Chapter 39 - Chapter 37: Always Forgetting Something

Running across a building, he leaped onto the next one with excitement. "Woah!" He shouted out loud. Letting out a burst of laughter, the haunting thoughts of killing a human core finally seemed to leave his mind. Though he still felt guilty, this was nothing new to the God of Destruction. Though he still had trouble taking in such actions' massive pressure, he understood it himself.

Finally, it seemed like his emotions boiled over, and his only option was to explode in a deep episode of letting everything out. "If the protector of humanity boils over, who will be there for me? Who will be able to keep their emotions in check if I can't keep my own In check?" He asked himself as he leaped far away into the sky.

"Woaaahooo!" He shouted while falling to the earth. Hakai posited his feet and landed on a roof. Then, running again, he leaped onto another. Whizzing past a building, he looked into the window and noticed something in his eyes. "Hmm, why don't I try this?" He said to himself, jumping from roof to roof. Finally, he positioned himself towards Mai's house and slowly closed his left eye. "Channel as much energy as I can!" He said to himself as he clenched his fists.

Shkeen!

He teleported fifty meters onto a street. Falling, he prepared for landing. "No one nearby?" He asked himself while analyzing the road.

Shup!

He harmlessly landed on the street, kicking up some dust. Walking away and cutting around the corner, he placed his hands into his pockets. Somewhat irritated, he complained. "The positive amp just doubled my visual prowess." He noted while staring at the moving ground. Why did it only double everything!" He said to himself, not paying attention while walking.

Bing!

He bumped forehead first into a street pole. "Ow!" He shouted, holding his forehead. "It hurts!" He screamed out loud, hands to his side. Reaching the boiling point, he decided to hop up on the roofs again and make his way to the residential area. "Screw this." He commented as he leaped from object to object atop a small building.

Another thought came across while jumping, back, front, and side flipping from building to building. "I wonder if Tennyo-Chan did that deposit wireless thing!" Hakai said to himself, noting there might be a nearby bank.

"Hmm."

"Haa."

"Hoo."

Hakai hummed while dancing down a building, landing on his feet from a direct backflip. He placed his right hand into his pocket, reaching for his card. Pulling out the card, he stood in front of the Automated Teller Machine. Enthusiastic, he slowly placed the card into the insert slot and patiently waited for it to load up the pin screen. Then, he typed his pin with a small song with sparkling eyes. "7777 is my pin, the gateway to my happiness." A smile stretched from ear to ear while waiting for the amount to display.

"Wait?"

"What?"

"Huh?"

He displayed three utterly stunned expressions, all after another while the amount finally appeared.

"I have 166228.49 yen?"

{Author note: 166228.49 Yen: equals 1438.16 USD}

"No way! I have received more money from this single mission than that thirty mission I did back then!" He noted to himself as he searched his pockets for the old cash. "Huh?" He searched and patted himself, worrying. Specs of sweat fell from his face. "I must've lost all my money during that trouble in Ama-Chans dimensional heavens!" A tear fell down his jawline. He hiccupped as he tried to speak. "All that hard work for nothing!"

"Aha!" He shouted in frustration. "Let me get some cash for later this night." Hakai pressed the button.

"5779.85 yen should be enough!" He said to himself while wiping the tears away with his other hand.

{5779.85 = 50 American dollars!}

While dispensing the cash, he finally realized something. "I'm taking way too long. I need to go before Mai-San sleeps!" In a hurry, he finally realized, took the cash, released his card, and ran towards her house again. Hakai is just like a child at times, he forgets most of the things he wants to do, and sometimes his attention is grabbed by something other than what he had previously wanted to do.
