Bec was cutting firewood with this father and was taking much longer to cut pieces then his father. Crax ran out of the house and jumped onto Bec. Since his birth two years ago Bec became the person Crax clung to the most. Bec's father waved them off and so Bec was free from his work.
'It's already been two years since learning how I came here and I haven't seen Yion since then either. She said she would bring be back soon so we can talk again but it has yet to happen so I wonder if something's going on…Guess I can't do anything about it so in the meantime I'll just love as I've been living for the past 4 years.'
Crax was riding on Bec's shoulders and hugging his head tightly.
"So what do you want to do?"
"Play!"
"Okay, let's get going then!"
Bec played with his younger brother for awhile and afterwards went on to practice his magic again. Even after all the training and practice he had done he still hadn't gotten that much better.
'I need to find out what my aptitude is. It's clearly not water or earth but I have no way of learning the other elements.'
He was now able to fire off a total of five water based spells in a short period of time but it still made him severely tired.
After a couple more hours night covered the land and the lights in town were dimming down making it hard to see the outline of it.
'Now that I think about it, I still don't know why we don't live in town…And why we're this far out in the first place…'
He was called to bed and laid upon what was still being considered his bed. He rolled onto his side and closed his eyes except it wasn't becoming darker, instead it was becoming brighter. He then jolted his eyes open to be greeted by a familiar goddess.
"Hey Bec, sorry for being gone for so long."
He looked around and was once again in the chamber he found himself in nearly two years ago. There were a few changes here and there but it was overall the same. That was until he turned fully around to be greeted by anime and game merchandise.
"Haha, I wanted to get closer to you so I thought I'd look at stuff that was popular in your old world and I found myself becoming enthralled by nearly everything…"
"I mean it's fine, I'm not one to judge a person's interests but…Never mind."
"So! Now that you know that I think it's time I move onto the main reason I summoned you back here!"
Bec stood up and sat in a chair as tea once again appeared in front of him. He took a cup and began drinking from it.
"So? What is it?"
"I've been working on trying to get something passed for awhile now and it has finally happened!"
"Is it something to do with me?"
"Yes and no. It's to the overall "isekai" project I've been working on. I can now officially give you minor guidance on things going on with your life! I can't do too much because then I'll probably not be trusted to give you advice again."
"So pretty much you're going to tell me what to do?"
"Not necessarily since you can choose to accept it or not. The main reason the other gods let this pass is because I can help you cover the concerns held with everyone. Specifically if you'd be a social outcast since you could feel weird being friends with someone who's in your case four. Do you think you could befriend someone around that age?"
"I mean sure. I don't see what would really prevent that given the fact that people can already talk at this age so I can be friendly with them quite easily."
"Do you think that could apply to everyone?"
"Most likely not everyone would find it that simple but I'm sure that a good chunk of people would be able to."
"Great! That means the others may finally get off my back about people possibly having trouble making friends…Wait! Then why haven't you made any friends, you've said it yourself that you get lonely at times."
"I haven't had any chances to unfortunately. Crax is keeping me pretty busy since he clings to me so much. It would be nice to have a friend or two again. Maybe even one day fall in love again but that may be awhile since I definitely still have some lingering feelings…It's hard to erase feelings that you had for years…"
"I can understand that, it took me a couple decades until I could finally rid my feelings of the person I loved…"
"Decades?"
"Well I perceive time differently then most people so a couple decades for me would have been like…Maybe five or ten years for you."
"Why such a big gap between those numbers?"
"Well I can't know for certain what it felt like!"
She crossed her arms and turned away from him while pouting. She sighed and turned to him again while he was drinking yet another cup of tea.
"So, do you want my guidance or not?"
"I mean it wouldn't hurt to know some stuff that's happening."
"Great! So, you want to make some friends, right?"
"Yeah."
"Then go to this shop in town and wait there until about noon. You'll meet someone who's the same age as you. I can't say anymore then that since it would be considered interfering…"
"So you're saying I'll be able to be friends with this person?"
"Yes! I'm sure you'll figure out what to do on the way."
Light surrounded him just like the last time and Yion was waving to him.
"Sorry I have to send you off so suddenly, I'll be sure to bring you back sooner this time!"
He opened his eyes to be found back in his house and Crax cuddling with him. Bec smiled and brought over more of his blanket to let Crax be a little warmer. It was fall so it was pretty chilly, especially since there is no insulation in his walls.
"Goodnight Crax."
He wrapped his arms around Crax and began falling asleep once again while getting cold shivers throughout his body.
