The 5G System was one that didn't give out information unless it was required during an active mission or unless the master specifically asks for orders. Hence, Sophia currently had no idea about the huge man-made storm that was coming her way tomorrow.
At this time she was walking to a mall parking lot that was located a block away. According to her instructions, KL had parked a low-key luxury sports car for her inside there.
Once Sophia was inside she quickly grabbed the keys from the valet with a code and went for the car parked in another dark corner. Since she was only 18 and Luna didn't have her driving license yet, Sophia had put on a mask before she came here so that it wouldn't be as noticeable.
Getting inside the sports car that was designed to look like a mere sedan all the while containing the perks of having a sports car. Considering how much she travels for many reasons this car and her motorcycle were her best assets to go to. They were both convertibles! Even if they were disguised as low-key they could still perform like the real deal!
Quickly igniting the engine Sophia made her way to Sugar Honies that was merely 4 districts away from her current location. As it was only 6 in the evening, the evening traffic was merely starting hence it didn't take long for Sophia to reach the twenty-story building that held the Sugar Honies branch for Niya City.
The night had just started but inside the building, tension filled the air.
When Sophia got up to the nineteenth floor where the girls were being taken care of, she was met with a suffocating tension-filled air. What greeted her was not the same weak and girls who had fainted on her with pain and fear after being drugged but rather these girls were in a f*cking staring contest with the doctors that KL had brought over under her orders. Neither side was willing to back off!
Besides the two girls who were still hadn't woken up due to their severe condition, the rest were all up and staring at the doctors and nurses. All on their guards they looked like scared cats that had backed away in a corner with their claws outstretched and ready to attack. Their eyes were glaring at the doctors warning them not to get near.
Heaving a hopeless sigh, Sophia stood at the entrance of the room. Scurrying footsteps rang in the hallway before a man around his late twenties showed up behind Sophia with sweat dripping down the sides of his head. He opened his mouth to welcome her but before a sound could escape Sophia's cold and authoritative voice rang in the air.
"What are you guys doing?"
it was a simple question. However, the way she said it sent chills down everyone's back causing them to forget about the silent war they were having just a moment before. Despite being a little afraid they were more relieved as if they had seen their savior.
Indeed.
Sophia was their savior.
She saved the girls and the doctors and nurses were those that she had gathered from her years of work. For the doctors and nurses, they were all either saved or picked up from various places at their worst and taken care of since then. Others were won over by her just ways of leading and her numerous skills.
For them, she was their god and her words were always right. No matter what she tells them to do they wouldn't even dare hesitate before taking action. Their faith in her was immeasurable or else why would they still stay with Sugar Honies despite her being absent for four years with no news of her?
Why would they be here at one call from KL despite not knowing whether she was still alive or not?
Were they not shaken by her absence?
Truth be told, they missed her dearly. Yet their faith in her allowed them to stay behind and wait for her. To them, unless there was irrefutable news, she was still out there somewhere. Even if she doesn't come back, Sugar Honies was their home. The home that Sophia had built for them hence no matter what, their goal was to keep this lighthouse going. For all the kindness she had shown them, they would wait for her and keep her living on even if she was dead.
Very few knew that Sophia Harper was the real boss of Sugar Honies, however, all of them knew that Sophia was closer to the real boss than KL himself who ran Sugar Honies. To them, knowing that Sophia Harper was alive was akin to knowing their real boss was also alive. More than that, it was always Sophia who came out in the open to interact and take care of them hence they were closer to her. Despite hearing the news that she had died, they dared not believe it.
For those with weaker hearts and had gotten swayed by the news they merely believed that she was dead. However, that didn't mean that their faith in Sophia was gone.
To them, knowing that she was alive or dead meant no difference. They were still determined to bring justice to the world and earn money to make the world a better place. To them their goal was still to keep their home and lighthouse, Sugar Honies, going further into the future. If she was alive, great. She would be proud of them for making Sugar Honies live on. If she was dead, then her name shall live on with them inside their hearts and with all of Sugar Honies.
The girls on the other hand were different. They had merely met her once in the middle of the night while she was saving them. Some were not even conscious when she met them hence they should be cautious of her as they were to the doctors and other nurses. Surprisingly they weren't.
Instead, for those that were awake, their eyes starting shining as their gaze landed on Sophia. They didn't know who she was or why she was here, but a part of them just made them want to cry out their grievances to her. It was as though their bodies knew that this person was going to help them and comfort them.
A part of them was still cautious about this strong lady, but mostly they just knew that she could be trusted hence with tear-filled eyes they stared at Sophia as though they have been wronged by the world.
Looking at their gazes, Sophia's heart softens a bit but no one knew because she wasn't 'Sophia' but the 'new' secretary of the real boss of Sugar Honies that has come to visit.
Perhaps she was affected by their gazes, hence her voice was much gentler than before, Sophia questions the people inside the room once again. "What happened?"
"Boss! We took good care of them while they were unconscious but once they woke up they wouldn't let us get near them at all! We can't even do the basic checks!" The one who spoke up was a male doctor named Leo. He was trying to take care of those girls but they just wouldn't accept them! He was very angry!
Though he could understand their fear, he was still enraged! It had been f*cking 12 hours since the last time they were able to get near them! At this rate, their hard work would all go to waste and the girl's lives would be in danger once again! His eyes held great grievance as he glared at a few of the girls before holding up his wet eyes towards Sophia.
Sophia understood the hidden meaning in his words hence she looked up at the girls. Her eyes urging someone to speak up.
