"Yuck! This is disgusting."
"Yes it is; you are new here, so you need to get used to the rules."
This place was the orphanage called 'The Gorshal Orphanage'. I guess there is no harm in calling it the worst orphanage in the city. Even the maid working there agreed to this fact.
We had to wake up at 6 and get out of our room at 8, make a line and march towards the dining hall, take our seats and eat our breakfast. The breakfast would be a soup with cabbage, mushroom and broccoli. It was indeed disgusting. After finishing the soup we make a line and get into our rooms. We weren't allowed to even get one step away from our rooms. At night in the same pattern we went to the dining hall and ate the same soup. On Saturdays, we used to get sausages along with the soup.
This didn't torture me but the thing that tortured me were the rules. I was a notorious boy and being notorious was against the rules. It was in the top list.
I am Aidy, the most wanted person in this orphanage. They call me the most notorious child but I think I am old enough to be called a child. My roommates are Harcin and Zindy. Unlike me, they are silent and they advise me not to be notorious but I wouldn't listen to them.
One day, without permission I was running in the corridor of the building. I suddenly slipped and fell upon a pile of old files. The heart stopped beating for a moment.
Luck wasn't on my side as Ms Jenia Bates, the owner of the orphanage was just roaming around. She beat me so hardly with a stick that the mark is still on my arm. I still remember that painful time when looking at the mark now. Ms Jenia even stopped my breakfast and supper for 5 days.
Tears rolled down my cheeks. All day I crouched myself into one corner of my room and sobbed. I didn't talk to anyone.
I no longer wanted to stay in that unholy place. So I thought of escaping. I took a pair of jeans from Harcin and escaped at midnight. The adventures to come after that escape are fun to listen, but if you were in my shoes, you would get how miserable I was.
