Chapter 3 - Chapter 003: Nighttime

Bec was laying in what was considered as his bed but it was very well known that it wasn't. He laid uncomfortably and tried going to sleep but unlike every other night, this night he couldn't. He tossed and turned but couldn't seem to get tired. He sat up, walked outside via his secret exit and stood on a hill while looking over his favorite place to just be alone with his thoughts.

The town they lived near happened to also be next to a massive lake, large enough that you couldn't even see the other side from the other end of the lake. It was also perfectly still and clear, it was beautiful in every way. After Bec had seen it for the first time he fell in love with the view and it quickly became his favorite place to just sit and think. This was the first time he had left the house at night to look at the lake and it was even prettier then it normally would be. The stars reflected off of the water brilliantly and it seemed as though the sky just wrapped under you.

'Good thing it's still semi warm out, otherwise I'd probably die from being cold…'

He looked up at the sky and began to look for the constellations he had been making. He couldn't really think of anything good to base them on so he just made constellations based on stuff he liked in his previous life.

'Oh! There's the good old Nintendo! I wonder what happened with mine…Haha, I hope my family didn't through it out or sell it…'

He had made a Nintendo Famicom out of a total of 7 stars, it wasn't easy to make it out but it was still one of the things he was able to recognize pretty easily at this point.

He flopped down onto his back and continued to stare up at the sky. He began to look around the starts hoping to see something familiar from his days of learning astronomy but couldn't recognize anything.

'I wonder where Earth is…Maybe I could get one of the radio signals we sent out if I built a satellite…'

The wind had become a little stronger since he first arrived on the hill but it was refreshing to feel it go across his body. He felt as though he blended in with the scenery but he still felt as lonely as ever.

'I wonder, why is it that I was reincarnated? Why was I allowed to keep my memories? What are my friends and family doing now?'

He sighed and flipped over to look at the town in the distance. He could see people, presumably kids playing in the fields just outside the walls and they had some kind of light that they were using to ply around with.

'I wonder if they're playing something that's similar to man hunt. Now that I think about it I haven't gotten to know any body other then my family and I've been banned from going into town so I don't think I'll really have many chances to meet people…Why was I banned?'

He stood back up, waved goodbye to the lake and walked back to his house where he was finally able to go to sleep.
