Synopsis
The sun is not rising. My desolation is born. The moon does not shine through the darkness. A pair of green eyes shine in my darkness and burn my heart to ashes. I didn't know love was so painful before I met you. Tell me, will the sun rise for both of us one day? Will the sun rise in both of us one day? Tell me, who am I? Am I the victim? Or am I the murderer? The sun is not rising, Soldier. And I'm afraid of the dark. But I promise you that one day I will pierce this darkness with the burning bodies of those who destroyed me. The sun will not rise, doomsday will come. I will still look for you everywhere. Because there is only one truth in my heart. Even if I can never see the sun, I will never give up on you.

Chapter 1 - Don't Make Me Promises You Can't Keep

[Gloria Regali - Tommee Profitt, Fleurie🎶]

Make no promises to the bluebird that you cannot keep, or it will tear off your sinful tongue with its beak.

There was Istanbul in Turkey, England had London. Lighdark also had Zehera then.

The name of the country where I lived was Lighdark. The name of the city was Zehera.

The sun never rose in Zehera. If you were in Zehera, you couldn't get out of this city. According to the state, there was an epidemic everywhere except Zehera, and if you left this city, you would die. I'd rather die than live here.

Zehera had prohibitions. You couldn't use technology, and you wouldn't even be able to see communication devices in your dreams. Everything was limited.

Zehera was a terrible city. And I was all alone in this city.

Most people in this city had supernatural powers, and those people would have to attend an academy. I was also one of them.

I used to dream of freedom before I went to sleep at night. Even if I was going to die, I would like to die in a place where I am not ruled by anyone. I wish I could see the sun that would brighten my loneliness. But that seemed impossible. What if not?

Here it all started that night. I could feel something was wrong when the headmaster of the academy hurriedly woke us all up. When all the students at the academy gathered in the main garden, the Soldiers we saw before were like harbingers of doom. They had come to take the Weapons. They wanted one or more of us. They always wanted more.

The Soldiers were not honorable warriors as described in the history pages. They were pawns of our abominable state, and they always disregarded our lives. To them, we were all just monstrosities. They had no uniforms. They were not official. And most importantly, they were dangerous.

As I watched the grass on the ground with my head bent forward, I was freed from my thoughts when the person next to me poked my shoulder. "What happened?" I said without bothering to look up. There was no answer.

"Reverie Alenas!" A deep male voice said. "Look at my face."

When I looked up with a startle, I saw a man who was taller than me. His dark green eyes glowed like fire even in this darkness. His dark brown hair was draped over his forehead and his brows were furrowed. No, I said spontaneously. Don't choose me.

"You're coming with me," He said when he grabbed my wrist and pulled me to himself. When the scent, which was fascinating despite his annoying movements, filled my nose, I was stunned and started walking without resisting. I shouldn't have allowed that.

Use your power, stupid!

I stopped walking and pressed my fingernails on my palms when I tossed a lock of my light brown hair back in front of me with my free hand. Everyone in the garden started screaming and rushing into the academy when I raised my hand in the air, and when I raised the car ahead and blew it up. I knew everyone in the academy was afraid of my powers, even though I had never used my powers against them. Even the teachers were afraid of my powers, I knew this because they never got angry with me when I made a mistake. As the white energy emanating from my hands was making me rise into the air, I saw the Soldiers pull out their weapons and point them at me. I didn't want to obey anymore. But one person was missing. The man who was trying to take me was gone. He was with me just before, he was holding me. When was he out of sight?

When I looked frightened under my body, I saw that he was watching me numbly, with his head up. I was surprised because, despite my aggressive behavior, he was not even a step away from me, and normally I couldn't see him because I was looking for him somewhere far from me. I could not see the man standing at my foot. After shaking his head with disapproval, he jumped up suddenly and grabbed my leg, and tried to pull me down. Or so I thought.

As he climbed from my leg to my body, I was beginning to think how a normal person could do this. As he grasped every single point of my body without hesitation, when our faces were aligned, he stopped and bowed his head, and frowned. When our eyes met, I saw a terrible power in his eyes. He was scaring me.

"Go down," He said in a calm voice. I listened to him and started to descend slowly. When I got down on my knees, he lifted my face, kissed my forehead, and smiled. "Well done, my girl."

Tears started to flow from my eyes. "Leave me," I said helplessly. "Hush," He said, bringing his suddenly changing face closer to my face. "Come on, Reverie... Come on, beautiful... Sleep now. Tomorrow will be a good day."

"You are lying!" There was a hiccup in my throat. My eyes were closing.

"Tch," He said as he grabbed my neck and thigh and raised me to his lap. "I'm not lying. You will enjoy freedom when the time comes."

"Promise?" My consciousness was about to shut down.

"Promise."

I saw in my dream that kingdoms that nobody loved were destroyed and kings were brutally burned. The future and the past were intermingled, and the sun, which had not been seen for years, was burning people's skin. I looked at the sky to see the sun. I haven't seen it since the day I was born. I didn't know what it looked like or how it felt.

When I looked at the sky, I didn't feel anything in my skin. However, everyone around me was excitedly saying that the sun was very hot. My skin was very cold and the sun was not penetrating under my skin. But that was not the main thing that surprised me. It was dark all around, I was immersed in eternal black and didn't know how to get out. Why was the sun dark?

"I can't see the sun," I said with quiet disappointment. "I can't feel it either." The fingers I felt suddenly in every part of my skin made me startled, but I couldn't move. I didn't have a hole to run. "The sun is invisible to your eyes, little girl. You crush the sun with your darkness, the sun is afraid of you and your skin resembles the coldness of a bottomless winter night. What is the use of feeling the sun even if it does not warm you up?"
