Chapter 43 - Chapter 41: Gods of Heaven and Earth

"So, how are you feeling now?" He asked her placing his hands behind his head. Walking in front of her, he glanced back. She looked calm, more than before.

"I'm fine, but my head is a bit fuzzy still, but I think I have the hang of it now." She told him, holding the side of her head.

"I know you're not fine. It's okay not to be; sometimes painful experiences teach us valuable lessons." He turned around, leaning in her face. He softly smiled.

She blushed, caught off guard by his delicate features and cute smiling way. Looking away, she admired his efforts to comfort her. His words seemed to stick with her. Her face lit up as she nodded. "Hmm, your right. Thank you!" She smiled. "Even though he's a 'God,' it feels so normal with him. I feel so secure around him." She thought to herself as the pair walked towards the school. Noticing the gap between them, she ran to his side.

"Right! I am right!" He blushed, knowing someone acknowledged his once-in-a-lifetime clever words.

Arriving at her school, Hakai smiled and gestured for her to go on. Unable to think of a way to thank him properly, she bowed and blurted. "If you ever need anything, come to me!" She screwed up, even she felt it.

"Really? Thank you!" Hakai jumped in happiness.

The front entrance was packed with students, and they were all watching Mai speak to herself.

"You might want to stop now..." Hakai looked into the sky, placing his hands into his pockets.

"What do you mean-" Mai rose from her bow to see everyone staring at her. "Huh?" She sounded while looking at Hakai.

"They can't perceive my presence, remember." He informed her, narrowing his vision on a cloud.

"Right, sorry..." She apologized as the students just walked away. Hakai seemed a bit sad.

"Hmh, no need. Get going. Have a good one." He told her, walking in the opposite direction with his hands in his pockets.

"I will. You take care of yourself, please!" She shouted, waving, catching the attention of the students again. "Oops!" She placed her arm down and walked into the school, a bit embarrassed and happy.

"Hm..." Hakai hummed, leaping away into the sky.

While Hakia patrolled the city, jumping from building to building. A quick, unusual, transmitted message from Tennyo activated. "Lord Hakai, trouble!" Tennyo shouted as an array of bright golden lights appeared, following Hakai as he landed on top of a building.

"What the hell?" He said as he felt every nerve and fiber transmit elsewhere.

Wham!

In a blink of an eye, he disappeared along with the golden ray.

The golden ray sucked him into the vacuum of light. Then, transported into a world of brightness, he could hardly open his eyes. "Where am I?" He asked himself as his eyes adjusted.

"Hakai God!"

"Warrior of Humaity."

"The court of High Heavens?" Hakai asked as he stood up. "What have I done?" He asked, pointing both his hands at himself.

Silence crept in as the invisible floating golden bodies said nothing. Then, finally, one stretched his right arm forward and forced it down. A gravitational wave followed, pressuring Hakai onto his knees again.

"Bow, for you are in front of the Gods of Heaven, fool!" The deep voice of a man demanded.

"Shit!" Hakai cursed as his body couldn't withstand that much pressure. He screamed in agony. "Ahh!" His screams filled the infinite golden room.

"Stop!" Another golden cloaked figure from across the first arched row of golden bodies shouted. As told, the man who attacked Hakai stopped.

"Lower your tone. You are speaking to A God of Heavens, War God, Hachiman." The same man demanded as he placed his hands into a Pipa sleeve Hanfu.

{Pipa sleeve is a type of Hanfu. It has a large sleeve and smallmouth, narrow armpit, and a Pipa-like shape. The sagging portion of the sleeve is rounded and broad}

"My apology..." Hachiman, with his figure invisible in the golden light, apologized.

"Hachiman..." Hakai said his name as his vision dimmed. He fell headfirst, hitting his face on the golden ground. He fought to remain awake.

"My brethren of both the Heavens and Earth. I have hereby summoned you for an upcoming battle. One that demands Hakai God to attain his old vessel. However, this will be decided by a formal vote. The majority wins." One of the Heaven Gods informed the rest of the room. The world stretched in an infinite matter of directions. However, the number of Gods at the meeting was uncountable.
