Chapter 55 - The Spirit

After Gravis was gone Zaiden roamed around the room, it contained every necessity and a few strange fruits were placed nearby on the table. It was evident that only the building structure was made up of mana, while the rest of the stuff was made up of highly common elements and metals. However he couldn't bring himself to trust the brothers completely, thus he didn't touch anything in the room.

'Michal didn't have complete knowledge about my element, and somehow these people already sensed it, without me telling anything. Did this ability come from the mutations?'

Zaiden had numerous questions which required immediate answers. None of the people in vampire realm was able to figure it out. But the brothers exposed him in just the matter of seconds, Zaiden had figured out that they were powerful than those prideful ordinary vampires.

However he was sure about receiving anything useful from that place. But for that he had to visit Hexaphere on his own, Zaiden could feel the thirst developing. He didn't want to risk drinking the blood of mutants, they weren't vampires, and perhaps the vampire kingdoms themselves were unaware of their existence.

"I need to find my desired blood group before they feed me something weird."

Zaiden walked out of the room, planning to have a round of the place before lunch. The city of tech was highly normal on the inside of the glass comb, with huge stories serving different purposes. His dorm opened into an arcade, Zaiden headed towards right and noticed numerous such rooms.

While walking he noticed strange beings, the two brothers who seemingly owned the place possessed most 'human appearance.' The rest creatures clearly indicated that Hexaphere was a home to every outcast.

The hall appeared in front of Zaiden as he halted to focus on every single creature. Zaiden could spot elves, centaurs, fox clan and many more. He could smell the blood of every single creature present in the room, but the tinge of foul smell was combined within it.

'Their blood is strange, it's possible they could have possessed more powers than the rest vampires. Tainted blood is more useful than pure bloods, but why didn't the vampires find this secret?'

Zaiden blood was also tainted since he was a dhampir, that's why his abilities differed from others. And the very same fact made him suspicious about everything.

'I should consume everything what is being offered. Ugh...being blank really sucks. I have no clue about what is true and what's not.'

Gravis approached him from behind and Zaiden reflexively punched him. The mutant blocked his fist in his palm, but flinched a little upon feeling intense burn. The equilibrium of Hexaphere helped Zaiden to control his powers. However his magic still surfaced under the immense control, which was significant enough to harm Gravis.

"What are you doing here?"

Gravis sounded stern compared to his previous 'understanding' gestures. However he came to inform Zaiden that the portal has been repaired. It seemed that the place itself wanted to send Zaiden away, undoubtedly Hexaphere was a peaceful place and hidden from the outer world. The mystical energy of the place sensed some demonic entity within its premises, hence repaired the portal immediately.

The brothers had no other way to keep Zaiden confined, hence they appeared on the good front and let him go. They brought him to the outskirts of the city, in front of some adjoined trees. It was the moment when Curtis appeared in the place stating his concerns. The gateway out of the place was also some similar cave's entrance.

Zaiden didn't want to go back without fulfilling any single of his desired wishes. He turned towards Gravis and Garry as both of them came to bid him farewell.

"Before going back, I want to meet the seer you told me about."

Upon hearing Zaiden's words a discomfort expression appeared on their faces, but they successfully suppressed it and nodded. Both of them decided to extract Zaiden' element via his blood to attain power, apparently his O negative blood could grant immense powers.

That was the reason why all the classes among the vampires were haunting the noble bloods. But Zaiden was the only one born with such rare element, hence his valuable blood was desired by all. Both of the brother were reluctant in sending him back, even though he was on the initial stage of unlocking his powers.

Despite being on the beginners level Zaiden' blood was enough to grant different feats. But they had to send him back because the place itself had been rejecting Zaiden' presence. It was better to let him go for now rather than risking their potential kingdom, since they both were practically ruling the whole place.

"Oh sure! You can meet the seer before going, all you have to do is focus on summoning the spirit of this place. Hexaphere's mystical spirit is the seer, she can see everything incoming."

Garry explained him, while Zaiden understood that every place kind of had some separate spirits guarding the realm. No wonder they stopped talking to the vampires, since celestial beings could only be summoned by the worthy people. Zaiden sat down in the midst of the cave to focus on the spirit.

Curtis on the other hand felt nauseous, however the place served him well being friendly to celestial beings. Curtis could finally attain his body and wasn't a blob anymore.

Zaiden felt a faint rustling sound near him, he didn't open his eyes acknowledging the dire need to concentrate. The spirit of the place appeared in form of cool air, the cave's temperate dropped visibly. Both of the mutant brothers silently observed the changings, although they could already assume that the spirit of every place informed the similar thing about the 'chosen one.'

"What do you want, chosen dhampir?"

The spirit called out to Zaiden in a growling tone, it seemed as if some dragon had been conversing with him. However only the summoner could hear the spirit, just like Curtis' case. Zaiden had numerous questions in his mind, but he voiced out the biggest confusion.

"I want to know what is my fate? Why am I born, and what is my destiny?"
