"You really are here." A smirk danced on Harry's lips, leaning against the wall as the brunette walked out of the bathroom. "I thought Maven and Sky were lying.  Unfortunately not."

Callie rolled her eyes. "And you are still creepy. Waiting for girls outside of the bathroom. Such a creep, Harrison Lincoln." Callie mocked the blonde boy.

Harry chuckled, pulling the girl into a hug. "I've missed being in the same school as you." He muttered, pulling away from the hug.

"Maybe, if someone hasn't transferred here, we'd still be together in Qetsiyah Academy." The brunette sang.

Harry and Callie have known each other since primary school in Qetsiyah Academy, along with their two best friends, Maven and Skylyn. Harry transferred to Arcturus Academy when he became a high school student which disappointed his friends.

"It's a good thing you transferred here." Harry said, wrapping his arm around her shoulders before walking towards the cafeteria. "It's amazing here. I'm sure you'll love it."

All students seemed to eye the two, most especially Callie since she was new around there. Whispers and rumors began to unload. Harry seemed to notice the whispering around them. Harry glared at the students who dared to say anything bad about her which shut them up and quickly avoided Harry's deathly glares.

"Don't ever transfer back to Qetsiyah Academy, Ali. I don't want their germs getting all over you." Harry said before they sat down. "How's your first day?"

"Guys are asking for my number." Callie said. "I told them that my older brother was a lawyer but they didn't budge. They aren't afraid of my brothers being lawyers, Harry. I miss Qetsiyah Academy. Boys there get scared  because my brother is a lawyer."

Harry snickered. "You should have told them you had a boyfriend or a girlfriend." Harry suggested. "They surprisingly back off."

"It's common decency, Harrison. It's something you don't have." Commented the brunette with a smirk  plastered on her face.

On the other side of the cafeteria, Rhys was eyeing the  new girl with Harry. He was surprised to see her having a new friend so quickly.

After eating lunch, Harry insisted on walking Callie to her classroom which the brunette gladly accepted. They spent the minutes together, laughing and telling stories.

"Want to hang out later?" Harry asked, bumping his shoulders with hers. "I'm planning on inviting Maven and Sky."

"Sure." Callie answered, enthusiastically. "Wait for me because you have to drive me home. My brothers are busy, they can't pick me up."

They stopped in front of Class 5. "I'll wait for you. Don't worry." He said. "Go inside. I'll see you later."

Callie nodded, entering the classroom. As soon as she entered the room, girls started to approach her.

"Are you close with Harry Lincoln?" one of the girls asked.

"Yes." Callie answered, bluntly.

"Did you know him before?"

Callie nodded. "He's my best friend, why?"

"You are so cool! You are close with someone from the  basketball team!"

"Thanks?" Callie said, unsure of how to reply before walking over to her armchair. She slumped down on her chair, pulling out her phone. Callie was a bit annoyed  that her phone kept vibrating.

Her phone was ringing, catching the attention of all  her classmates. She muttered sorry before glancing at  her phone. Scowling as she read the caller ID, she declined the call.

Harry kept his word. He was outside the classroom of Callie by dismissal time. He smiled at the girls who came out of the classroom, making them giggle.

"God, you're still flirting with every girl you see."  Callie groaned. "You have to stop that. One of these days, you'll be flirting with a girl with a very protective boyfriend." The brunette warned. "I'd be careful."

Harry gasped, dramatically. "I do not flirt with every girl I see." He argued. "I don't flirt with you and Sky."

"Because we are immune to your stupid charms, Harrison." She explained. "You should know that by now."

"I hate you, Ali."

"Whatever you say, Harry."

The two of them drove to the other side of the town. It  was a long drive, but they got to the diner just in  time. Sky and Maven were already in their usual booth,  bickering about something.

"Callie!" Maven said, enthusiastically. "You look stupid in that uniform."

"That's the Maven I know." Callie sneered before sitting besides Sky. "Anything interesting happened?" she asked as Harry sat besides Maven.

"Charlie and Maven fought some guys who were talking trash about you." Sky informed, showing the bruised hand of Maven. "It was amazing." She quipped.

Maven quickly pulled his hand away, scoffing. "I thought that we weren't supposed to tell 'em, Skylyn." Maven frowned.

Callie's face softens. "You shouldn't have, Maven." She  said, lowly. "Can you tell my cousin to stop punching  people? He'll get a restraining order the next time he goes around and punches people again. That goes the same thing for you, Maven Kingsley."

Harry rolled his eyes. "Let him be. He was defending his dearest friend. As he should." Harry remarked.

"Also, they shouldn't even be talking about trash about  you, Ali." Stated the Sky, putting her blonde hair up into a bun. "They got what they deserved and with a special bonus from Charlie."

Callie shook her head in amusement. She kind of felt proud and happy that her friends and cousin defended  her even though she wasn't there. It truly touched her heart.

"Anyway, are we still up for our college plan?" Callie  asked, changing the subject. "No one is backing out. Please." She whined.

Sky rolled her eyes before reluctantly nodding. "Yes.  All four of us will be going to the same college." Sky  started.

"Anyone who will be backing out will be considered dead." Maven continued.

"All four of us will be going to Qetsiyah Academy for college." Harry finished. "I can't wait to go back. One more year and we'll be in college." He sighed heavily.

"Everything seems so surreal. Nothing bad has happened to me yet. " Callie muttered. "I hope everything will be  good this year."

"You still believe in that?" Maven asked. "You still  believe that you are cursed with misfortunes?"

"You know that every year something bad happens to us,  Maven." Callie replied. "Just waiting for the  misfortune to hit me."

Sky sighed, laying her head on Callie's shoulders. "You shouldn't worry about that, Callie. Everybody gets misfortunes , you shouldn't be hiding away because of  it. Live your life. Don't wait for the bad luck to  come. Enjoy your youth while you can. Be bold."
