UNEXPECTED STRANGER (1)
A week have already passed since they've arrived inside the Astro's Labyrinth. That is also how long Stalane and Syton have started teaching their two new companions, Blaze and Kerin.
Stalane yawned as she kept waiting for a fish to take a bait. For the past few days, they already caught almost 20 in total. None of them were a prince fish.
"This is taking so long" Syton complained.
Stalane watched how Syton gave up on fishing and started to walk towards where Blaze and Kerin was training.
In the end Stalane gave up and took on their request in training Kerin. Although, all she did was just gave him some training menu. Kerin obediently and diligently followed the tips and advices that Stalane have said.
On the other hand, Syton spars with Blaze sometimes. He said that he was also benefiting from it since Blaze's path of the sword is the opposite of his.
Blaze and Kerin was fighting against each other on the side as advised by Stalane.
Even at first glance, you'll already noticed their wounds and how messy they look like. Both of them are all battered up. Yet, they endured the pain and kept training for days. They even risked their lives for how many times already.
Ever since Stalane was appointed as one of the person who will train them, she made Blaze and Kerin as the one who will handle all the deras that will come their way. Stalane didn't bother to lift a finger to help them, even when they're already at the verge of dying.
It was a good thing that Syton was there or else both Blaze and Kerin might have been already dead. Stalane just glared at whenever Syton interferes.
Syton saw how terrible Blaze and Kerin fight, thus he understood where Stalane was coming from. He also knows why Stalane was doing all of that. As what the saying says, experience is the best lesson. But Syton can't bear seeing someone die before his eyes.
When Syton saw how Stalane coldly look at him, he tried to lightened up the atmosphere but he knew that Stalane didn't like what he did. Ever since that time he tried his best to not interfere, but he miserably failed holding it in.
No matter how much Stalane dislikes the way Syton acts, she still let him be.
The deras around the Astro's Labyrinth is not a joke. They were just at the outermost part of the place and yet the deras are all high-ranking. It could almost compare to how strong the deras were at the Tree of a Realm.
Stalane sighed as she also gave up fishing. She followed where Syton went. He was supervising Blaze and Kerin's training.
She noticed how Syton looked at them pitifully. She rolled her eyes. She can't understand why Syton was too concerned about these two guys.
"Both of you can stop for now. You can rest while fishing" Stalane ordered.
Syton was also surprised by her orders. He was too happy for her decision, his eyes was even twinkling while looking at her.
"Stop looking at me like that. I was getting bored and was feeling to roam around for a bit" Stalane said with a bored face.
Syton got excited by what he heard. But before Syton was about to say anything, Stalane already rejected whatever he was thinking.
"No. You should stay here and watch over those two. You know how dangerous this place is. Besides, I won't be going too far" Stalane said.
Syton smiled meaningfully at her, but he did not bother to tease her anymore.
"Okay, be careful then. Just contact me if you ran into some kind of trouble" Syton reminded her.
Stalane nodded before she looked at the two other guys. She was coldly looking at them before she decided to leave.
Syton chuckled. Kerin and Blaze could felt chills run over their spine from that stare. Although, they were slowly getting used to Stalane's personality both of them couldn't help but to feel scared still.
"Don't mind her too much. Didn't you hear what she said earlier? She was worried for you two" Syton comforted the two of them.
----
Stalane was walking around the area, trying to appreciate the place even more. Up until now, she can't believe that she'll be able to see a mystical place such as this. Even though they are only at the outermost part of the Astro's Labyrinth, it is still evident how magical and extraordinary the place was.
Minutes later, she heard a rustling sound. She could also feel a presence near her and she was sure that it was neither of the members from their party.
Stalane got more alert as she brought out her weapon.
"Who are you? There's no point in hiding from me!" Stalane warned as she scanned the area, trying to locate the person.
With her warning, the man showed himself. Stalane who was alert earlier slowly let down her guard after seeing the person.
"What are you doing here, Kaleigh?" She asked coldly while crossing her arms.
Kaleigh ignored her question as he proceeds to compliment her. He used notitia to see her stats. "I'm glad that you're sharpness on your surrounding is still there. Hmmm, it seems you've also grown stronger than the last time I saw you"
Kaleigh walk closer to where Stalane is. Stalane raised up her guard once more when she saw him approaching her. But, Stalane was surprised at Kaleigh's action.
He patted her head!
Kaleigh did! A cold-looking man patted her with affection! Why?!
The next words that comes out from his mouth shocked Stalane even more.
"I missed you" he whispered, not wanting to Stalane to hear it. But she did hear it!
Her eyes widened and Kaleigh then realized she heard it. Kaleigh just gave her a warm smile that she doesn't expect even more.
"W-what are you saying?" Stalane stuttered as she tried to avoid his longing eyes. She was sure that her cheeks were already burning up.
Was he always been like this? As far as she knows, Kaleigh never acted like this before
Is she dreaming to hear such things? Is she under in another illusion or something?
If she was, she wish to wake up! Because this illusion doesn't makes any sense at all!
