"Ahh."
"No!"
"Ehh."
Hakai struggled, moving around in the futon very uncomfortably. "Please, leave me alone!" He screamed as he rose out of the futon. "What the hell?" He said to himself, heavily sweating while looking into his palm. A spec of sweat fell onto it. "Not again…" He warned himself as he felt a sudden touch on his shoulder.
"What's wrong?" The soft lady's voice asked him.
"Ahh shit, a pervert!" He shouted at Miko, who disrupted his sleep. Then, jolting up from the futon, he began to burry himself deep inside this world, messing with Miko, trying to forget the hurtful past and the possibility of it ever reoccurring.
"I'm a what?" She shouted at him while blushing. "Only because I snuck a couple of peeks at your abs, it-it doesn't make me a pervert!" Then, finally, she fainted from all the embarrassment.
"Oi, Miko-Chan?" He asked her while looking over. "Miko-Chan?" He repeated her name. "I didn't mean to insult or scare you! Miko-Channn!" He screamed her name while falling to his knees at her side. Picking her upper body up to his thighs, he violently shook her while screaming out to her. "Miko-Chan!!!"
"I'm fine..." She slowly got up, opening her eyes. She found his chest buried between the folded shower kimono. "I uhh-" She again fainted with a smile this time. "I'm in a dream where Haki is holding me!" She said while dozing off.
"Miko-Chan, your probably tired, huh?" The dunce Hakai said as he laid her down on the futon and covered her with the blanket. "Goodnight." He said as he got up and headed towards the door. Walking down the long hall, he finally saw the light to the main entrance. "My body still feels heavy," Hakai said as he held onto his chest. "Monkeyface did a number on me." He teased himself in hopes of taking him down next time. "Just he waits!" He shouted, holding a fist up to his chin.
"Who waits for what?" A familiar voice said behind him in the hall.
"Eek!" Hakai screamed, turning around in haste. "Oh, Monkeyface, what are you doing?" Hakai asked the soaked Hachi with a suspicious sideways grin.
"Finished taking a shower. Now I need to report something," Hachiman said as he dried his hair with a towel.
"Report? About what?" Hakai asked, raising one eyebrow.
"Let's go, follow me," Hachiman instructed as he walked in front of Hakai.
"Alright, it's already dark. You know I don't like going against your people's wishes." Hakai shrugged. "Make it quick so I can leave." He said, throwing his hands in the air and holding the back of his head.
"Roger," Hachiman replied while walking into the entrance and walking into another long hall.
"Come in." He held the sliding door while inviting Hakai in.
"Woah!" Hakai's eyes sparkled, looking around at all the scrolls and shelves. Books were abundant in this massive room, and he couldn't help but touch one or two of them in curiosity.
"Oi, don't make a mess," Hachiman said as he walked up to a massive desk. On top of the desk were a half blank scroll and fresh bruh and ink beside it.
"I'm guessing this is the-" Hachiman stopped him, stealing the words right out of his mouth.
"Hmm, the communication room. Unlike you, I'm not linked to a Tennyo." He said while sitting in the office chair, resembling a gaming chair. "Tennyo communication mental link only came about thirty years ago. Back then, they had to descend the heavens and deliver messages." He explained to the blank expression Hakai.
"I know..." Hakai uttered as he held the book with dulled expression.
"Anyway, hang out here until I finish the report. You can read it after," Hachiman told him as he picked up the new brush and dipped it into the ink.
"Aha!" Hakai complained while turning around to find an office chair. "Mhm." He smirked.
"Woahh!" He screamed in excitement while dashing through the room on the chair. And through all that commotion, Hachiman never took his attention away from the report.
Hachiman dipped the brush into the ink once again and wrote. "After defeating the first evolved Phantom, I approached the 'New Type,' an evolved spirit. After questioning and coming to an end deal, he confessed: "The New type is an experimental phantom. They are designed to devour a human spiritual core, taking all the emotions, consciousness, etc., from the host. As he stated, it is a rebirth of a phantom, with a mind, reason, awareness, speech, unique personalities, and special abilities and traits." The New type devours the human soul, containing the core, where all the human complexities, emotions, personalities, consciousness exist." He dipped the brush once again.
"Nevertheless, as we all know, this process completely eliminates the soul. The devoured human soul has a unique energy that boosts most of everything in an evil being. However, this was the most he could recall. The mastermind behind this plan is the fallen God of Death, Shinigami. The creator of phantoms and advanced manipulator of negative energy. The Seven Dark Lords are starting to make their moves, the Holy War is at our doors, and we need to take this matter to the utmost severity." Hakai read the report in utter shock. He cut short and slowly looked up to Hachi while shaking in anger.
"So, these New Types are former humans?" Hakai asked Hachi while shaking.
"Not entirely, but yes." He answered his question while crossing his arms.
"So, not only do we have to kill a phantom, but also a human now? Not to mention, you already have." A vein popped out in his neck.
"Haven't we all?" Hachiman shut him down as he reclined back into the comfy office chair. Left speechless, Hakai couldn't think of anything but accept the current conditions and affairs.
"I see. I'll do what I have to do." Hakai handed back the scroll to Hachi while staring into his palm. "Well, I have to go get my clothes." He told his friend to dress back into his clothes while heading to the room.
"Alright, I will be going now." Hakai looked back at Hachi with a blank face.
"Yo, Hakai. Listen, no one's judging what you have to do. These aren't humans anymore, and I'm sure if they did exist somewhere inside that ugly beast, they'd want to end it before causing chaos." Hachiman said. "We swore an oath to protect humanity, at least for my case. However, like it or not, you're a Warrior of Humanity, so do what needs to be done to protect these precious people." Hachi encouraged him with fury in his voice. "Don't look so gloomy, wimp. It doesn't fit you." He stated while turning around and walking away.
"Thanks-" Hakai uttered under his breath as his expression became a bit more lively.
Wham!
