Seeing the urging gaze upon them, most of the girls were still shying away from her gaze. They knew in their hearts that this person could be trusted yet they just couldn't bring themselves to speak up.
Finally after about a good minute of hesitation, one of the stronger girls who had seen Sophia the night before spoke. "Miss! It's not our fault! They keep coming to us with different syringes and medicines! They don't really explain what they are giving us and we fear that they might be harming us instead. How are we supposed to trust them?" Her eyes and expression were filled with childlike innocence. "Look! He keeps glaring at us!"
Caden who was caught glaring at Sara for her lies: "..."
Sophia obviously knew what was happening.
These girls were scared. They didn't know medicine nor any form of self-defense. They had barely escaped from their traffickers and were now stuck in a white room with multiple beds. Doctors and nurses kept bustling in one after the other giving them random injections and IV fluids.
Their sudden interaction with people other than those bodyguards and their traffickers left them terrified! Besides the uniformed clothes made them feel like they were back inside the hospital with their traffickers. How could they not feel scared?
However, these doctors were more easygoing and different from the ones they were used to. They didn't force them with anything and it seemed as though they would never force a drug on them hence they were more determined to protect themselves! It never hit their heads that they might be good people who were genuinely trying to help them.
It was only at this moment that the girls who were awake came to their senses. Seeing Sophia here they remembered her last words and instantly felt ashamed of themselves. This kind lady was trying to help them but here they were rejecting her help! How ungrateful of them!
Sophia could naturally see the guilt inside their eyes Sophia was rather pleased. At least they knew their wrong.
"These doctors are the ones I have instructed to help you with the drug. Currently, your healths are very unstable and you guys need to make a decision about your future very quickly. If you want to live you better stop rejecting their advances and let them take care of you. Once your health stabilizes a bit more, a nurse will explain your future choices. No matter what you choose, Sugar Honies, will always be an option for you all. Is that clear?" Sophia had made her way to the middle of their room and looked around at the sixteen girls who were all currently on their individual beds.
Many had lowered their heads after hearing her words while the rest were on their bed still sleeping.
Sara had spoken up once again. "Miss, what will happen to us?"
Shifting her gaze to Sara, Sophia was rather direct with her words. "Your identity makes it hard to get justice yourself hence there is nothing much you can do. You guys have the option to do whatever you want after you get well. You can enter the world once again as yourselves or stay here in Sugar Honies and build your future together like the rest of these people here. The choice is yours but at this moment our only goal is to get you well. Unless you think otherwise, our wish is for you all to comply with our actions. Your safety is our priority and you can trust us. Take your time and make your choice. Do you want to live?"
Sara lowered her head once again. The room went silent. The silence in the big room was rather stifling but no one dared to speak or breathe loudly. The doctors and nurses were all lined up near the entrance of the room waiting quietly for further instructions. The girls had their heads lowered, silently contemplating their decisions.
Sophia on the other hand quietly and gracefully picked up a chair nearby and took it to the back of the room. From her location, she could see everything, and everyone could see her. She seemed like the queen silently waiting for her subjects to speak up.
Minutes passed by in silence. Before long, a faint voice was heard within the room.
"I want to live."
Perhaps gaining more confidence in their words, they spoke once again but with a louder and more determined voice. "I want to live!"
The other girls also seemed to have also come to a decision.
"I want to live!"
"I want to live!"
"I want to live!"
The chant rang reverberated inside the room. Their words and the determination in their voices made everyone's blood boil. Even the two girls who were seemingly still unconscious had woken up.
Despite the confusion in their eyes, a glint of hope seemed to have lit up inside their eyes. Despite not knowing what was happening, these two girls also starting chanting along with their feeble voices. "I want to live."
The corner of Sophia's lips curved up in a slight smile. Sophia's strong voice rang within the room. "Alright then. Get started, they want to live!"
Caden, who was the leader of the doctors came back from his daze and started issuing orders right off the back of his head. "Get an IV fluid for bed 13! 500 mg of Claudine for bed 10!" Looking around he noticed that the others were still in a slightly confused state, hence he clapped his hands in front of them. "Get it together people! Move it!"
Soon enough doctors and nurses were moving in and out of the room. Trays after trays of medicine and medical tools were brought over. The hustle and bustle were similar to that of an emergency room. In fact, this basically was an emergency room for the girls. They had missed 12 f*cking hours of treatment! Of course, it was an emergency!
Seeing that everything was how it should've been, Sophia casually made her way out of their room, leaving everyone to their jobs.
KL, the man in his late twenties that was waiting for Sophia walked up to her and lead the way towards the twentieth floor where the CEO's office was. Once inside, Sophia sat down on the couch in the center of the room. She was casually waiting for KL to come back from his shock and speak up.
After a moment of silence, KL's gaze turned cold as he stared at Sophia in Luna's body. "Who are you?"
Sophia let out a faint smile before her calm voice rang within the room. "I'm Luna Grey."
KL scoffed. 'Of course, you are.' "What's your relationship with the boss?"
KL was a smart man. Luna was an ordinary student who just graduated from high school. How could she possibly have his private number? The other day when he received her call, he couldn't hear her real voice because of the f*cking robot voice changer installed in her phone, but he did guess something after seeing her take the motorcycle out after he parked it.
There should be something connecting her with Sophia for her to know the passcode to get the keys from the valet.
Sophia naturally followed his train of thoughts hence she broadened her smile a little bit more. "I'm her new assistant."
