Chapter 5 - Life Long Dream.

We sat down at our table and just looked at each other for a while. I have no clue how it became so awkward so fast.

"Ok, this is ridiculous, it's not like we are meeting for the first time. No offense Benji" I said.

"See look what you've done," he said to Chazos.

"For the last time, it's Benjamin." He said to the three of us.

We finally laughed and this time it wasn't an awkward laugh. It was a genuine laugh. Who knew making fun of Benjamin was the key and main ingredient for an ice breaker?

"So tell me how's life," said Averie.

"Well, we just got an apartment in Arizona. It is nothing big or fancy. We don't plan on living there anyway" said Chazos.

"Oh, so you are finally chasing it? Your dream right from the time I met you. Nice, It is not like I prefer a big wedding anyway." I said.

"Hello? Am I missing something here?" Said Averie.

"We are not having a grand wedding, just gonna get eloped, with a couple of friends, including the two of you, and travel the world," Benjamin told everyone there.

"It's finally happened, all this while waiting for a perfect time or a perfect guy and you just walk along stealing my heart and dreams, and making it yours." Said Chazos.

"Ours," said Benjamin.

"Oh yes yes, 'ours' is the right word. My bad." Replied Chazos.

"So, what's the plan? Where to first?" Asked Averie.

"Well it's not confirmed yet, we still have to decide the order of the places we have to go to, so I don't wanna say anything till everything is confirmed. It's probably going to be Hawaii, Paris, something like that." Said Chazos.

"I was doing a little research and found out about a trek in the Swiss Alps. We definitely have to go there." Added Benjamin.

The conversation went on pretty well from there. No major complications or awkwardness after that. Mostly reminiscing about college.

There's this one particular story that Chazos remembered. It was in the fall of my junior year of high school. I guess this was the last exam and if I'm not wrong it was statistics or physics and there was this one friend Joe, who was panicking because he didn't go through an important theorem that was supposed to come and it later on in the paper it did come. Anyway, he was in a state of panic so I helped him out. It was pretty simple. So I explained it and felt so good helping someone else. Little did I know when the results came back and went through our marks he got it right and I, the person who explained it to him got it wrong. How stupid was I? Averie couldn't stop laughing. It wasn't so funny. I mean come on! We finished our dinner and left for the front door of the restaurant.

"This has been fun, we should do it sometime before you'll choose to elope." Averie and I replied.

"Yeah, we would love that. You should come by the house sometime. I can cook something, a barbeque maybe?" Said Chazos.

After that, we said our goodbyes and left to return home.

"That was a good night," said Averie.

"Yup, but I'm tired. We're becoming old aren't we?" I asked.

She nodded her head and smirked. We just enjoyed the night drive and played some good music.
