We finally got out of the house, got in the car, and drove off. It was quite nice getting dressed up after what felt like an eternity and Averie looked so good! Oh my god!
"Can you stop that?" Asked Averie.
"What?" I replied.
"Constantly looking at me. You're making me anxious. Do I have something on my face? Is my makeup all messed up? Is my makeup too much? Too less?" Averie started panicking and mumbling all sorts of things at once and checking her face in the mirror.
"Can you calm down? I am trying to drive. besides, there is nothing wrong with your face.
According to me, you don't even need makeup! You're perfect just the way you are. Not to mention today you're all dressed up, so don't even worry about it. You look beautiful" I said to her.
She Blushed. She blushed a lot, so much so when the signal came up and we stopped, she literally kissed me in the car. It felt like we were teenagers once again. She gave me a weird look since then and after that, she smiled.
We reached our restaurant. It was pretty fancy, I mean the kids just usually take us to McDonald's or something, so we're kind of used to going there and dressing for that. I'm not going to lie, it has been a while since we got all dressed up. We walked inside and the receptionist greeted us and asked us to wait by the bar. They were preparing the table for us and we didn't have a problem with it as Chazos wasn't here yet.
"Do you think she will get someone with her?" Asked Averie.
"I'm not sure. I want to say no, knowing her, but this time it might be a yes." I replied
"Now that you think about it, she never tells us to meet at a restaurant if they cannot serve gluten-free and dairy-free foods. So to go through all the effort of finding one that can and making sure to tell them how she wants things. I'm gonna say she's definitely going to get a guy" Thought Averie
"Can I get the both of you something to drink in the meanwhile?" The waiter, with the kindest of tones, asked us.
"I'll have Jameson's on the rocks and Long Island Iced Tea for the beauty next to me," I said
"What he said" replied Averie.
The waiter smiled and said "Coming right up."
The waiter got our drinks to us and it was good, better than what we make at home at the very least. We sat and chatted for a while and acted as if we were on our date waiting for Chazos.
At long last, she showed up. I greeted her as I always did.
"What's up dumbass? Please tell me you have a date?" I Asked
"Not exactly, he's my fiancé," Chazos replied.
Averie looked at me with shock and I looked at her so so confused and we both yelled "WHAT?!"
"He's just parking the car" she replied.
A man with blonde hair, spectacles, and a black suit walked in and said "Hey!"
"Averie, Atlas meet Benji." Chazos said
"It's not Benji. My name is Benjamin can you stop telling everyone that you call me Benji?" He replied looking all flustered and blushing.
We laughed and preceded towards our now-ready table.
