammals and birds. They say it could also cure many dangerous diseases and could help lower the risk of heart attacks and cancers. I know. Some of you would think this is too much of that. But that is what the people would say here. All over, it's Fantalasia and everything here's magic.
Dan was very excited. He decided that he should have two barrels of River Honey water. "Am I greedy?" He said. Fayette didn't agree with that. "Anyways, it's just water." He then thought for some time and started taking some water. Indeed he wasn't greedy, because however much water you take, some more water will be replaced. It could be drained only by some powerful enchanters.
As you see the river, you feel like you are in heaven. The flow of water, the gentle sound, the lovely music of nature, the view of the landscape - the clouds, the birds, the settlements. All of these mesmerized Dan and Fayette. Even River Honey seemed to move like drifting honey.
It was late afternoon. They don't wanna travel at night, so they decided to rest in a riverside inn. It's New Year, and still, he found happiness everywhere. Where one side he saw some kids play football, at the same time he saw young ladies pick berries from a fruit-rich orchard.
Most of these adventures are indeed new to him. Fishing, building, selling, marketing and of course magic. All of these are new to him. He had only experienced horse rides and ship rides back in his hometown.
Evening slowly came. They were chatting all afternoon, about stories and many events. Dan found a sailor outpost on the right side of the river. There were many boats parked on a dock present there. The outpost was man-made - the river had been cut off on the right side for the outpost, maybe by dynamite or magic.
Dan parked the boat near the dock. Everyone got down from the boat. Indeed, River Honer looked like honey. Dan wasn't sure whether it was his mind playing tricks on him or whatever, but Fayette thought it was true.
There was a small market and a food stall there. There was also a stationery shop nearby. Dan wanted none from the market. They bought their lunch from the food stall. In the stationery shop, he got himself a small notebook, just in case to pen down anything, and of course a pen. There were many sailors there. Some were chatting and resting. A few were getting goods down and up in their boats, commanding their mates. There's a village nearby. It's very close. The outpost is being managed by them.
The three went for the village. It was a small one, indeed. It's a fishing village. They found the villages roaming around the outpost. Some villagers dragged their rowboats to the shore, packing their fish into sacks. Others were eating and singing, while many were just sitting and looking here and there, along with the lively outpost and the light of lanterns. It's New Year's night also, so there's no wonder about that.
Camb wanted to sniff around for a moment, just outside the village. He let him ramble, while he would be just doing the same. Fayette hovered in the sky, researching the flowers and plants that grew there. She found lots of thickets and brambles, while as a coincidence, a villager came too. The fairy greeted him, and so did the villager. "You look sweet!" said he with a friendly tendency. Fayette thanked him. He came to pluck some berries so that he could make some jam for the food stall. Fayette decided to help him with magic. He denied. He said solemnly:
"Berries and fruits wouldn't taste like the finest ones when they are plucked by magic. Nobody could stand against the earth. Only if you pluck them manually will you get their authenticity."
Fayette thought maybe this man's too much. He spoke just like the messenger of the Emperor showing off his authenticity, she thought. Moreover, fairies don't like anyone overacting, but maybe they like doing it by themselves.
But actually, those two must be lucky he's the only man and the other people at the outpost who spoke the language they know.
The three went to their boat to have their dinner nearby and get some resources. But what did they find? The boat's on fire. Dan looked around for any sailors. There were none. It's dinnertime and all of them have left. Dan and the fairy went rushing to the village. Camb barked along, as he too ran with them. "Help! Help! The boat's on FFFFFIIIIIIRRRRREEEEEE!"
The villager saw those three with innocent faces, thinking why those three fellows were running as if they were crazy. Dan found a nice young fellow watering his barren tree. "Yo! I'm shouting like a beast in front of your village. My boat's on fire! Help me!", barked Dan.
"Onus entrada migueno meow meow. Sinus zarya galtrayl meow meow." This was the reply from that young man.
Imagine how Dan's face would be. He ran away and found another one chopping wood for his butcher shop. Dan repeated the same. He said:
"Bow Bow Moo Moo, Bow Bow Moo Moo. Cock-a-doodle-doo."
Fayette slapped his face. Camb almost bit his leg. "Sir, I am sorry for that. I guess you can't help me!" Now that same villager whom Fayette had met earlier came.
"What's the problem, folks. Why for God's sake are these poor things crying?"
"My boat is on fire, you chap. Help me, please."
The villager came in a moment. They went to the dock and found nothing there but the burnt boat and a few sailors nearby. "We've successfully managed to scale the boat. We can start the painting tomorrow. Those four saw them all with dumbfounded faces. They turned around to see their boat all safe. That other boat looked like theirs and they burnt the metal boat to scale its thin skin made of plastic. Now, they were cleaning the boat from the melted plastic and would paint the boat tomorrow. The villager told them to take care and ran away like a roadrunner. Whatever, those remaining three thought and continued on their dinner.
