Getting her medicine, Sophia used the System Map to search for a hotel. Mostly a five-star hotel. This was because high-end hotels offer extra security to their customers no matter which type of room they book. As long as they were a customer, their privacy would be top-notch. Even mercenaries would have a hard time getting information about the person.
Usually, they would have to spend hundreds of thousands to get information depending on which room the person was in and how influential the hotel staff esteemed them to be. Many times they wouldn't even bend under the influence of money or power!
All in all, it was much better than having your information sold with the hint of money. If Sophia was to get her information leaked, they should pay the money for it no? She was very expensive, after all.
The nearest five-star hotel was Sapphire Hotel and it was about a mile away. Sapphire Hotel was one of the Top 5 hotels within Manoah Country. Even though Angel City was but a third-tier city compared to Niya City or Miko City, every district within the country was highly developed and hence a there was even a branch of listed hotel companies.
In fact, it shouldn't even come across as a shock because despite Angel City being a third-tier city, it was only because it only had 28 districts! Compared to the other two major cities in Manoah Country, Angel City was the smaller city!
Despite this, the headquarters of NG, one of the biggest IT company in within the country was located here. What more of a hotel branch?
Being labeled a third-tier city was not an insult to the city and nor did people look down upon Angel City. Within Manoah Country, the tiers were merely labels to show the population level within the city.
That being said Miko City was a first-tier city with a total of 76 districts, Niya City was a second-tier city with 48 districts, and then came Angel City with only 28 districts. These were only the three major cities within Manoah and each was highly developed.
Each city carried different vibes and designs but they all interconnected to form a deeply connected country. Even the little cities and districts that lined the three major ones.
If one were to travel from one major city to the next, the only difference they would find is population. Of course, it was natural for there to be various differences in the stores and type of housing available. No matter what, you wouldn't find any major differences between the three cities!
Having arrived at her destination, Sophia handed her baby over to the valet and entered the hotel with her shopping bag in hand. Walking up to the check-in counter on the left, Sophia booked herself a presidential suite.
The receptionist was surprised that a young girl at the age of 18-19 could afford a room that was worth hundreds of thousands just for the night! Taking a moment to overcome her shock, she asked Sophia to show her ID and show her face so that she can confirm her identity. Sophia wasn't really used to this because KL would always book her a room and all she had to do was go and pick up the key card. Nonetheless, Sophia complied, though a bit impatiently.
Having confirmed that she was booking the room for a full day, she paid for the room and left with the key card in hand. She wanted to give a few instructions but she was already at the elevator and she didn't really need it much so she just shrugged and let it go.
Sapphire Hotel had a total of 20 floors. There were three floors that consisted of presidential suites before a penthouse took place on the top-most floor. Being as it was, the penthouse was booked all year round by important figures! Coincidently, the only presidential room that wasn't booked at the moment was the one on the 19th floor.
Naturally, Sophia, who didn't give sh*t about where she landed as long as she could ensure her privacy and not get disturbed unnecessarily, booked it. She was pretty lucky. You can't always just pop up at a hotel and have a presidential suite unbooked. After all, rich people tended to have their own eccentric tastes.
Even if they didn't use it, they would keep a room booked all year round for no f*cking reason at all. Perhaps to show off their power and influence? Whatever it was, they sure were eccentric in every god d*mn thing!
Having entered her room, Sophia looked around the suite and explored it briefly. After ensuring that everything was alright, Sophia moved towards the phone near the bed and called for some food. She also told them not to disturb her with any calls unless it was an emergency after the food was delivered.
Knowing that the food would take a while to come, Sophia undressed and took a proper look at her wounds. Well, one couldn't look at themselves properly just with their eyes so Sophia went to the bathroom to take a better look with the help of the full-body mirror.
There were multiple black and blue bruises all over her body. Many were covering her arms, stomach, and her back. Besides the long slit on her waist, there were also multiple abrasions and scratches covering her body.
The only concerning thing was the open slit on her side. It had a high chance of getting infected and once that happens it would be bad. Well, how could getting infected ever be a good thing?
Clearly, she couldn't take a shower with the wound so she searched the bathroom drawers until she found a packet of wet cloth wipes. The ones meant for giving a sponge bath so she used it to clean up her body carefully. Her hair would have to wait for a few days before she can wash it. It wasn't really a problem since she had washed it yesterday so she was okay with not washing it. Not everyone has the time to wash their hair every day nor does everyone wish to wash their every day. More importantly, being a hardworking girl in her life, Sophia went on for days without washing her hair or her body because she would be too busy taking care of a mission. Not washing her hair after a day of moving about was barely anything compared to those.
Sophia cleaned the slit carefully before wrapping it up in some gauze. She then proceeded to put on a balm over her black and blue bruises. It had a cooling effect and was the best for these types of wounds because it was skin sensitive. The chemicals inside it allowed the cream to act as a personal caretaker providing the right amount of cool and heat needed to take care of the bruises. With that cream, one wouldn't need to worry about changing the hot and cold patches because the cream had the ability to do so all by itself!
By the time she was done dressing her wounds, Sophia heard the doorbell ring and so she tied the bathrobe around her and got to the door. It was her food delivery and having no interest in having anyone inside the room, Sophia took over the trolley and closed the door.
Her stomach was weak and not wanting to agitate it any further, Sophia had ordered some bland and soft food that was easier on the stomach. Getting to her seat, Sophia grabbed her food before she used the remote control to close the d*mn curtains and turn the whole suite dark. She soon finished her food before heading to the bed and drifting off to sleep on the big and soft bed.
Perhaps she was just not affected by it at all, or perhaps she was still living in a daze so she couldn't understand what's happening, or maybe she just didn't give a f*ck. No matter what, Sophia had drifted off to sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow and she felt the comforting presence of Sachi. Nothing seemed to disturb her and she slept peacefully through the day.
